Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing & Review

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

Are You Crazy! During the school year it was the same girls day after day after day. In the summer you met new girls everyday...

Maybe that's just a city thing. I don't know.

Yeah, there wasn't much to do in these parts back when rocks was soft. School corralled 'em nicely so's you didn't have to work so hard to catch 'em. LOL

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

Nice Photo Shoot Ice. You have a little forest there.

Amen to that.

Do you remember how long a School year would last? Each year at the end of school it felt like it was going to be forever before you seen the friends that didn't live in your neighborhood again when summer vacation was only 2 and 1/2 months. And boy was summer vacation long... (in a good way)
Now 2 & 3 months go by & I'm still trying to pay for the same bill.

T-Minus 1 day Details in my signature...

I grew up in the Midwest where we had 4 seasons, so each year, the change of temps and light and all would "awaken" the body to that season and I remember right between the spring/summer time, sitting in class, sweating, since most classrooms then didn't have AC in my school, and the days would just go sooooo slow.... where weekends seemed like months, and months seemed like years, and the end of the school year...eternity...LOL. And then finally that last few weeks of school would come and all you wanted to do was go play with your friends, but it seemed you would just sit and watch the clock and it would take forever for hours to go by, let alone the final weeks of school before summer break. And then finally you get on summer break, and before you know it, school was starting again...!!! Its true, time flies when your having fun...and now to be added, "when your getting old" LOL.

Yeah, summer vacation felt like FOREVER and I was actually READY to go back to school by the time it was over! LOL

I've always felt this effect is related to the way a Mongoose can take on a Cobra because its metabolism is so hyped that to its perception, the world is moving in slow motion.

The good news is that nowadays, the workday passes like nothing. The bad news is that EVERY day also passes like nothing. :lot-o-toke:

Very good perception Boscoe, I too think that is very true...When we are young, our brains seem more active, metabolisms higher and were amped up on hormones and caffeine. I think your right how our busy minds at that age and metabolisms made the world seem slower. Now as we age, our minds slightly slow down, metabolisms definitely slow down, and even energy levels and hormone levels have slightly decreased, so now we slow down but the world around us seems to have sped up... Very cool analogy, and I too believe it is pretty accurate! Thanks for sharing that!

I'm on the back nine now, well maybe the fifteenth hole, and it sure does go quickly. I thought this analogy quite apt: "Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer to the end, the faster it goes". And so it goes... Enjoy your day, and love your Mothers who made this journey all possible.

And on another note, great grow! Am dying to buy some new technology!

Great analongy MKenyon! Love it man! thanks for sharing.... I guess another analogy to be along with that... "life is like a roll of toilet paper, as soon as your done cleaning up the sh!t and flush it out, some other @sshole is ready to drop some more back in its place" LOL.... <---stoner thought, actually just thought of it right now. LOL

Thanks for sharing the analogy! I definitely love my Mama! Well both my parents equally :) (Hi Dad! I know your probably reading this ) :) BTW, everyone say hello to my dad, he loves reading my journals :)

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

hey ice the girls look great i wish i had decided to train i have plants all different heights ah well next time, funny yours are as far into flower as mine but i have been flipped a week or so longer it took almost 3 weeks to see flower set dang 18/6 i much prefer glr and only waiting a week for flower set! and not having all that stretch . lol :rocker:

Hey BID!!! What up man!!! Wow, 3 weeks, thats a long time! I ran an 18/6 on this grow and I think it took about 7-9 days to see the little white hairs protruding out of the nodes, definitely seemed slightly longer than when I run GLR, which seems to be about 5-6 days from flip for full blow flower for me...

I did spray them with Bloomit 1 week prior to the flip, and again during the flip which may have helped. I read that depending on what type of form of Nitrogen is used, it can lead the plant to veg tendencies or bloom tendencies. I think it was earlier in this journal it was mentioned and I believe it was something to do with Ammonium being for bloom and Nitrate being for veg. Bloomit uses both and has a very strong ammonia smell, where as the Amaze uses only nitrate and urea...Maybe that might have jumped them into bloom faster... did you use bloomit?

Its funny, I actually didn't have much stretch at all, maybe about 1' total of growth for the entire stretch period, so the plants only grew about 33% taller during the stretch instead of the usual 2x or more that I see quite often with my OG's so I am not sure if it is the strains that I am running this grow, since I never have run them before, or what, but I am happy they didn't get taller because I would have run out of room :)

Thats the beauty of these I-Grow lights we have, next run we can change up the spectrums slightly to match our plants growth characteristics, so awesome the flexibility we now have :)

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

I NEVER was ready to go back!

lol i hated school i missed every day i could except friday i would show up test out get 100% and ditch till next friday,i was never challenged in school till college , but i didnt care for the social aspect, summer was way to short, i learned more in summer, color me weird i guess! :rocker:

LOL School was where the girls were, so I looked forward to that. And the library. :grinjoint:

Maybe that's just a city thing. I don't know.

I was never ready to go back to school. I always wanted to just hang out with friends, go cruise for girls, play some sports of some time or cause mischief...LOL One thing though I did make sure of is that when I did go to school, to do my best and get good grades... luckilly it was pretty easy for me, so it actually made me somewhat of a trouble maker, because I didn't need to pay attention in class, I just would read my book, understand the content, and didn't need the teacher going over what I just read...I was the one in the back blowing fart noises, or throwing paper balls at others...LOL, but the teachers loved me because I was such a good student, I guess it kind of weighed itself out...LOL

Yeah, girls were everywhere, back then malls, parks, driving around...everywhere so anytime I could be out and about meeting chicks I was doing so... school I always just went to, did my best, and then looked forward to sports after school.

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

Looking very nice my friend!!
Gotta ask, what's your method for flushing, how long do you do it? And do you use a flushing agent?

Thanks man

Hey Hidden Koncept.... Thanks!

I don't really "flush" since I pretty much use all natural and organic ingredients, but I do reduce the amounts of any organic nutrients or additives in my feedings the last 2 weeks to about 1/4 strength, as well as lots of compost teas. But I technically don't "flush" I just feed as normal with reduced additives.

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

Icemud, I have documented all of your grows and specifically your soil/foliar/tea recipes and have a question. Do you have a favorite soil recipe (with amendments)? You do a lot of experimenting so it seems no two are the same. It also may be what you have on hand. If your willing to share, I will make up the recipe, send it to the lab for analysis and share the report with you.

Thanks

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

I think you could fit another plant in there.

Just kidding but seriously sweet indoor forest you have there Icemud. Seeing how dense and lush it is in there really makes me think that your LED does well with deep light penetration. Your growth looks as good if not better than a 600 Watt HID lamp.

Hey Mouse/Michelle! Thank you so much for your awesomeness! I am so far very pleased with the growth I am seeing :) stay tuned because these buds are getting bigger by the day!

I don't have a specific recipe but so far the soil mix I am currently using seems to be doing very good for my plants. I also have boosted the amount of nutrients I usually give, so the plants are just looking amazing right now! As far as my foliars, I still change them slightly here and there, but for the most part they always are: amaze, pgr, carboload, advance nutrients organic B, yucca extract, cold pressed seaweed. The soil recipe is listed on the very 1st page I believe :)

Hey Calyx Hunter!!! I would say with my girls as squeezed in as they are and bushy... The LED's still penetrate about 1 1/2' into the canopy, maybe slightly farther :) So far I have so say with just 360w, my plants are growing as fast and looking as healthy as they did under 1000w of HID light.... man I am so happy with the results so far, and my power bill is definitely more reasonable as well :)

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

Hey Everyone!!!

Today would make day 20 of flowering and the girls are still growing, shooting out more pistils and the buds are getting larger in size!! The sugar leaves are just starting to get filled up with trichomes and the leaf posture is looking excellent right now :) Couldn't be happier!

I am mixing up their next feeding today which will consist of earthjuice grow, bloom and catalyst, some general organics cal mag and feed :)

Here are the photos for today!

The white blotches you see on the leaves is not powdery mildew...it is residue from my foliar sprays.. :)

I also did a quick update video, my cell phone camera doesn't pick up the detail well under the LED's so I apologize ahead of time.

Good deal. I will replicate the soil and send it off for testing. Thanks a bunch

I would suggest just getting your base soil testing, and then adding to it....much easier to add than to take away with soil. :)
