Hempy Headquarters

Maybe I was looking at the wrong calculator, but I read topping out at 4.5g/gal for veg and going up to 6g/gal at the end of bloom.

In any case, it shook last long enough for me to tell if it’s working.

I also don’t push nutes as hard as I propably could. :)

Hiya Tead!
In case you were interested, I ran your 10g/gal through my calculator and got the following (assuming you received the 9-6-17 formula, which no longer exists on their site):

227ppm N
68 P
372 K :oops::oops:
148 Ca
61 Mg
50 S

The combined CaMg content qualifies as hard water, even if NOLA had soft water. All I can say is that it’s a damn good thing you grow in hempy!
:passitleft:

My current Colombian Gold plants are requiring more of the Mega Crop then any previous plants. I upped their feeding to 6.5 grams per gallon with a PH of 6.5 ……….this is in Pro Mix BX. If I increase the Mega Crop to 6.6 the leaf tips just barely start to curl and if it's not reduced to 6.5 the teensie tips will burn.

Hmmmmm....
Now you have me pondering things.
I have a filter on the water supply and have been previously seeing PPMs under 10 on the source water.
I know I've tested the mix water with a pen... tho I can't recall the numbers.
I can't help but wonder what magic is in play to make the green girls go... but go they do.
When I add up your numbers, I get into the 900's. Micro-nute bits add some more, but I would imagine all in all that it's under 1000ppm. This total is not one I'm surprised to see and what I would expect to see in a pure hydro grow.
Am I off track here somewhere?

What I was getting at was that a sustained dose like this in soil would go south fast (pardon the expression). But you can do it in hempy. The salt levels just can’t build up when you add fresh solution every 2-3 days.

Once again, Tead misses the main point. I believe in grade school they referred to it as being "Reading comprehension challenged".
Oh gawd no you'd not do this in dirt. Flushing man. Really puts you into the same arena as the active hydro folks sans the tubes.

What size is your tent DV-travis? They've filled it nicely and look good and healthy.

Looking good Buck! 10 little ladies, right?
:yummy:
I started with 10 regular seed. One had an ugly structure and than threw male flowers about a week or so ago.I culled that one out so now there is 9. Three of them have shown female pre-flowers. The goal is 4 to 6 females this run. These are 2 different crosses that I am testing. There now is 4 BlueRipper (Blueberry x Jack the Ripper) and 5 Sunny D OG (Tangerine Power x Gogi OG). One BlueRipper has shown female and two Sunny D has shown female pre-flowers. Both these crosses have been grown out by others and shown to be stable. But the testing pool has been limited.

Hi y'all i had a couple of questions I was wondering if you could help me with. When I started my hempy I don't think I was asking the correct questions or the information merely escaped me.
I have started reading this thread. I think I'm about 75 pages in. I intend to read the rest, however I need a few answers sooner rather than later.

I believe that I was overwatering my plant. I thought you were supposed to feed everyday from sprout to harvest. How much should I really be watering? I haven't given any nutes for a couple of days now and she is praying. So I think I'm getting a better picture.
I should clarify that she is in a 1/2 gallon container. She did fine in her solo until she was rootbound.

It was insanely cold here for the past week. My tent temps have stabilized now but it slowed down growth between the cold and too much water. She did get some damage though. I am trying to figure out if it is a potassium deficiency or damage from the abuse from my inexperience at watering hempy. She still has purpleing along some of her leaves, but she has started looking better since it has been warming up.

I will be switching from Fox farms soil trio to mega crop which should be here today. I don't now the starting ppms of my tap water. I do have hard water, my pH is 8.2 coming out. I have numerous rust and calcium deposits on fish tanks, clothing etc. I think that it may be the reason for some of my probelms. I will try it with the mega crop though as I have no way to get ro today.
Anyway I suppose I should post a pic of them. I think the big one needs mgs04 and has tip damage. The little girl looks ok yet.

Please let me know what you think. I was also wondering if I should flush before I change nutrient lines?
And finally, what pJ should I be entertaining? I have been pHing to 5.8.

Thank you for your consideration. #420forever

Howdy! Welcome along.

i had a couple of questions

Don't we all.

I was wondering if you could help me

Probably not, but it sure won't stop us from trying.

I'm about 75 pages in

Glutton for punishment ehh?

I believe that I was overwatering my plant.

I see you're in pure perl. Really, you just can't overwater unless your hole is plugged.

I should clarify that she is in a 1/2 gallon container.

Small... not surprised one bit that you water daily. As pot sizes go up, the watering frequency drops. I have 5gals that dry out totally at 5 days, but I water them on a 4 day cycle.

I have been pHing to 5.8.

Seems good. Your spots are coming from a Mag def. Rust spots like that are an easy give away. I see no mention of CalMag addition in your words. I've never see a perlite grow that doesn't need CalMag.
Cold and humidity fluctuations cause everyone issues this time of year.
They look good by the way. Mag issue, but still good. Plenty of time left in veg to shake off the minor issues.
