Man it was a real bitch finding this Forum' took me 20 mins to find it...
Butcher its all good' yes I am old here @ 420' (( But )) I am crustie but Trustee and I can grow some good fu*king cannabis and take sweet pics but I am not hear for that yet...
I just want to bull shit with people that grow with compact fluorescent lighting...
I want to change my lighting all of it and I don't want to fuckup. lots of time on the line and plants too and I like to bull shit with people like you and Heavyherb...
Heavyherb plants look good for CFL grow and I like his pics too. I just dont know if CFL will work for me...

How much snow you get Heavyherb..? We got 18" here ...

WOW, good grief we only got about 2 inches or so here. I live pretty close to palmer, you must be out near the glacier. The light panels i have are the t-5 tubes with grow and bloom tubes in them and they dont give off very much heat at all, I really like them and they seem to do a pretty good job. They cost me about $200 each at Kaylas imports in wasilla. I was thinking of getting a couple of CFLs for the veg room tho, they only cost about $20 each :cool:
 
i wish i only had 2 inches of snow we got about 18 inches as well. Hope your feeling better heavy and i think im going to sell my led's and go with the t5's the led's are to hard on the eyes i walk out of my grow room and every thing looks green for a long time. Cant wait to see more of the girls how are they doing ?

:cheertwo:Yeah a nice blast of bloom ferts will definetly pack a punch at this time in flowering.:cheertwo: I like to give mine a nice dosage toward the later stages as well. The last feeding before flushing, Hit them hard. If you know what they can handle, then up it to their max. Again though, thats the last feeding before flowering and assuming you know what the ppm/E.C are on a meter. Or the old school way is to just slowly work them up til they show signs of burn.:rollit:

:ganjamon: Another thing that will help with trich production is upping the amount of carbs given to your plants. The photosythesis process gets set on overdrive toward the end of your plants life. When this stage hits, the plant will need as many sugars/carbs it can get. At the end of a plants life cycle it sends a message to its flowers : "This is it all or nothing catch pollen and make seeds or else its time to die".This is when they make that push at the end and fatten up the heads on the trichs. Stacking your sugars/carbs helps give the plant that extra push to produce fatter trich heads. This is in my experience, and will always suggest this to people. You dont have to do this . Just something I'd like to pass along. I double my carbs the last 2 weeks prior to flushing. I've done comp grows w/ strains using this method and it works time and time again.:ganjamon:
 
I used them in my veg area for the past 3 months and damn they work pretty damn good in my opinion.
I used 3 42 watt cfls on 12 plants for that time and they are just under 4 feet at the moment...lol..I used them cause my ballast burnt out, and end up like them. I really thought they would keep there height down, but didn't happen. Well kinda. I know they would have been bigger with my M.H, but damn never thought they would get that big that fast.. what kinda set up you shootin for?

Hey no problem, I really enjoy reading everyones posts and advice......I was really sick again yesterday and doing a little better today. I will take some more pics soon. :smokin: the color of this guy says it all....kinda how I feel LOL
oh almost forgot, I have been giving them ferts every watering, both open sesame and cha ching the full dose recomended on the bottle can.
 
wow i wonder what your electric bill will be like MV.....my wife just got our electric bill and it doubled! Also what seed bank do you use? ive never heard of those strains.

Those sound like some crazy strains.Black death just sounds unbelievable. Alcapulco Gold, ahh the CLASSICS. When my dad was alive I grew that strain out just so he could see it again and try it before he passed. I was growwing thia stick when he did. LOL..He got me all hyped up on the Old Classic Strains. GREAT CHOICES

"OH NO HONEY WE'RE GOING TO GET THIS BILL DOWN" I just laughed and continued on..LOL..Years later At least I can say I won that round. And thats the only one I cared about winning. She can have all the others, just leave me and my garden alone..:ganjamon:
