I checked on the hermie today, its getting pretty trichome covered, so i think the darkness is really helping it pump out as much potency as possible.

I'm probably going to use most of this plant for edibles anyway, so I'm not too concerned.

Keep us updated on how this goes...Im looking to do something with my clippings...any ideas on what goods your gonna cook up?

me and the lady are always baking stuff, so who knows.. I'm just going to be making oil though, but we make regular brownies usually once a week, so I'm sure there will a lot of brownies in our future lol

yeah the oil seems much easier to make rather than butter, plus the oil won't go bad, and we use it more anyway.

hell yeah dude, what you think of the tape? I gave it a couple runs through and it's pretty solid.. I'm not too impressed, but it isn't bad. I don't know what happened, Flight school was bomb, POTC 1 & 2 were epic too.

Ladies are doing great, they're really starting to stink. they have 10 more days until I stop with the nutes, then on the 1st I'm going to take a test branch from each plant and see how they smoke.. Final harvest date will be determined by that.

So, 17 more days till harvest stage 1. I'm not thinking they will be ready by then, but the 9th is 8 weeks total flowering time, so it should be close.

Depending on how small the new seedlings are when I harvest, I might throw the MH on them and veg them for another month.. I'll have enough smoke to last a good while, and I want to LST this batch to see what LST and HID can produce with good genetics. I think I might use the MH for the last 2 weeks of flower. I've read a lot of places that it really helps them frost up.. Since they have already put on most of their weight, yield won't really be affected, but potency will increase because the plant already knows the end is near.

yeah I forgot to mention Star Power, that tape was super hard. I'm with you though, can't get too much into the new stuff though. Good call on the voice though, I thought I was the only one who noticed a difference. That dude smokes hella amounts of weed.

I'm going to cut one test branch a week early, that will help gauge how long to let them go for. Then I will harvest from the top down over the course of 3-5 days depending on if the smaller buds actually increase in size or not.. If they're just sitting in limbo, i'll just chop them all close together.

I have 2 hermie branches drying right now, the buds are pretty small, but I'm hoping it dries in the next couple of days so I can roll a blunt and see how it smokes. The quick dried test I had over the weekend was definitely decent, even though it was super wet. That plant is still chillin in the dark. I have noticed that the main cola is getting very frosty. It's going into panic mode. I'm thinking Friday I will chop it and prep it for drying. I'll be out of weed then anyway lol. It's hard to make a cut last for a week let alone longer.

Yeah Tunes, there is such a difference growing with HID, I can't even begin to express how much better it is. Not to mention I actually used nutes the whole way through, and good soil. The combo of all of that makes this bagseed very happy.

Last night i trimmed up the 2 hermie branches I cut and gave them a test.. I got maybe 3-5 grams from it, which is more than I thought I would get from that little amount. I tried rolling a joint but i guess it wasn't dry enough in some spots and wouldnt stay lit, so we just packed it into a few bowls.. After one bowl I was a bit stoned, maybe 40%. After the second, I was pretty much indica-annihilated haha. I haven't smoked indica in SO long so it was very nice, and I slept amazingly. I'm very impressed with how this plant smokes since it was only flowering for 4 weeks. Today was day 5 for it in the dark, so I chopped the top half of the plant down and hung it to dry. Tonight I'll do some trimming on it and get the branches prepped for a good dry. The side branches I chopped were the lowest branches, so I'm excited to see what the crystal packed top smokes like. For immature buds, the stone lasted a good hour, which was very surprising. Normally with immature buds, it last like 30 mins or so. All in all, it's some great hold-me-over smoke.

Good idea with the two or three stage harvest (one for the test)

I did that with one of my last plants, I have a realy speedy high and a more mellow buzz from the same plant. My triches were about 80% milky and 20% clear when I harvested the first half, by the way it was a scrog so there was no top buds..

The second half I harvested a week later and had 80% milky and 20% amber, still a little get up n go high but not like drinking 3 cups of coffee and getting nervous.

I let my last plant go 40% amber and I fall asleep way too fast on that one.

Buds look great by tyhe way, and looking forward to your outcome.

yeah harvesting in stages helps with tolerance too, kinda the same effect whenever you switch strains. I trimmed up the remaining bud from the top of the hermie and hung it up to dry. There isn't too much there, but hey it's better than nothing. Last night we smoked a blunt of it and I was feeling great. Definitely will hold me over until I can harvest the rest. I have one bud left from my last bag. I think that will last me until this stuff dries and then it's smooth sailing.

I accidentally left the lights on yesterday and didn't realize it until it was time for the lights to come on and I walk into a brightly lit grow room. I gave them a good watering and turned the lights off a few hours later. I'll just leave it off until it's time to come on tonight, as they can use the extended darkness. Things are coming along really well though, the plants are starting to really mature and strain themselves to make their buds bigger. I expect to see a decent amount of weight in the next week or so.

I know how it feels when you realize your lighting schedule has been accidentally altered...I did the same thing you are, lights off until next regular lights on cycle, so far so good and that was at least 7-10 days ago.
