hey GMT, do you see hermies pop up by fucked up light cycles? I'm trying to see if it's worth salvaging this one plant. It's a beautiful plant, growing almost the best of the 4 and I noticed last night along with the hairs, there are balls at id say 60% of the bud sites.. I'm thinking it's from pulling the plants in and out of the room every day and possible light leaks or small periods of light from someone being down there for a couple of minutes.. It's the only plant thats throwing balls, but I couldn't stop thinking about it last night to the point i had a hard time sleeping.
This morning I changed the light to 12/12 and pulled that plant out of the room.. I'm thinking I should just chop it down as I don't want to chance ruining the rest of my crop (although some seeds of this strain would be nice, I really don't want seeded weed this time around.)
Anyway, coming back to my question, the reason I ask is because the balls are in early development.. Have you noticed any plants that show hermie balls in the first couple of weeks into flower, and then when everything is fine tuned and they're no longer stressed, as it should be with the lights, do they go away, or will the plant still push out balls? I wouldn't mind picking all of these off if there was a chance I could still get a good plant out of it. I'm just glad my clones weren't from that plant lol
The sad thing is, I have the 4 clones which I think are rooted (at least 3 of them seem to be) and 6 new seedlings which are on their 4th node.. Changing the light to 12/12 means these wont get much of a veg time.. I really wish I had that T5 now, but what can you do? I'd rather have 3 solid plants than a bunch of seeded weed. Live and learn.. Out of all the 8 plants I grew from this strain, this is the only one that showed any male traits, so I can't complain too much I guess lol.
Yep, we had the same problem bro. Some of our plants seemed to be very intolerant to light leaks and interuptions. We had 2 of our medical 1024's hermie on us and pollinate the other plants. Buds with seeds are a big turn-off. The medicine is still there, but we were not able to command top dollar. I would pull her and salvage what I could brother. We had a friend who had clones of ours, and his medical 1024 hermied as well. He wad able to save the buds, but had to harvest her early.
Hey K2 thats what I'm getting too,man me and you are like on the same plane
of existance here ya know. The yummer I got now has more tris than any other plant ,by far,but I wanted to ask something.I think that the sour cream

interesting theory, although I've never paid that close attention to it. I'll have to check it out next time I germ some seeds.I snapped these yesterday morning and it shows how well Zena is making a comeback, along with the babies. I had a new seed break soil, so I included a shot of the new baby.
I was reading a post where that one person claimed about 90 percent success rate sexing germinated seeds...they claimed that female plants opened at the top, bottom, or sides of the seed, I forget which, while males came out the other way...do you know if there's anything to this claim? I forget where I read it.
