Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

The City is coming early afternoon tomorrow to change my water meter so I will be installing my MegaLight from NextLight tomorrow after they leave. In anticipation today I hooked up the dimmer they sent me. The folks at NextLight have been incredibly helpful and generous; I just asked a few questions about dimming my MegaLight and they offered to send me a dimmer for free!! After hooking it up today I checked it out and it works beautifully. Looking forward to tomorrow; the ladies have no idea what is waiting for them.

They are going to LOVE it.

The water meter thing was supposed to be happening here this year too but I haven't heard anything since from the city.

I think they will love it too!!! I hadn't heard about the meter replacement till they came by a few weeks ago. I was told with the new one they will be able to record my usage just by driving down the street instead of needing a guy to walk close to every house with a handheld unit.

The guy acted like it was a big benefit to me but I doubt they will be passing on the savings to me in my bill.

The City guy came by today in the early afternoon to change my water meter without incident so I was able to set up my NextLight Mega LED Grow Light today!!! Here she is in all her glory and it is amazing how much light it gives off for only 650W compared to my VIPARSPECTRA at 260W it replaces.

Here are my plants under my new light; my OG Kush on the left fresh from the vegging room and my Dinamed looking all wilty for some reason.

Here is my light with my reflectors set up and I put some foil around the light because it is higher than the reflectors.

And here is the interior with my reflectors up with my plants being bathed in a nice even light. I am keeping it the max distance recommended of 24" with it at about 75% power. I assume it will take some adjusting to dial it in properly. All in all very happy with it and I think my plants will be too. Thanks again NextLight!!! Great light!!!

Switching from blurple to white often causes changes in the plants, from light stress to needing more nutrients (and cal-mag specifically) to make up for the increase in photosynthesis activity in the leaves. I'd dial the wattage back and ramp it up slowly while they get accustomed to it.

Congrats on the harvest Homer, and the NL looks like it's going to be a great producer. Nice training and good structure.

The drooping could be light stress.

Thanks, Penny, I did not know that, but it can't be that because it started overnight before I put it under the new lights or did anything other than its normal routine. It would seem like an under or over water problem but I haven't changed anything from normal there either. Last night it looked fine and this morning it looks like this. Quite frankly I have no idea but hoping if I just leave it, it may straighten itself out?

Thanks for the info about switching lights, Shed; I have dialed them back a little more. You always have some helpful tidbit.

I do have high hopes for my NL. Being a notoriously stout strain I am surprised how long she is between nodes so far. Hope all is well in Cali and in the Shed. :high-five:

Could it be rootbound in its pot?

Perhaps but it is in a five-gallon like all the others I have grown and the rest seemed fine. The fact it happened over night I find weird but also which makes me hope it may bounce back?? Wishful thinking....

Could be root damage also.

Yes but again I would not think it would happen overnight from something like that? I am not disagreeing and you could well be right though. I think I will just do nothing for a day and see if letting it dry out helps because I did water it yesterday when it was healthy. It is a mystery to me the way it happened overnight.

New light looks wicked Homer and I’m sure the ladies will love it!

As Shed had mentioned they may need a little while to get adjusted to the new spectrum and lighting. Starting at a lower wattage won’t hurt and will give them time to acclimate!

Looking good brother

Hope she bounces back.

Thanks for the well wishes for my poor suffering baby but I fear she is terminal... This morning she is looking even more droopy and yellowish. This has been a strange plant from the beginning; first, she started showing signs of nute overfeeding with burned tips but she never got over the recommended 6.2g/gallon then she hardly grew in veg but sprouted in flower stage.

I am thinking these CBD strains are not as stable as high THC strains because CBD was bred out of most strains so the ones with CBD seem kind of unstable. Not sure if that is true but seems my experience. But since she didn't like nutes I have only been giving her 5g/gal which I think may possibly be the problem so I am going to give her a 6.2 feeding. I thought it was overwatering maybe but the soil is drying out nicely and no improvement so my hail Mary is going to be a good feeding but I fear she is done. Kind of sad the first big plant I have lost. :rip:

Thanks, Dutch, the ladies I am sure will love it!! Thanks, I did turn the lights down a bit to let them acclimate. I also ordered an electricity usage monitor from Amazon so I can know exactly what my wattage is so I know how much energy I am using and exactly how much I am adjusting it so I don't chase my tail.

I don't think it's over fertilizing, they wouldn't wilt like that.

I was thinking it was actually under fertilizing because I have been only giving her 5g/gal for a long time because she seemed to burn when I gave her 6.2 for a little while but I doubt that is it.
