This morning I went to check the big top and Sneaky B has overnight, developed some brown splotches and veins. I would venture to guess that it’s from her being so badly beaten up to start and then giving her just molasses water? If it’s something else, maybe I should just go ahead and harvest? Advice please? Poor thing
Yeah, yeah. I have circumstances that make it necessary.
I know. LoLYeah, yeah. I have circumstances that make it necessary.
P!I know. LoL
Just giving you shit.
What are the tricomes lookin' like?
Yeah, I agree with Ase on this one...P!
I took some pics in the sun yesterday. I think they’re ready whenever. I was planning to harvest in a couple days when Mr. H can keep an eye on our little beasties (aka - kids). I just don’t want to do damage by waiting, since it has like no reserves in her leaves.
Thank you Ase! I think I was too eager and started to flush a little too early. She keeps yo-yo-ing between looking more amber hairs and then some new white ones pop out. As long as it isn’t something like rot or equally bad, I’ll keep her going a few more days. Bleck, she’s gonna be so ugly! Poor abused baby.Flushing causes the plant to lock out and use up things already in it's leaves to survive. It is kind of the whole point so when you chop there isn't a ton of nutrients just sitting in all the leaves and stems. As long as the buds themselves aren't having issues, the fan leaves are doing pretty much what they should be when you cut the nutrients. With that being said it looks like she could have gone longer and there are a lot of white hairs. If you had to get her down quicker because of circumstances then the leaves will degrade a lot faster. It's because the plant is still hungry and wanting to grow a bit and now there is nothing left to feed on but it's own leaves. If the plant was ready then this deterioration would happen at a much slower rate. Either way you were going to pull them in 3-4 more days right? I'd just let them go and stick to your plan. Unless tomorrow you come back and they are incredible worse and the buds themselves are having issues, it should effect anything in the end with the timeline you are on.
While you can definitely not flush and have great results, Newty was a strong proponent of this and then she went to school and learned from professionals that you should indeed flush with molasses and water. Whatever works for you best I like to say!
Thanks for the advice @Asesino85 and @Preston9mm. I only gave her one plain water, should I go back to nutes for a little longer or just stay the course?Yeah, I agree with Ase on this one...
If the buds aren't in jeopardy, let her keep growing.
She may look beat up at the end, but she will finish. For sure.
The last weeks are critical to good, hard nugs and heavy yields.
Sometimes the abuse and stress leads to some really good smoke. It's kind of like the kid being picked on in school and then at the reunion that same kid is a bodybuilder and would kick everyone's butt. We are all a product of our experiences whether good or bad. Stress if handled properly can really make the plant produce a ton of trichs and be very good quality even though that seems like backwards logic. Plus look at all you've learned with this girl. She's finishing so you'll have your own homegrown stuff and you've had the chance to learn and become a better grower!Thank you Ase! I think I was too eager and started to flush a little too early. She keeps yo-yo-ing between looking more amber hairs and then some new white ones pop out. As long as it isn’t something like rot or equally bad, I’ll keep her going a few more days. Bleck, she’s gonna be so ugly! Poor abused baby.
Okay, I will. Thanks again for the advice guys! I’ll make sure I wait longer (practice being patient) for the other girls. Also to answer your recent post... Just stay the course at this point.
I have circumstances that make it necessary.
That only works with mobile nutrients. The immobile nutrients need to be sourced from the roots. Calcium and iron are immobile. Feed your plants, they're starving. The leaves use photosynthesis to create the sugars that feed the buds. Brown leaves don't do photosynthesis. And the plant can't use the sugar in molasses at all. There are some micronutrients in molasses but the reason to use molasses is to feed the microherd in organic media. It is kind of the whole point so when you chop there isn't a ton of nutrients just sitting in all the leaves and stems.
What happened to this Shed!? ^^Nah, I don't get upset! You do whatever you like. As long as you know the science, you're making informed choices.
You’ll just need to trust me that I need to make the buds as clean as I possibly can, even if it means I don’t get the biggest harvest possible.
It remains. I just want the rest of the information to be posted here too .What happened to this Shed!? ^^
I do trust you! But I don't know what is unclean about buds from a plant that isn't flushed. You’ll just need to trust me that I need to make the buds as clean as I possibly can, even if it means I don’t get the biggest harvest possible.
This beaver was too eager.I’d agree with you to let things go longer next time. “If you think it’s ready, wait a week” is the adage you always see written and posted all over the place.
