Hempy Headquarters

Rite now all im giving my clones is cal-mag ro water ph to 5.5

How long have they been rooted? I start feeding mine as soon as I pot them up, beginning at 1/4 strength and increasing at each watering by 1/4 (i.e. 1/2, 3/4, then full strength). They need food Jones. When do you plan to start feeding them?

I did a major transplant yesterday. My CBD Critical Cure trains best in a pot with enough surface area to spread her out. She wasn't looking controllable in a 6" diameter pot, so I dropped her into one that was more shallow and wider.

To make her fit I had to basically tear her roots apart.

She looked a little rough by the time I was done.

Today you wouldn't know it happened, to look at her. She bounced right back to growing like a weed. :laughtwo:

Yesterday, I pulled a plant out of an ebb and flow tray and had to cut the net pot around the roots. I planted it in a hempy pot along with the plastic pieces of the net pot and that sucker didn't even wilt or anything. If only I could transplant my soil plants to hempy as easily.

It's the very back one.

I'm a little behind in this thread. Got distracted. I'll catch up in a few Jones. :hugs: Massive hempies you have going there. :high-five:

I'm at the local Big Lots. Stopped to pick up one more pot and they don't have any, after I cleaned them out last month. :laughtwo: No way of knowing when corporate'll see fit to send more. So much for aesthetics. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The white can is what I came for, but in black. The blue bucket holds one quart less than the trash can.

This light seeping through will present a challenge. I figure one layer of duck tape will do. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_265218.JPG

The can is $6. The bucket wins, hands down, at $2. Pretty sure it won't take $4 worth of duck tape. Makes the thrifty Scot in my DNA rediculously happy. :slide:

This is,potentially, the last pot I'll need, excepting expendable starter pots, which I'm also planning to replace with reusable ones.

Isn't this fun? :laughtwo: Grow cannabis long enough and everything becomes repurposed for garden use. Lol!

I had all the hempy girls out of the tent this morning so I could move my big girls around for a feeding. The comparison grow is neck and neck and stretch is nearing the end. All that's left will be bud development. The hempies are fed Osmocote + and the soil girl likely will be brought in with Budswel.

Blue Dream from S1 seeds and topped once. One in hempy and one in 1 gallon plastic pot using my soil. These were both born on August 1 and are flip + 20.

Then I grouped all the hempies together. The BD above joined by clones from it's parent.

High Jones. I'm thinking you have little experience in growing. I think you mentioned Roots Organics as your nutrient and I'll let you know that most nutrient companies have their feeding schedules on their web sites. Roots Organics is apparently made by Aurora Innovations and you can find all of their schedules on their site which I linked for you here.

You should make sure that Roots Organics can be used in hydro.

Based on the schedule you are behind. Based on the looks of your seedlings, you are behind. I'd give them something soon.

Hey guys i was wondering if when I make up a batch of cal-mag water if i have left over can it sit and still be good 2 or 3 days later or do I need a fresh batch

I hope so my nutes are weeks old ! I just keep them in a cool dark dry location. Hope I'm not making a mistake with this either. Sue? Help!

I make it a practice to mix up only what I'll need and never keep leftover around. It just never felt like a safe option for me, and I recall Tead saying once that this is his practice as well.

Oh yea i didnt even think about when I start more nutes oh yea better ask a master ok sue gotta question 4 ya lol my remo nutes still havnt arrived so im guna have to order more but for now will be starting with roots organic bottle nutes when they are ready but yea i will pot pics ina little bit they are really starting to take off all except one lol one of them is still those 2 fat lil round ones when it first pops above ground lol but it's so dark and nice i hope its jus a late bloomer and will be a nice one n if not its ok oh and my 100% success rate has faltered now one of them i pulled cuz she was dieing so all but one has made it so far but germing n getting them to pop is still 100% and all my clones are doing amazing those are really starting to take off new branches and leaves everywhere man this is guna be fun not at first since I jus got out of surgery yesterday on my knee and all the xtra walking around and watering/phing everything thts a pain but after a week r so n im heald up it will be back to havn fun lol

Hope the healing is going well. :hugs: A good topical would go a long way for your healing.

Wow Jim, I'm impressed with the performance of the Budswel in that one gallon pot. :battingeyelashes: They're equally easy to take care of, aren't they?

Yes very little experience this is my first year ever growing anything and this whole time has been learning to grow using a los mix and that was a kit so pretty much jus water and go lol this is really for the most part my first time doing hydro n yes the nutes say I can use them for soil less growing and continous liquid feeding and the reason I'm having an issue understanding is it jus says for seedlings and cuttings but I dnt know when exactly to start like a week after I plant a clone or when?? And seedlings some say I shudnt be using anything other then water till they get established but im not exactly sure when that is is that when they have like 2 or 3 nodes?? But yea 2day i gave my clones there first nute feeding of roots trinity bio catalyst, and roots buddha grow, also added in some cal-mag then set ph to 5.5 and then for my seedlings i did normal ro water ph 5.5 but ur saying I should start nutes on my seedlings so shud i also be adding cal-mag to them as well then also would they be fine for another day or 2 with the plain ro and wen I would do the next feeding give them nutes and cal-mag??? Thanx man for the help i apparently really need it lol

So here's the deal. You should add cal-mag to RO water if you have or if you anticipate a calcium or a magnesium deficiency. RO water strips essential chemical elements from tap or spring water as I understand it.

I use tap water that is de-chlorinated by just sitting out overnight. Let's just call it being frugal.

So yes...add the cal-mag to RO water or a nutrient mix using RO water if you expect or see a deficiency.

As for when to begin feeding. A plant from seed has a germ which provides all it needs to get it's head out of the ground and a few days of growth. If it's grown in soil from your own mixture or from a bag it likely has some nutrients already so that many growers will say delay feeding seed grown plants. I agree here as my soil could probably sustain growth from seed to flower but I still feed my plants.

Perlite has virtually nothing in the way of nutrients that plants need. You have 2 choices. Feed the plant or watch it die. I'm not comfortable with watching things or people die.

So let's see if we can get your seedlings fed with some of that bat guano and kelp stuff you have there.

Thanx man well then ill feed my seedlings when I get back home in bout 20 min lol so now that I'm using nutes on my seedlings im guna use the same lineup i jus did for my clones 2day i did about a 1/4 of the recommended dosing then every 10 to 15 days r so ill up it by a quarter till I'm at a full dose u think that's a good plan??

Yep. I learned to grow things from my mom. When it came to feeding her houseplants she would remind me that less is more.

Good idea to start any feeding at lower the recommended dose then bumping it up.

Sweet thanx man for the info n help gettn my girls to make it specially my devils carnival cuz it's so hard to get tht strain since no1 can just go buy it yet and if one of them turns out 2 be a photo then I hope to clone it so I can keep it in my arsenal n the 1 is starting to look alil rough and thats the one I'm pretty sure is a photo period but yea i had a quick question bout transplanting or uppotting how do i know wen to switch to a bigger hempy pot cause with my soil girls i just put them into there final 5gal. Pot from a 1gal. Tht i start them in but these hempy cups r smaller so idk if i can keep them in there a month month ana half or can i?

Besides taking up less floor space are there benefits to the plant itself from starting in small pots as opposed to the final large pot?

idk if it true or not but i feel like i end up with a bigger root mass when i transplant from smaller pots up to the final size but i used to let them get root bound almost b4 i wud transplant n i would do like 2 transplants threw out there life i would start in a 1 gallon then to a 2.5 gal. roughly then into the final home a 5gal. home depot bucket i converted to a grow bucket now idk if its just me seeing the root mass more from tranplanting them so i jus think there is more even tho there mite actually not be  but yea now that i have been going to the final home sooner ive been noticing i dont get a full bucket of roots at harvest like the whole bottom half of the bucket is just a few roots and mostly soil so idk if transplanting more often produces more roots or if its a trick of the mind but thats my 2cents worth lol

HEMPIRE UPDATE QUESTION: can i use this in my hempy grow i just noticed i had this bottle full i got it when i was going to do hydro but went with a los mix instead but now im doing hempy and could use it if it will be a benifit to add to my roots organic nute line then i would like to do so so it dont turn out to be a waste of money lol but yea its liquid seaweed from maxicrop 0-0-1

20170927_112446.jpg

This is my first hempy run and I don't plan on up canning anything. I just don't have enough room in my bloom tent right now. They'll just have to live with what they have. For that seaweed which is just K, you shouldn't need that until mid flower. Yours need a balanced grow formula that has N, P and K.
K thanx this is the type of info I need like at what points in its life does the plants use more blah blah watever it is ya no that way i can giv it what it needs when it needs it instead of what ive been doing and thats growing in a los mix n then using a organic nute pack that has everything in it n i just brew up a batch of that and and then do my ACT watering but now im using no soil so gotta figure out what to use/add on my own and well with every1 here plus ill be able to use up my bottle nutes n i had that seaweed stuff already so figured mite as well ask n see what I cud do and yea my remo nutes i ordered online still never showed up so now my next check will be goin towards restocking a few items for my ipm and then ordering the dam remo nutes again but this time I'm guna get nature's candy as well as the micro, grow, an bloom plus i already have astro flower so that should be a decent start with the remo stuff atleast enuf to see which does better remo nutes or roots organic cant wait to which is better lol so far with my soil nutes from a sponsor from here mighty grow organic the one plant i did do it on i am even doing a sponsored grow or well was but the sponsor jus quit getting back 2 all 3 of us so i jus said fuk it and started doing my own thing and adjusting the ammounts better and rite away almost lol my kali mist started boomin she is a beast now all frosty white and SSTTIIIIICKY AS HELL LOL definitely wanted to get some more of there product for some of my soil girls well any of them that I don't start in my los kit that is lol but the company site to order from wasn't working and no1 from there got back to me either so im jus guna keep with what I got use it up and then just straight hempy style grows and my los mix from here on out so wish me luck every1 hope this all works out 4 me haha

K so here is my newest addition to the hempire a purple kush clone in a 2liter but this one is done all bit differently I finally found a use for my giant clippings  take a look at my newest family member lol

20170928_193251.jpg

Also I was wondering if I cud use this or would it not be a good idea I figured since it had silica in it it would be a good idea but I can't read the label since it's worn off and I haven't had the time to look it up online but it's protekt from dyna gro

OK so I'd y but my last post was suppose 2 have this pic attached to it and was wondering if I cud add it 2 my hempire feeding nutes

Hmmm.... That's a soil amendment Jones, and I'm not sure it'd be of use in a hydro. I honestly don't know. Does it say on the bottle anywhere that it can be used with hydro?

Yes it does say some thing about it but the ratio of how much to use is rubbed off from use lol but it does say it can be in hydro i believe I just havnt had the time to look it up online
