Hey all! I’ve been away for a while, so I better give some update! Starting with the bloom tent because, let’s face it, that one is the most interesting!
Critical mass, my beautiful perfect square. I could almost play tic tac toe on those tops.
bud growth
one more, because she’s just so regal.
Blood orange sorbet
Baby buds
Apparently I forgot to take a picture of gelato, but here’s her lovely buds.
You may notice the yellowing fans on her. I waited too long to address the depleting soil. I pulled a dozen completely yellowed fans from her, so I can monitor how she’d doing a little better.
So far, I have added a top layer of natures living soil concentrate, BUT it was old and smelled like ammonia. I remembered it smelling bad, but I didn’t remember ot smelling like that. So I bought a new bag. For the next watering, I made a tea with the concentrate. And just yesterday I watered with a product called instant cow (manure).
The next watering, I plan to use the worm castings I just got, in a tea. I’m hoping I can get it sorted out, so I can address the others before they start yellowing, since they will all run out of juice before the end.
I did the math to figure out how far along they each are.
Gelato was first, she is at nearly 6 weeks.
Critical mass followed 11 days later and is at just over 4 weeks.
Blood orange sorbet is the baby, at just shy of 3 weeks.
I’ll check breeder estimates for how long they bloom. They’re not usually very accurate, but I’ll at least have an idea for how long.
That’s all for the bloom tent progress. I’ll follow up with the veg tent soon. I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying some summer (for those of you on the northern hemisphere). Sending you all lots of loves!
