Re: Horse's Crawlspace Grow.
Ok, I did start the tent. A long shot:
A little closer:
I'm not sure how long this going to stay like this, so everything is just screwed together. 2x4 frame 43"x43" screwed to the floor joists. I tightly cut a piece of 1/2" foil faced foam insulation to keep some heat from going upstairs, and for light blockage. It wasn't tight enough, so I sealed the edges with door and window tape. That worked.
I toe-screwed all the pieces that stuff like lights, fans, ducting are going to hang from. I'm sure I'm going to have to move stuff, this way I can get to everything from the inside, and not compromise the light envelope.
I used aluminum 6" ell flashing for the uprights. I was trying to keep the bulk down. They're a little floppy, but once I attach the scrog frame to 'em, it'll be sturdy enough. The bottom 2x frame just keeps everything together. I held it off the floor 1 1/2" thinking I might get incoming some ventilation there. It's a light leak in some places. I'm gonna try lining that slot w/ something black, ala Papa Green's advice. We'll see?
Anyway. 2" sticky backed velcro every where. Whoa, that's some tenacious adhesion! 12mil reinforced crawl space liner for walls. Takes 2 people to get everything lined up right and tight. Ms Horse was a great helper, not even one fight!
All 4 walls are removable and/or roll-uppable. Takes a little time, but I've got plenty of that. The velcro should loosen up some, I hope, over time.
From the outside:
More to come.
