Herbies Desserts to Sweeten Your Day @ Otters

Glad to see no rot you have what 2 or 3 weeks to go. I have 21/2 weeks, and I should be really close. Lets hope for good weather. :green_heart: 🍋
Muffy has one week + maybe some. Betty is another thing! I'm thinking Betty's going to want the entire season wherever that brings us. Fortunately I see some improvement in how she's making bud but she's going long.
Thanks for the look inside Stone. Fascinating and Informing! :)
The inside story. She's all perimeter!
Weed tree with an inertance AB Ain't no beauty but she got height and Buds !! Oh a little wide too LOL That Runtz Muffin is one nice looking plant ! Frosty Baby :green_heart:And why you think AB has yellow leaves at the top ? Have a good day Stone ! :passitleft:
Been pondering that yellow upper. I got nothing but she's either hungry and I can't feed her enough for her size with my feed, or that's the way an Apple betty finishes. @Bill284 might shed some light on that. How'd yours finish Bill? Did leaves go yellow early up top?

Hey buddy :ciao:
My apologies for failing behind in your thread.
Your girls are amazing.
I had some fading just prior to harvest.
You seem to be having a issue a little early.
Are you feeding Remo?
Here is Apple Betty just before chop.

She's awesome Bill! Thanks for the help! Something's up, not too big i think. They're both getting Geoflora for a LOS grow. A couple things I can think of. I don't do anything to amend the soil from year to year outdoors. Just let the roots compost and turn it over next season with Geoflora. There could be some things missing, like perlite, minerals and such. I could be over watering. I don't know, been adding worm castings, fish hydrolysate, microbes, bokashi.
I could do better for next season maybe and amend the soil before winter hits.

Buds started to push a few days ago, must be the second push because I see some browning pistils today. FINALLY! Today's day 44 of flower.

Thanks Bill! Yes you did at my brother in laws grow I showed. I'll feed her every week in stead of every two weeks. Just did two or three days ago, I'll give it another go at halftime. It's LOS or bust :p . She might be plain hungry. She was brixing 13.5 when it was going on so general health seemed ok. I haven't had a good enough day to try it this week and it doesn't look like I'll see real sun for weeks.

We need at least 2 but 4 more weeks of sun would help.
No more rainy damp days.
Double her feed till harvest she will be a star :thumb:
Nice work Stone :high-five:

Highya SO,

I'm a bit late, but I wanted to say how good Big Apple Betty looks with the fat bushy buds everywhere. Tops look like they're flopping. I was thinking about the soil. Do you have a little ph test kit, litmus paper? Or, you could try 2 soil samples, one add vinegar, one add sodium bicarb. If sodium bicarb fizzes, means ph is low. If vinegar fizzes, ph is high. I only say this because I have been amending with organics for years. Must've drifted. Anyways, I hope you get it sorted out! I know you will!! Happy Smokin'

SATURDAY NIGHT'S ALRIGHT FOR SCHMOKIN!

Hi all! It's a good day to grow weed! Partial sun today, I'll take it!

Starting with @Herbies Seeds Apple Betty. She's making some nice buds now. Going to need the full season to mature but I think making it will happen! She got fish water today, Yum! Shtarting to have a nice smell! What Herbies says is apple I think. Ok let's have a look.

Apple Betty

I can't leave out the one leaving first.
Runtz Muffin in her purpleness! A week to ten days is todays feel.

On the bud rot front. I'm testing reliance on Beauveria Bassiana for 2 things. One, for bug prevention. I'd say it works great for what bugs I have here. Two, Bud rot. Killing those moth worms and such before they becomr=e a problem was my thought and today I can't say if it didn't work. Not yet. Muffy has been very rot free with one small nug. Betty on the other hand started today with three or four spots two of which had the little B's in them alive and pooping oh the slightest. it's too early to say but that's the rot score to date.
Awesome! Keep it up! 🔝

Thanks! Could have happened. I'll put that on the list. First I may have been over watering. I'll cut out a happy birthday to two. . The other plant wanted more water so I gave both but this one wasn't calling for it. Then there's the feed. It's so big I don't know if the regular amount is right. Doubling up for the last feed or two may do something. The other plant being treated the same is growing without this issue.

POWDERY MILDEW ON THE HORIZON UPDATE

Good Monday all! Yesterday afternoon I got an eyefull of Powdery Mildew on a couple of low branches on Runtz Muffin. I'm lucky to have read and bookmarked @InTheShed 's so easy and well studied by him ,Tutorial for ridding PM.
No pics outside but here's everything needed. 1.5 ml Canola oil, 2 drops of Doc Bronners, in a half liter of distilled water whipped up in a blender. Ready to spray! Thanks Shed!

Looks good Stone I have to mix up some canola oil a little later today. I just checked my plants, and they are wet from the morning dew. Hopefully they will dry off shortly. I am not liking the wet leaves in the morning, but it is better than rain. The sun is going to come out today at least that is what the weather man says. :circle-of-love: 🍋

We have sun right now! It'll be in and out this week. YAY! Just checked the affected leaves and flowers I sprayed yesterday and the stuff seems to have removed a lot of it over night!

Here's Muffy

SOIL UPDATE

Ok now this soil is getting a spa treatment! Gave it a cover of an electric throw @ 100 watts. I have to keep resetting the time every 8 hours but that's fine. Soil's been hanging at around 80F. After 2 weeks I'll scoop the soil into the empty barrel and get the warmed side on the bottom and the bottom up to warm for two. That should give it a nice start so I can then mix up the second barrel.

Highya SO,

Does the heat help the soil microbes flourish? I've never seen/heard of that. Can't argue with your success!! Sunny here. Climbed the stepladder to check the tops of the ladies. Found about 6-7 bud rot places (on seven ladies). Nip it in the bud!! Hope you have a nice week! Happy Smokin'

Post football weekend catch-up!
My BIL is growing his heart out right now! He's using one of our sponsors Remo Nutrients and they look great! The 4 closest to us are Banana something and two in the rear are Purple Ghost Candy. 38 days from flip. It smells wonderful in there!
They're looking a lot better than last time! Has he adjusted the feeding schedule or has he just not hit the week 5 full everything mix yet?
Apple Betty
Looking good but moving a little slowly for MA. :nervous-guy:
Runtz Muffin in her purpleness!
Sorry to pick a fave but the purple is regal!
That's cord tied to rags tied to themselves.
I remember that from last year and it's brilliant. :welldone:

I only tried it with unscented but since it's just a few drops I don't think the peppermint will make any difference.
I am not liking the wet leaves in the morning, but it is better than rain.
For rot dew is probably better but PM spores are actually washed off by rain, so it's a pick your poison sitch. :)

Noice, and the earlier you catch it the easier it is to take care of. I think every 3-4 days should do ya.
