Here's the update for October 24th...

Day 37-3.JPG

Lambs Breath Day 37 - 23,000 lux - 18" from light - 3" tall

This Lambs Breath is finally beginning to take off. Two of the side shoots and the main stem are all beginning the vertical climb and several others are almost there. Removed four leaves to help it along.

AK-48 Autoflower Day 4/37 - 27,000 lux - 15" from light - 15.25" tall

Lots of bud sites starting to show. Tucked a few big fan leaves out of the way for light penetration but I will not be doing much if any training as I want this chopped asap!

Looking good

Thanks! I'm wondering what the best practice is with the 120w light? As you can see I'm in late veg with these autoflowers. I have the driver at around 80% and about 18" from plants. Would it be better for me to have the light up higher at 100% and reduce dimmer if necessary as they grow into it?

Crank it up and leave it at about 18 inches. As it begins flowering, lower the light to about 16 inches and then gradually down to about 12 inches over a week or two based on the plants response.

I raised the light about 2.5" as the LB was starting to look a little stressed and the AK is getting taller. Gave each plant 6 litres of water with 5g/gn Megacrop. I diluted that by half so 2.5g/gn for the solo cups, about 20ml (4 teaspoons!) so not much but I've seen other people feed Megacrop this early so let's see!

Excellent! That's what I'll do. I should mention for anyone else reading that this light runs very cool. It adds at most 2 degrees, that is the difference between lights on and lights off. I'm very pleased with this light. Can't complain about the customer support either! :)

Great to hear. We designed it specifically for small grows. It puts off far less heat than our other kits.

Thanks again for your business . We greatly appreciate it! As always, any questions or concerns just ask.

Howdy folks, here's the update for October 26...

Day 39-2.JPG

Lambs Breath Autoflower Day 39 - 26,000 lux - 20" from light - 3.75" tall

As advised I cranked the light to full power increasing the lux by 5,500 according to my light meter. It isn't really designed for LED light but it gives me useful comparisons. Also, the two side branches that were growing vertical were long enough that I could tie them down exposing three more nice shoots which should make it to the canopy. Pretty wild for an autoflower. This has kept her from flowering, I think, and I'm hoping to get another week in veg from her which is exciting. Kinda blows my hopes for getting this chopped before December 15 though. That scrubber system better work!

Day 39.JPG

AK-48 Autoflower Day 6/39 - 32,000 lux - 17" from light - 16.5" tall

Both plants responded well to their feeding yesterday and seem to have responded well to the increase in light.

Looking really good :ganjamon:

Between you and the Dutchman doing all this training, now I feel like I need to up my personal grow game and start hitting it harder.

Thank you, I've learned most of the little I know from Dutchman's excellent tutorials. One day later and that Lambs Breath is almost out of control with foliage, not new stuff just bigger stuff.

Update for October 27...

Day 40.JPG

Lambs Breath Autoflower Day 40 - 26,000 lux - 20" from light - 3.75" tall

I tightened the ties on the two side shoots and the main stem. It's messy and seems undefined but I don't want to defoliate just yet as I think those little leaves provide the energy for the shoots to grow. In a couple of days I think the structure will be more apparent again. In the meantime I will have to keep adding to the horizontal growth until it flowers and I have to stop this nonsense. Speaking of which, last night I caught whiffs of that wonderful Lambs Breath smell. A sure sign that flowers are imminent.

Day 40-1.JPG

AK-48 Autoflower Day 7/40 - 33,500 lux - 15" from light - 18.25" tall

She loves the light and her diet of Megacrop. She grew another 1.75" overnight and I expect her, by the way she looks now, to grow another 8 or 9 inches which would put her at about 6" from the light. I can also raise the light maybe another 6". But I've never grown under this light before so I don't know what to expect.

Not much change, third node is developing in both. I'm getting impatient to set up the veg tent. If the Vivosun model isn't here tomorrow I'll be ordering a different model on Tuesday.

Lambs Breath Autoflower Day 41 - 37,000 lux - 16" from light - 3.75" tall

Day 41-2.JPG

Lambs Breath Autoflower Day 41 - Pre-flower has started. I will no longer be tying her down and the restraints will come off shortly. Raised the plant by 4" to increase light intensity. According to my light meter the lux increased by 11,000. This seems like a lot but we'll give it a day or so to respond.

Roots are growing from the bottom of the cup with both plants.

The Vivosun tent from "CCbike" is still not here so today I am re-ordering, this time directly from Vivosun on Amazon (which I thought I was doing last time). The 24"x24"x48" is $20 more than the one I ordered but delivery is guaranteed by tomorrow at 9:00pm.

After reading additional comments on where to place the fan/carbon filter I have decided to move them out of the tent. I have ducting arriving tomorrow that I'll seal coming out of one of the vents and attaching it to the fan...

Looks great! The only concern on the filter outside the tent is flow. Just need to make sure you have enough CFM along with no leaks in the tubing. Air will travel the path of least resistance.

I did a diy pail design a few years ago. Worked well. Just make sure you have it sealed good. Mine wasnt and stunk the whole house up. It smelled good to me!

Yes, those fans are designed to best ‘pull’ rather than ‘push’ the air. Here’s a DIY link ... aha, I went over to catch the link for you, Hutch and I see you found it.
:high-five: Great minds, etc

Do you think I'd be better off moving the fan/filter back into the tent, sitting on the floor the way it was with the ducting blowing the air out the top vent.

That is an awesome design. I actually read that thread before I moved them out of the tent thinking I was doing something similar minus the diy filter and the muffler. I thought you were "pushing" the air through your filter, I'll have to re-read and see how you did it.

Any suggestion as to what my best approach should be?
