How To Make Concentrated Cannabis Oil

That happens a lot Brother (asking for info). Folks want info asap if not sooner. Understandably so; but most that rush to quickly make mistakes. Very discouraging to have to see people who want to heal themselves have to go through basically 'hell' to find correct intel, flowers, solvent, ect.

Scan every 2 months.
I'm sorry but I can't send the file from this stupid phone.
Gonna have to wait.
Oh! Sorry Canna! Wasn't paying attention. The dosing file was originally
for a new guy that never got back w/ us. I keep thinking about him & how he wanted this, but disappeared.?

Canna- I believe Motoco & I agree that the chart wouldn't be much help.
Have you read his comments on tacking on the gums, waiting 15 mins & then taking additional/optional dosage?
If you are feeling euphoria (especially a lot), try Motoco's tacking.
Think of it as a "warm up" prior to the full work out. Less side effects with a pre-dose warm up.

I have hung out here all night again reading and reading. Learning more all the time. There is so much to learn especially since I have never grown before. I started my first plants on their 12/12 cycle 1 week ago. Yeah!!!!

One quick question about cooking the oil. Do you add a couple drops of water in the rice cooker towards the end?? Sorry if I missed that.

Good luck cannafan. Here's to hoping your new strain kicks in fast and works better for you.

another question for Motoco and whoever else has used an oven for the decarb process. Was the oven electric or gas?? After thinking about using my oven next time, which will be in a day or so, I am now thinking that the oven might not be the safest because I have gas one. (propane to be exact). When the electronic flame kicks on I am afraid it could ignite any everclear fumes that are evaporating from the oil.

And 1 more question I just remembered. What is the reason for freezing the flowers and grain alcohol?? Is this just to give a few minutes longer for the quick rinse or does it serve another purpose as well??

Have a great day everyone

Thanks fghtsmallcell. :)

My oven is electric and I make use of the stove hood fan that vents outside too.

I do not smoke in the house. I do not have open flame anywhere near my kitchen and I do not have people in my house when I am making my oil. I used to have propane appliances here, and if I still had them I would not do this in the oven. My concern would be the same as yours.
In my own home with my electric oven, this is a method that works for me. Other peoples' homes I cannot comment on and I'm not going to suggest that it's safe in any other circumstance besides my own.

I think that's a disclaimer. LOL

Hi fghtsmallcell, I tested with electric and would agree that gas is probably not a safe option. Electric oven isn't even safe if the carrier hasn't been evaporated down by at least 98% first.

I wouldn't decarb in a gas anything. Murphys Law. Electric plate or similar can be cheap an crazy easy to use. I believe Motoco has made a list of equipment earlier on this thread.

Freezing the trichs prior to washing helps break off the trichs & keep intact.
Less chlorophyll. It's also a step in winterizing your process.

Signed, "anyone else".

Hi Cajuncelt, I have been doing the tacking from the start based on the suggestions from 420 Motoco. I am going to start waiting the 15 minutes and taking another tacking dose with today's regimen.

No euphoria, exactly the opposite. I learned last night from Motoco that this is probably caused by my daytime dosage being Indica dominant. I made two batches of oil from different buds/strains. So, I will be switching the daytime dosage to the Sativa dominant batch.

I have been lethargic and sleepy feeling all week long, it was awful. I can't do that when I work a full time job and have to have energy.
Hopefully this corrective action will take care of that.

Ah, the Indica Drag Step. Had it too.

Good morning all. I tack harlequin during the day and an indica at night. I tack my whole dose, a good sized grain of rice, at once and I'm not having any, this is to much, kind of thing. I tack for at least 15 seconds on the initial tack then move on to another part of the gum. Seems to be working. I decarb with a coffee warmer so I can see it happening. Bubbles stop and I'm done. Happy Skunkday all

Great comments and answers all. really warms the heart to see you all sharing knowledge between each other. I

only did oven decarbing to check it out for the knowledge. I actually prefer the double boiler method. Better control in my opinion. The oven decarb seems to be more on the couch lock side.
As for adding drops of water it depends on the carrier. Spirytus for example has water in it, where as 100 percent napfta light does not. RS uses drops of water for the chemical reaction to reduce/burn off the harmful chemicals to unharmful micro amounts (if made correctly).

:bravo:

I'm with Motoco on this, I prefer the double boiler still and my preferred carrier is:

as another testament to the tacking method, I recently had to travel 1300 miles by car and was able to drive half of the trip (two drivers taking turns) with no issues w/o sacrificing any medicine.

:ban::Hookah:So, we're all agreed (which will help in the future too):
1. Tack 1st. No matter what you follow with, tack first. Motoco has researched this & successfully adviced others (thank you again sir)!

2. Decarb the meds. I will be doing the dbl boiler as well. No advice, just how I will continue to do it (& should to), but I digress. Ah, solvent. No response from me unless you PM me. Noob & Motoco will probably agree. You do the research kinda response for/from all on this one?

3. Don't do ANYTHING with gas ever. No matter the openness, wind blowing, solvent used...not for this oil. Jeez, chemo burns enough.

Please add (seriously, like a lot more. Like no shatter, budder, bho, ect.stuff) & we'll get Motoco Miagi to pin a sticky note or whatever somewhere & we'll have at least tackled that?
And, I'll find a way to quit getting naughty notes from the suits. The ban sign & smoking a hookah was supposed to be here. Damn droids

Thank you all for your great responses. You confirmed what I was thinking about the gas oven. I did see the list of appliances and was trying to figure out which one would be easiest as they don't seem to have the temperature knob labeled for easy adjustment of the temp. So I will get the laser thermometer and just try out my coffee warmer again. I have 4 coffee warmers to choice from so I will test them all to see how hot each one gets. I probable will eventually decides on an appliance for the double broiler method but for now I will try to use what I have on hand.

OK. so no need for the few drops of water with the everclear. Thank you again for all the replies.

It took a long time and I stuck to my method going up against many others ways/thoughts of using the concentrate. I kept grinding away, waiting, waiting, waiting and more waiting. Now I can converse with members who see the healing potential taking the concentrate the proper way. It keeps getting better and better. When you can make your oil that is specifically suited for you it will simply amaze you how healthy you feel mentally and physically. Control daytime activity, control your nighttime sleep all while healing glands, organs with no pain. You look forward to each new day with an attitude that previously looked bleak. You control the way you want to live naturally. I cannot say enough about the concentrate; I keep learning and learning more and more and it comes at an accelerated speed. Oh, forgot to add, kills all the nasties in your body.

Canjuncelt, you know better than anyone here; how was your attitude before tacking correctly? Not just mentally, but your physical feeling also digesting the oil?

LOL at your last statement cajuncelt, :) Hi beemerbill, hope all is going well!

Hope you remembered to stretch, lolol. Truck drivers dream, heh, lol.

Some day I will get to try the oil on myself. But right now it is all about my other half. I just cook some more oil tonight and stopped it at peak THC and let it purge. I didn't have to twist my husband's arm to have him smoke some to test for potency. He said it was better than my last batch. The first time I let it cook till bubbles were all gone. Thank you Motoco for those instructions. They are more detailed than any other I have seen. He is still doing good and we have an appt this Wednesday with his oncologist. He has cut back on some meds but not the blood thinner because they check his levels every 2 weeks. I may be able to talk the doc into stopping it himself after the next CT scan which he should have soon. As long as there are no blood clots in his lungs he may consider it. He was hospitalized last Nov for several blood clots in his lungs. Doc said it was the cancer that caused them so if the CT scan is clear maybe he can get off it. I am not ready to talk with the doc about what we are doing as our dispensaries are not open yet. We became legal in January but we are not allowed to grow our own.

Morning fghtsmallcell,

You will need the oil when your done with your hubby.

Congratulations on batch #2! This batch should have a little more UP to it. Let me know if it does plz. You welcome.

Does your hubby know about the appointment with the oncologist? Reason I ask, if not, don't mention it if possible, just causes a lot of anxiety and throw's off the schedule. I've seen people go into severe panic attacks stressing out over their follow up check up. If you can, keep him off topic as much as possible.

In this case I would agree with you about not talking to the doc. Hopefully this will all change in the coming years. They are getting more and more interested about the cannabis oil in Cali, but, in all honesty it will be a very slow process. If you ponder for a bit; how can the medical system make the profit from the concentrate like they make from chemo/radiation? The CT scans alone are 5,000.00 plus (was about 4 yrs ago) and I've seen PET scans come in at about 15,000 depending on your zip-code.. My Father-in-law spent approximate 750,000.00 in co-pay in 2.5 yrs! Most of that was getting CT/PET scans done (his request) sometimes every 2 weeks. The most I've seen a cancer treatment using the concentrate was close to 10,000 (got ripped off at the start for a couple thousand). That is where the issue is going to lay. Four-five years ago blood thinners almost killed me. They forgot to monitor how long the thinners where being administered, got my platelet count down to 5,000, normal is 15,000. As soon as the Doctor says so get off those asap. The standard 'ween off' regimen is used when ready.

How is the husbands appetite been as of late? Is he sleeping better now or about the same? Down the road some pure or as close to pure you will need some Indica for proper sleep. Just reading your post indicates he is improving and when you think back to just a couple of weeks ago it from 'bleak' to 'we're going to live'. Your doing a fantastic job and I know how really hard it is to take care of someone. Your doing what you need to do and believe it or not the hard part is almost over. One more month you should see a huge change coming. By the way, hope he is drinking a lot of water, eating a lot. Keep up the great work, so you will be able to start healing also.
