Heavenly Hybrid 2nd Grow: Blackberry Kush, Coco Grow, LED450

The leaves may not look perfect but the bud does! I like to think of the leaves as a storage safety net (amongst other things). You may have used some of the safety net but everything looks great really. Also I noticed the coco looks wetter now too ;). IMO that's what it should look like! You can let it dry out every once and a while but I think you'll see some good results with keeping it wetter.
Thanks Ase! :) Lol, yes I’m following your advice, but now my humidity is through the roof! I’ll find the happy medium so I can get these ladies finished out and then I’ll really get it dialed in for the next round. I’ll be doing some more research on coco and autos while I’m waiting for these girls to finish up too. :nomo::nomo::nomo:

My humidity is usually higher then what people suggest. As long as there is good airflow there shouldn't be a problem.

Do you use a fan for air extraction with a carbon filter? What is your humidity at?

Yes, I have a 4” intake and a 6” exhaust with a carbon filter, cranked to highest power. I also have a mini oscillating fan pointed down towards the base of the pots (fabric) and I just brought in a bigger 12” oscillating fan to go across the buds/plants., so I think airflow is as optimal as I can get it. Humidity at lights out was up to 68, but I opened up the garage door a crack, and now it’s down to 59. Lights will come back on and it should come down to (I’m hoping) about 50 at that point (I hope, hope, hope!)

Nothing to worry about at all. That's where mine is most of flower.

Good to hear! Mold/rot seems like the worst after all the work a grower puts in, to lose a big chunk right at the end - heartbreak!

Things are coming along in the Big Top! I’m thinking Sneaky B will be ready in the next 5-7 days, so I’ll probably start giving her just molasses water and start her flush (don’t be upset Shed ;) I have circumstances that make it essential). In my concern for the higher RH I’ve been having, I pruned some leaves off of Bubblegum #2, she was a leafy lady, so I’m glad for the increased air flow.

There’s a little something making its way out of the middle, so I haven’t completely given up hope. But I’m also not feeling very optimistic, so I dropped another Banana Kush seed! :party:Whoop!

I also made some OG Kush oil with the MB machine (I love it Shed!) and oil is so much easier than butter! I went looking for recipes that just use oil and after much searching, I found a Giada recipe that looked good. So I made some mini olive oil muffins - they taste better than they sound, I promise! Looks like Mr. Hybrid stole one before work today :laughtwo:

Makes 48 minis or 12 regular muffins
Recipe:
1 3/4 all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
Zest of 1 large orange
Zest of 1 large lemon
2 Tbs balsamic vinegar
2 Tbs whole milk
3/4 cup (6oz) extra-virgin olive oil (I used 3 oz. infused olive oil and 3 oz. evoo to get the dosage where I wanted it)
2/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted (I used chopped and it’s fine)
Powdered sugar for sifting

Preheat oven to 350°F (I did convection bake 325). Place paper liners in muffin tin.

Blend flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat together sugar, eggs, and zests until pale and fluffy (about 3 mins). Beat in vinegar and milk. Gradually beat in the oil. Add flour mixture and stir until just combined. Crush the almonds with your hands as you add them to the batter and stir until mixed. Fill the muffin tin almost to the top of the paper liners. Bake until golden on top and a tester comes out with moist crumbs attached. For full sized muffins - 20-25 mins. For mini muffins - 13 mins.
Transfer to a wire rack to cool for 10 mins. Move muffins to a platter and dust with powdered sugar. (I only sugared a handful of mine).

They are pretty tasty and are ~9.75mg per muffin. Perfect for after dinner to help me sleep through the night. I ate batter as I baked and then only ate half of one, so I’ll have a true tester tonight. Zzzz

That’s all for the activity around here!
Happy Gardening and Happy Baking! :ciao:

! Looks like Mr. Hybrid stole one before work today :laughtwo:
 I hope he made it through the day!

Looking great Heavenly. I’m envious of your Autos. I haven’t managed to get that much off any yet. I dont think i have enough light for them outside - and I think the synthetic nutes seem to make things go harder, grow harder, maybe. I know folks do it with organics - just maybe harder to get the size so quickly. Like Ase said, they look great in the bud building department. :slide:

You are so very kind Amy  I’ve been using some General Organics nutes (GO box)! I was worried because GWE said it couldn’t be used in coco, but I was already mid grow! It worried me, so I went to GO website and it said it was ok. I think I’ll agree with GO on this one! :laughtwo:
I’ll wait and see how they turn out in the weights, oh my how I stunted them, I’m super curious to see how they turn out when I try again.
The technique I was trying to follow was a “no-training” technique. I certainly didn’t stick to the no-training part, cause I tied them all over the place. But here’s the pic and info I had to go off of. Lol, not quite what mine look like at all, eh?!

The link once led to a full grow journal with pics, but it’s broken now or something and I couldn’t find it. I had to go off my memory of reading it once and this photo...

After all the trouble we had in the middle few weeks, I’d say the genetics are pretty impressive and the credit goes to them for sure.

Forgive me, I am going on and on. I must have some muffin-induced-rambles!

:thumb: That’s a slightly more extreme version of what i like to do to any photoperiods growing outside that I dont want to top (like the Candida this year). I lean them back, away from the angle of the sun, to open up all the lower growth. I’ll try something more like this next time i try Autos i think. I definitley went too hard too soon with my LST on them this year.

If only there was a place to learn the perfect way to LST a plant...
Check this link out Shed... pretty good.

Ah, yes. I believe my plants have been mentioned there a time or two. :laughtwo:

C'mon Banana Kush! #maximumeffort
I love the mutants!!!
The Alaskan Purples are our lovable mutants.
Lol - I got one with not enough leaves and one with too many! It’s funny because a couple of the other guys have some twins going too. I’m the only one with a no-filling sprout so far.
