I think your plants look great, HH despite the yellowing. Shed recommended magnesium nitrate for my yellowing leaves but I'm feeding mine MC and I don't think you are, right?

And, besides that, you're almost at the end. Think of the yellowing leaves as the easy path to a nice and easy trim down the road.

But, speaking of notifications, I currently have 493 notifications, down from 734 yesterday. I've just been going through my watched threads instead of looking at the notifications so I have no idea if I was tagged anywhere not in my watched threads.

Thanks HG, I’m thinkin exactly what you just said - they’re near the end and I need to keep them just healthy enough to finish (somewhat) properly. I’m off MC now and trying my hand at super soil, so we’ll see how it goes.

I don’t know if you saw the earlier posts with Shed, but there’s a box in your settings called “persistent alerts enabled”. For some reason they changed all of our default to on, so if you want all those notifications to go away, just uncheck that box in your settings. It was too intense for me, so I’m real glad to have it back to what I’m used to!

Shed recommended magnesium nitrate for my yellowing leaves but I'm feeding mine MC

The magnesium nitrate recommendation is specifically for flowering plants on 5.5g MC that are showing signs of early yellowing on the lowers. It keeps you from having to bump everything else in MC just to get some nitrogen, because MC contains a lot of K and Ca that can create problems as you chase an N deficiency.

The magnesium nitrate corrects MC's Ca/Mg ratio and adds the N the plants are asking for.

Thanks, HH. Yes, I did see that and have now turned off my persistent notifications and this morning, I reviewed the 600+ notifications I hadn't looked at yet so any new alerts should be fewer, I hope.

Hey there grow buddies. Things are progressing in the 4x4 bloomer tent, so I thought I’d better get on and have some update.

Over the last week, the leaf yellowing is going crazy. This morning, critical mass has had some massive leaf die off on her lowers. Both gelato and critical mass have slowed their drinking so the end is near. I cut a tester bud off of gelato last week and scoped that piece. It had a good amount of clears, so I figured I’d just wait and check again later. Well, later came today, and I wish I had checked more than that one piece because I see a ton of ambers now! I went ahead and got a few pics of critical mass trichs too while I was at it. I narrowed it down to 10 pics, because I’m lazy for uploading.

These pics are from the top most buds, I’m hoping things will be less amber down below. I smoked last week’s tester bud today and it seems like it’s got some real potential. Hopefully I didn’t wreck it letting her go too long.

Critical mass trichs

I will definitely be chopping Gelato OG in a few days. I would chop her immediately based on those pics, but we’re going out of town on Sunday. I’ll chop her on Saturday, (maybe Friday night) and let her dry while we’re gone. From the looks of it, critical mass may be getting the axe when we get back, which will mean one more week for her.

Blood orange sorbet is almost two weeks behind critical mass (flip-wise), so I’ll be checking her trichs out after we get back.

The next chapter will begin after we get back in town. I’ll be dropping some new beans, so I’ll put up the list for voting and we’ll do this up proper like.

Thanks Shed, you’re right on that. This will be my most amber harvest yet! I think I’ll check the trichs some more before I chop, just for my own benchmark of ambers.

Not too shabby. I thought I was running the lights at half power, but turns out it was less than that even. One of these years I’ll plan it right and not flower through summer.
I’m guessing/hoping 2 1/2 oz.

One down, two to go! OG kush will be moving into the bloom tent soon and then, seed dropping time!
