Don’t worry too much. If it is an immature seeds it’s not doing any harm. The buds and trichs look great. Nanners are very often sterile anyway so not always much of a concern. Try to pluck or pry it out and you will know. :Namaste:

So far you have one vote for and one against... both mine. :hmmmm:
:laughtwo: Thanks Mr. S, you’re really clearing things up for me here!

An immature seed, as in it got seeded or fertilized by another plant that has nanners?

Yeah - i dont know about that part :hmmmm: just saying what it looks like from here. I edited my post after you saw it I think. MAybe try picking it out to see what it is. Nanners come off pretty easy when you pick them. Tweezers work but that thing is still inside the bract, and that’s what makes me think its a seed. Nanners emerge and protrude out of teh bract form a very young age (as in the 2nd pic i added to my pots). I pulled over 100 of the bugger off that plant - didn’t cause any probs. I remember stein one immature seed close to the end but Ive never come across in all the toking I’ve done off that bud :)

Ok, thanks Amy. I’ll check it again when the lights come back on. I’m planning to harvest her tomorrow probably, be she ready or not. There seemed like quite a few of those little things in my photos. If they are immature seeds, should I try to pull them off as I’m harvesting? Or will they just smoke along with the buds without issue?
(Sigh) oh Sneaky B, you are such a sneaky little B. :eye-roll:

Is it still the recommendation to go 24 hours in the dark before harvest? Or just after lights on? Maybe I’ll just chop her tonight and end her misery. Am I being rash? I’ve been full of angst all day, so I could use some voice(s) of reason. :Namaste:

Yeah - no need to pull them if that’s what they are. I’m curious to go back and look again now. Are the others visible in the pics too?
I don’t think so, I just happened across the ones I took pics of, and then I started really looking. There was several all around the plant, and they all looked just like that. I’ll give all of them a good look over for any bananas that might’ve pollinated. I haven’t seen any powder, or burst pollen, if that means anything.

It looks to me like a fresh new budlet forming. Or the beginnings of a seed forming.

I vote against nanner too. They generally stick out like a sore thumb. LoL

Just keep an eye on her. Pluck with tweezers if you see any appear.

Even if they are nanners then you really have nothing to worry about because you are chopping in the next couple days right? I don't think they are either but if they are they'll likely just have empty sacs. It takes a while for seeds to form in those sacs.

On another note, I found a seed in my Double Berry. So far it's the lone soldier but plants want to reproduce and they will do anything they can to try to pop off a seed here and there. I know there has been no pollen in my tent. I've been told that a plant can still throw up a seed or two as a last ditch effort to reproduce. Not sure 100% why that is but it's happened to a few of my plants over the years. I'll find one, maybe two seeds tops.

The last pictures you posted I see streaks of ambers and I think she is almost perfectly ready to be pulled when you originally planned. Seeds don't form overnight so cutting it down a day or two early really won't have any effect on the matter.

Whew! Thank you all (especially you Sauga ;)) - for the voices of reason. A touch of a rough day (for no particular reason) over here today. My plants are the easiest thing for me to obsess about, so I appreciate it all of you!!:love: Mr. Hybrid bought some 1:1 CBD flower from the dispensary, so maybe that will help calm the nerves?

I’ll hold off chopping until tomorrow at least. What is the latest opinions about a dark period before harvesting? I’ve heard 24 hours, I’ve heard just after first light, does it even matter?
I’m going to try keeping her on the stem to dry slower. I’ve been having such trouble with too fast of drying. Maybe a big box to hang her whole?

I hang my plants whole and they take 5-6 days to dry. CBD will definitely help calm the nerves. I have a 1:1 CBD Blue Dream and I love that stuff, especially with my recent stress/anxiety/panic attack issues. I have also never done the 24 hour dark thing. I think @Dutchman1990 did it as an experiment with his grow but I'm not sure I read an answer. I personally don't think it matter. I do try to chop it down before lights go on though just so she doesn't think she is going to live another day.

I just smoked a bit and I do feel better. I also feel better because you guys reassured me about the non-nanners too, so double relief. It’s my first time really using CBD except one other time. My MIL is a major CBD advocate and when they were visiting last, I got a little too stoned. We were about to go out, so I told her and she gave me a couple puffs of her cbd pen and it really did help! I don’t know why I waited so long to try it. Mr. H deals with a lot of pain and he said he likes it too! Makes me pretty excited, I should be getting some cbd seeds tomorrow. They’ll be going into the rotation ASAP!

Your correct Ase I did do the test on my 2 critical+2.0 plants this round. One I put into 72hrs of darkness the other I harvested at first light(12hrs of darkness). The results are in after I sampled them today and I’ll be posting it in my journal but I can tell you I noticed nothing at all that would make an extended dark period worth doing!

IMHO @Heavenly Hybrid if you chopped at first light tomorrow you would be perfect! I think it’s got just enough ambers and on the topic of the dark period ..... I have chosen to never do it again! I didn’t find it worth while at all and just extended my wait to harvest my meds

Beautiful Dutch! Lol, I just asked about it on your thread! :laughtwo: Great to know, and thank you for testing it out for us all! I’ll plan on tomorrow at first light (that’s about 5pm PST). :yummy:

No problem! I’ll answer in both places! Can’t have to much good information!

This is my darkness test from where it started in my journal:
12hrs / 72hrs of darkness
