Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Lol you might be right there. I think if we let them do their own thing they do much better.
Yes, I am going to let them do their own thing. During the phase of that system where I had the dome at about 60% to 65% humidity, the big cutting looked pretty healthy but I only did that for a couple of days because the directions call for closing it up assuming I had roots which I didn't.

But I think now I will try to keep it in that range or as little humidity as possible and still keep them healthy for as long as it takes. See if that works to wean them off of depending on humidity.

I just give mine enough to keep them green, I’m still waiting for roots on mine.
I'm sorry, I meant to ask you earlier about yours and then forgot. That is my plan too now. Hopefully, we both get roots!

After 22 days since flipping my Chemdawg, it looks like she has finally stopped stretching and not a moment too soon. It actually worked out pretty well because it's about the maximum height it can be. I switched it over to full-spectrum mode because it gets more light that way instead of just the red spectrum which I was using to slow it down. I forget the name of the strain in the background under the MegaLight.

It's a good thing it stopped stretching because it shook off this super cropping from weeks ago to the point it didn't shorten the plant at all and I thoroughly crushed it to try to get it to really lay down but to no avail because she straightened right back up.

For 22 days she is budding up nicely and looks pretty promising.

Looking damn good, did a great job on her.
Thanks, Penny. I've had some pretty good tutors along the way. ;)

So last night being Friday I had about three beers worth of homebrew and along with a good dose of tincture, I forgot to close the dome last night. The one cutting that I took two weeks ago Monday that I put through that system I read about actually fared quite well and looked so healthy I left it outside all day which is a really great sign even though still no signs of roots.

But the three cuttings I took just a couple of days ago were noodle limp; here they are in the background of this photo under the dome still looking pretty limp after spending all day in the dome. As they say, those around the drinker suffer more than the drinker. As I keep saying I only need one to survive but I needed it about a month and a half ago.

I’m baffled mine stay hydrated with no dome but others need a dome. It’s got me scratching my head.
I'm glad you said that because I am equally baffled. Truly bewildering.

Not unless it has to do with the way they start from the get go.
If you mean how the plant is treated from the get-go I guess that is a possibility. But you're pretty familiar with my system and I really don't do anything out of the ordinary? I'm open to suggestions though.

I just stick mine in coco or soil and stick it under an 18w T5 type light. That’s pretty much it
I use a blurple but I keep it quite a distance away with cuttings so I can't see that being much different than an 18w T5 type light but maybe? Other than that your way isn't much different than mine but I need a dome? One for the ages.

I'm running a bit late tonight but I thought I would post a few pics anyway. After spending about a day and a half recovering from the big droop under the dome with it closed for maximum humidity my three fresh cuttings on the right are looking a lot livelier.

The one on the left is the one that's a couple of weeks old and it never drooped but it's starting to look pretty yellowish. I am thinking of feeding it just a little bit of MC like maybe 2 1/2 g per gallon. The instructions I was going by previously said that depriving it of nutes stimulates root growth but I'm afraid the thing isn't going to make it the way it's yellowing so much. This strain just does not want to root but I shall persist.

On the bright side, the second generation Chemdawg that I have been taking my cuttings from was starting to show some leaf damage at 3 g per gallon MC so I upped that to 3.5 g per gallon a week or so ago and she is healthy as can be. The secret with MC for me is to keep it really low and that way if there is a problem I know I need to increase my dosage.

I have destroyed her nice canopy by taking so many cuttings but I think I can get her back in shape for bloom. I took this photo with my light set to veg so it is quite red making it almost impossible to correct in Photoshop so this is the best I could do.

Hope all is well in 420 Land.

When I see yellow on mine I start checking for roots.

Ok, cool. I will not add any nutes and hopefully, I will start seeing roots soon. :headbanger:
