A much easier and cost effective route is to contact Docbud and use his high brix kit.... all you need is a bale of promix hp and his kit and you will have amazingly healthy plants. Docbud has already done the soil testing, the research, worked with growers and labs and so he has made it very easy for us to grow healthy plants. :) I would suggest that route.

I already did that. I have the kit. I plan on using the kit but I like to know what I am doing too so I will try kit for ease but also follow your method for the learning part. I will test the soil both ways, before and after amendments.

Sweet! I am actually curious how it tests out :) It will be cool to see a similar recipe in the hands of another grower :)

Hey everyone, just a quick update...

Yesterday I gave the girls a foliar spray of amaze, bloomit, cal/mag, cold pressed seaweed, organic b and carboload and today they seem to really have enjoyed the feeding. I also was going to water them today, but the soil is still pretty moist so I am going to hold off for another day or 2 until they need it.

Other than that the girls are looking great and I will be doing some maintenance pruning/cleaning up of lower branches and leaves today.

Hey everyone! OK, so I just got done adjusting my girls around as well as doing a medium lolipopping, removing all of the lower leaves, branches and wanna be buds that never will be anything. The girls were in need of watering much more than I thought earlier so after I was done cleaning/pruning/trimming the girls up slightly, I gave them a feeding of R/O water with no additives since the last feedings were nutrient feedings. My next feeding will be an earth juice feeding.


So I have some somewhat unfortunate news... after looking at my girls the other day I realized that the black cherry cola, and the green candy kush were looking identical. I mean bud formation, leaves, structure of the branches, everything was identical. So I called up the clone place that I got them from and told them they made a mistake and gave me 2 of one of the 2, but I don't know what I have.. So basicallly since I know what kush grows like, I think they gave me 2 black cherry cola's and no green candy kush, and she confirmed that the green candy kush has typical kush leaves, with the 3 leaf formation as well as tall and lanky like OG's should. So she apologised and told me that when I am ready to call them and they will give me the green candy kush for free for the mix up... all and all not a horrible thing, but just dissappointing because I really was looking forward to having green candy kush!! bummer...

Now that I figured that out, I also was taking a close look at my 2 grandaddy purple and my 1 purple dragon. One of my grandaddy purples looks Identical to the purple dragon, and the other grandaddy purple is much larger than the other 2 plants, but all of the leaves look exactly alike. The bud structure on the taller plant looks somewhat different than the 2 shorter plants, so I am thinking they either gave me 3 GDP and no purple dragon, or they mislabled the purple dragon, gdp, and vice versa..now I have to call them back again to figure out what they gave me.. I swear I will never use these people again and go back to my other clone place who I usually use and always has the best genetics and verified as well. oh welll, like I said, not a total loss, but just disappointing that people have a simple task, take a clone, label it, put it with the others, and they can't even get that right... I hate incompetent people and businesses.

Lesson learned, never use Socal Clones!!!! unless you want to play scooby doo and solve the mystery!

Sounds like they(the clone company) is not giving their employees the right strains to smoke during the day. When I smoke the proper strain I get incredibly focused and do not make silly mistakes like that. Maybe they should give their employees better weed? HAHA!

im not seeing any gdp from what i have grown (beans from ken estes co.) so it may be pd is what they gave you, when they get to the end it will be easier to tell, gdp will show its self i have studied it at length being one of my faves, in any case iceman they look healthy and well on the way, perhaps further than any of mine, im afraid i may have had an accidental pollination occur and my whole run may be compromised but at least i know who the daddy is (gdp) i see tell tale signs withered pistils and swollen calyxes , but maybe they will crank up the juice and get fat later, i guess thats what i get for being less than careful, nice update brother:rocker:

That kind of confirms what I was thinking as well. I know GDP's trademark smell, and these just didn't have it, they had a purple smell, but not GDP.... I went to google, and searched for other photos of ken estes GDP and you are right, thinner leaf blades, also the ridges on the edge of the leaf on GDP seem to be more rounded, where mine are more pointy with a little "nipple" type point on them..lol,

So then I looked for purple dragon, couldn't find any photos, but looked at the parents, blue dragon which I have run before x purple urkle. I googled purple urkle and sure enough, many of the leaf traits look similar to what i have, including the pointy nipple ridges, but the structure of the leaf layout looks more like the blue dragon. SO I believe this is what I have 3 of... oh well, I love purple urkle too so not a total loss, but pisses me off because I specifically went to them because they had GDP... I will be calling them back monday... they better make it worth my while..

What day of flowering you at ice? 25? They look fat for so early into flower.

I water when the leaves get slightly droopy now, and usually also check with my soil moisture probe.

Day 23 right now...yeah I was thinking the same thing..they really are packing on weight quite early.. and already some are getting covered in trichomes.. :)

Hey everyone!!! Just a quick photo update! Well I talked to the clone place I got these cuts from and they are going to give me a cut of green candy og for free since they made a mistake, but I don't know if they are going to straiten out the GDP vs Purple dragon issue. The girl at the clone place said that GDP and Purple Dragon look almost identical, but in late flowering one turns almost black and the other is mostly purple..I think she is feeding me bullshit because I can't see how 2 strains with no shared genetics look the same?? coincidence? Either way I may just have her bring me 2 new cuts of purple dragon and gdp anyhow so I can at least see if I notice any differences. Either way I'm happy to have either strain, but it would be nice to know what exactly I am growing... Oh well...

So today would mark day 26 of flowering and the girls are looking great!!! The buds are swelling more by the day and all the plants now are showing heavy trichome development. I have to say wow, the fragerances of them are really getting strong!!! I can't wait until I actually can try them out :)

So not much was done over the past few days to the girls, they don't need water for at least 3 more days so I am just watching them with admiration :)
