Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect
So today's update entry is called "The Unexpected Visitor"
The Veg Tent (budmaster COB)
So I was looking at my veg tent the other day and my plants and noticed that I had 2 seedlings pop up in my pot that my Tangie #6 is potted in. I was pretty stoked to see this, however I am clueless about what strains these are, as about a month ago I dumped about a 1/2lb of my old buds dating back about a year or 2 into my soil to compost. I was going to use the old bud for butter, but I've learned that using old bud for butter, the degradation of THC into CBN really makes the butter turn out with a huge couch lock effect, I mean sleep a whole day or 2 type of couch lock. Even though it is great for pain or someone with insomnia, I didn't like how it would pretty much make me useless for a day or 2 after ingesting the butter, so I dumped all my old bud out into my soil. Therefore the seeds could be tangie, which did seed and I dumped all the trimmings in, but it could also be 1 of many strains that I have grown in the past year or so that maybe popped an unnoticed seed. I probably will keep them for now just to see I can recognize the plants strains by their leafs, however most likely I wont keep them because they are probably high potential for hermies.
Other than that the veg tent is looking good and the plants now are growing fairly well. I gave them another watering of just plain R/O water with epsom salt to help correct any soil issues and the plants have responded well. I still see that they will take some time to really thrive and be healthy again but we are on the right path
The flowering tent (budmaster GOD):
The flowering tent today is on day 38 of flowering, and things are looking very good. Growth has slowed down slightly over the past few days but the plants still are packing on girth and trichomes so I know they are about to hit that stage where they just explode in weight For only using 340W of energy total in this tent, I am pretty impressed with how many buds are of good size at this point, which I was not expecting originally for the low wattage draw. I definitely could use 1 more light to really max out the size of the buds, but for only 340w they are doing extremely well in my garden The buds are forming extremely dense and very very frosty which I love, and I think this harvest should definitly come close if not top my Gram/watt charts so far (hopefully) when all said and done Needless to say the lights are doing a great job so far for the lower wattage and I expect a good finish in the coming month I also gave the girls a heavy feeding/flush the other day to refresh the soil from any buildup of excess nutrients which the plants seemed to really like, and my next feeding will be in 2 days and will be an earthjuice tea.
Yesterday I also removed about a grocery bag worth of leaves, as I did a minor defoliation to help open up the dense canopy allowing more light to reach the lower nodes. I also re positioned many of the branches that have been supercropped to allow for excellent penetration and coverage making sure that all buds were getting good intense light.
