Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spectrum

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Ye i believe when most folk have been growing for awhile we all adjust & change our methods over time creating a style which we can work with.

I use to take clones quite a bit when i first started & a little tip i found some where was to feed the plants with all the essential nutrients macro/micro a couple of days before taking the clones as to give them some food / energy once taken, it kept the clones looking better tho & mildly increased rooting time.

But was wondering if the same idea would work before topping to aid in recovery ? just an idea.

I have not done much cloning over the last couple of years as i moved over to growing with seed standard bush type grows with a little defol in late flowering & perhaps some lst from mid flowering onwards, so many strains need to be experienced :thumb:

All of this going to change shortly if i can get on with NFT tray & hydroponic water based system... Ye i just know i'm gonna be in the tent twice daily checking ppm & ph, lol numptie time again...

Ye looks like ya been flowering for about 3 weeks now Ice from last count & most of the stretch should be done give or take a little... other wise ya be super cropping em shortly to prevent bleaching if so worried !

Always a Beautiful sight Brotha :high-five:

Thanks Brother Cronic!!! Happy Friedday to you!

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Hi ice your girls look stunning as usual , just a quick question , have you ever needed to supercrop the same growth twice mate .
Be safe .

Hey Sonic!

Yeah I've had to supercrop more than 1x, and with my current grow may have to do it again. The OG that I supercropped wanted to grow upwards so bad, it lifted the branches that were bent at 90 degree angles and now they are about 15 degrees from strait upward again..LOL

Yeah I have too done the same when it comes to methods... what works for me the easiest or what provides the best results for my personal garden is what I go with :) So may different ways to grow, and with the endless supply of growing knowledge, it seems one could go nuts trying it all haha :)

I found the same thing that plants when cloned at a very healthy state, also seem to root faster than clones from a unhealthy plant, but I've also found that genetics seem to play into it a lot as well. My black cherry soda seems to root better than all my other plants, I mean I could take a cutting of half brown leaves, mid flowering and root it with nearly 100% success, where as other plants such as my OG's seem to want to take longer to root, with much less success rate. I just recently took some clones but instead of using clonex this time, I used my Aloe vera plant :) we will see how the aloe does :)

I've been curious about the topping while healthy vs topping without and I definitely think that a healthier plant will recover much faster, as all systems will be on top performance. I typically don't mind topping in my veg tent because usually that tent is ready faster than my flowering tent is, so I need to many times stall the vegging plants so they don't get too big before moved over to my flowering tent. LST though is my favorite method, even though very time consuming, it seems to have little to no stress added to the plant. The only thing I don't like about LST is generally my stalks/stems end up being unbalanced since right from early clone the plant is leaned over, seems like my LST plants always needed more support that a topped plant because the topped plants seems to grow more even vertically.

Hydroponics sound fun, I definitely have been curious about doing it before but since I love soil grown so much I just can't see myself switching, but maybe 5 years down the line who knows. :)

Medicated thought of the day... "since the young generation is all about dabs, extracts and wax.... does this bring a new meaning to the term "flower child" " hahaha :)

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Day 20 Flowering update :)

So today I decided to give my girls another foliar spray, probably the last one since the buds are still not full yet, I used 2 parts of my soil mix I also mixed today which was composed of hydrolyzed fish, humic acid, equilibrium (cal/mag) and organic b vitamins. I didn't feed the plants but 2 parts of this mixture went into my foliar sprayer. The other 1/3 was oolong tea. :) lol I'm really wondering more and more about the effects of the methyl jasmonic acid. So I sprayed the girls, and other than that just rotated one of my plants because the tallest bud was too close to the light, so I decided to give her a spin.

Here are today's photos for the flowering tent.

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Today is day ??? for my COB tent... lol I don't track days in veg...

So anyhow all of the plants are starting to show new growth, and I am really letting the soil dry out inbetween waterings to really get those roots stretched. The new leaves look healthy but the older leaves are showing a few different deficiencies what looks to be Mg, K and Ca. I really think I may have overwatered them, or gave them too strong of a feeding and they stunted so progress has been slow the past week. I'm happy to see the new growth and hope that they continue in the healthy direction. I may even give them a good flush once the soil drys out completely with some Mg and r/o water but I will see in about 3-4 days how they look and go from there.

So other than that, the vegging plants also received a nice foliar feeding today, same mixture as above. I figured with the hydrolyzed fish and micronutrients and b vitamins it may help them to recover quicker.

Here are today's photos for the Budmaster COG vegging tent:

Looking stellar as always Ice,

Those are going to be monsters under the GOD. Are they done stretching?

I don't think they are quite done stretching yet. The Tangies last grow kept stretching until week 5 so probably another week or so they might get taller. I supercropped a bunch of them last night so we will see how they react :)

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Lol mine are out of control ICE. I supercropped my tallest branches but all they did was heal and raise back up. I mean some of them were snapped good but they didn't get the hint.

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Just checking in Ice, the plants are looking good. When I super crop with really vigorous strains, I hang various sized fishing weights on the limbs to keep them from trying to return to an upright position. To make them easy to hang, I tie the weight onto a fishing hook, then just hang them where I need them. The hook makes it easy to move the weights around without having to tie and untie strings.

Great little info nug there Bangabong! Would love to see this. Do you have a journal. :circle-of-love:

I actually had the same thing happen, so I supercropped them again, and now they seem to be done trying to raise up. LOL I actually supercropped a bunch of them the other day to really max out my canopy coverage and get better penetration. Probably bent another 15 branches.

Hey Bangabong :) That's a really good idea and I appreciate you sharing that with me :) on my first grow I hung a metal screen (same screen I used in my scrog) above the plants, right under the lights. It made for a nice platform to hang the strings from, many different options :) appreciate the suggestion :)

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Morning Ice, finally all caught up on this one and subbed. As I'm in the market to expand my Led array. I'll be along for the budmaster journey. Im really liking the idea of the modular units and being able to switch panels between cob/god. I have question to ask you as I have added a larger flower tent to my grow.(up from a 3x3 to a4x4x6).

Stay Frosty,
CanEye

AMAZING thread! really well done, man. spent hours flicking through and watching the youtube vids! really informative.

im going to buy the GOD 9 and throw it in a 1.2m x 1.2m tent. ive got a packet of Rare Dankness Scotts OG and a packet of DNA lemon OG Kush which i'll pop. im SO excited! i'll start a diary here, everyone seems pretty cool. thanks for alll the info, look forward to future posts.

all the best! :thumb:

Hey CanEye!

I really dig modular builds too :) After I'm done with these test grows I most likely will be combining the GOD and COB panels into 1, with 2 modules on each panel of each light type :) I think that would be awesome :)

Feel free to ask your questions :)
