HashGirl Implements A Perpetual Grow

You sure have a lot going on!

I sure do. It doesn't help that life has gotten busier and will continue to get busier as the weather warms up. I still need to figure out which strains to have Felonious grow outside this year. I've decided to stop growing indicas for the most part. I still have some I think might work for me like the Blueberry. I grew 2 indicas in addition to the Blueberry that I don't have a lot of interest in, i.e. Northern Soul and Chronic x Northern Lights. I'm going to only grow indicas that have the terpenes I favour and are more than 30% sativa as I do like the 40/60 strains like GSC.

If you think the citric acid is too strong try going half strength with it. I never rinse mine off.

I thought you had told me to rinse it off because the light would cause the acid to burn the leaves so that's why I've been rinsing. If I don't have to rinse, that's fine by me. One less step.

The veggers and sprouts look great. Why are the sprouts planted so low in the cups? It means the light has to practically sit on the rim.

They're not that low. They're about 1/2 inch from the rim.

*** VEG2 UPDATE ***
Technically, these plants should be under Flower1 since they have all started to flower but they're all between 30 and 60 days in age, which is the VEG2 range so I'm posting them now.

This week's news includes:

  • Cleo and Pippa were both uppotted to 1-gallon pots on April 6 at Day 27.
  • Cleo and Pippa were both topped on April 7 at Day 28.
  • Clem and Piper were both uppotted to 3-gallon pots on April 13 at Day 11 of Flower.
  • Cleo grew the tallest this week by 3.5 inches.
  • Clem grew the widest this week by 5 inches.
  • Both Cleo and Pippa have started flowering so they're obviously autoflowers, too.
Without further ado, here are the pics:

*** FLOWER1 UPDATE ***

Good afternoon.

The only major update with the Flower1 girls is that all of them have exploded in height and width with Mel at the tallest and Chrissy as the widest.

You are so organized with this grow HG. Even with the autos issue it seems things are going smoother than before. I like Chrissie (and I love Cheeses). She's in beautiful shape, with lots of bud sites. You have a stunning tentful.

*** FLOWER2 UPDATE ***

Good afternoon. After a super busy but excellent weekend, it's time to get back to business.

The only news about the Flower2 girls is that they're shrinking and aren't drinking as much. Here are this week's pics:

Do you ever measure your lux/par/ppfd at the tops for your plants? I recall you had a problem with the Photone app (I did too) but a lux meter isn't that expensive (my Dr Meter LX1330B is still under $35...here anyway, and there are cheaper models as well), and might give you a better idea as to whether you are maximizing your lighting.

I think Felonious has a lux meter. I'll have to ask him.

And, yes, you're correct that the Photone app didn't work for me.

Lighting isn't something I really understand yet. I read @Carmen Ray 's light tutorial and my eyes glazed over the way they tend to when I don't understand something.

You don't need a light tutorial unless it's something you want to learn about.
That's like saying I don't need to know how the soil works, just that it does, or the water and nutes :cheesygrinsmiley: I'd like to understand why the new lights I will be using are different from the one I was using and how that is beneficial. I like to know how things work. For me that requires starting at the beginning and working my way towards the whole picture. If I miss a step in the logic I will lose my place. Hence the tutorial @ brainiac

I was talking to HG ;) and qualified it with "unless it's something you want to learn about."

I don't think learning about lux, PAR, PPFD, lenses, nanometers, and color temp are the same as learning about water, soil, and nutes. If you already have the lights, lower them (and/or turn them up) until you see light stress and then cut back a bit.

You don't need a light tutorial unless it's something you want to learn about. The basic idea is to lower the lights daily until you see light stress on the leaves, and then back them up to where they were the day before.

And remember that flowering plants need more light because a. they're in flower and b. because they're only getting light 12 hours/day.

If I don't need to learn about lighting, why would I need a lux meter? I have the lights set up as per the @Mars Hydro specs:

Recommended dimming level

Precondition: hanging distance at 12’’-18’’

Germination: 30%; Seedling: 50%-75%; Veg: 75%-100%; Flower: 100%

However, I just found this info on the Mars Hydro website:
  • Hang your LED grow lights between 20" - 30" above seedlings.
  • As your plants reach vegetative growth, move your LEDs down to about 18".
  • To improve production, try lowering LEDs to 16" during flowering.
  • Dimmer Settings: Germination: 30%; Seedling: 50%-75%; Veg: 75%-100%; Flower: 100%
So, I'll have to check the heights tomorrow as the lights are out until 1 a.m.

If I don't need to learn about lighting, why would I need a lux meter?
I don't think I said you need to learn about lighting, and I don't remember saying you needed a lux meter. I said that using one "might give you a better idea as to whether you are maximizing your lighting." Strictly following the manufacturer's wide ranging recommendations might not be what's best in your tent with your plants.

My actual recommendation was this:
lower the lights daily until you see light stress on the leaves, and then back them up to where they were the day before.

To improve production, try lowering LEDs to 16" during flowering.
That's probably the best Mars can do to prevent folks for blaming them for burned tops! My suggestion is to lower the LEDs until you see the plant react negatively, be that 18", 16", 12" or even less. That's what @West Hippie does and he runs his as close as he can without light stress:

*** VEG1 UPDATE (APRIL 14 TO MAY 1) ***
Good afternoon.

The VEG1 update is huge since I have 5 extra plants due to the seed mix-up. I also have 3 new seeds planted on April 18 to report on. The 4th seed planted was another Fruit Punch auto but once again, it failed to germinate.
First up, I'll introduce the newest strains. These strains were put into water on April 18 and will be going outside once the weather has warmed up.

CINDERELLA 99, FAST VERSION (1 seed)

Primary Terpenes:Caryophyllene, Myrcene, Limonene
Genotype:Photoperiod
Phenotype:Sativa-Dominant (90/10)
Breeder:Canuk Seeds
Genetics:C99 x Shiva Skunk
Projected Flowering Time:42 to 49 days
Projected Yield:600g/sq. met.
THC %:24
CBD %:<1

What are Cinderella 99 fast version cannabis seeds?
Cinderella 99 fast version seeds' crops are almost identical to their feminized equivalent but with shorter life cycles. These sativa-dominant marijuana plants flower 1–2 weeks quicker, enabling faster harvests of tropical-scented buds.

There's no need to worry about identifying genders and segregating crops with these fast feminized seeds. You're 99% guaranteed female cannabis plants that produce generous yields of thick, luscious flowers—laden with THC.

The 17–20% THC levels make this exotic-flavored weed an ideal treat for experienced marijuana users. The CBD content is low at 0.5%, but it still contains a wealth of terpenes and effects to improve your quality of life.

Cinderella 99 fast version seeds grow into stunning marijuana plants with emerald-green leaves changing to yellow as they mature. These crops are short, dense, and bushy, similar to most indica variants, with huge colas blanketed under a layer of trichomes.

The pistils showcase burnt amber colors, signaling that harvest time is approaching, and the flowers emit strong, sweet, and fruity scents. Cinderella 99 fast version's cannabis has also inherited most of its predecessor's traits, including the energizing and psychoactive effects.

What are the effects of Cinderella 99 fast version?
The marijuana from Cinderella 99 fast version seeds is ideal for consumption during the daytime. It takes 15 minutes to kick in after the first toke. Try to resist the temptation to light up more of this wake 'n bake cannabis because it hits hard when the cerebral effects arrive.

First, an electrifying jolt of energy surges through your body, compelling you to become productive and indulge in some outdoor activities. A euphoric shockwave greets you, immediately elevating your mood while all negative emotions retreat into the shadows.

This newfound mental clarity enhances your focus and concentration as you reach a higher state of consciousness. Use artistic and musical mediums to satisfy your passionate, creative soul.

The mellow happiness stirring inside you becomes more profound, soaring to phenomenal heights. Cinderella 99 fast version seeds' cannabis also enables you to see the funny side of life, making you giggle and laugh at even the most insignificant joke.

Soon, the energizing cerebral effects fade, and the magical indica surfaces, easing tense muscles and relaxing every bone in your physical being. A mellow wave sweeps over your mind and body, allowing you to bask in a calming sea of tranquility.

The weed from Cinderella 99 fast version seeds won't overwhelm unless you fail to resist savoring its fruity sweetness. Overconsumption may lead to small bouts of paranoia and heightened anxiety, but veteran users will be able to sail smoothly with this one.

Expect minor inconveniences like red eyes and a parched throat when smoking. Treat these annoyances by using an optic spray to freshen your peepers and keep hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.

What does Cinderella 99 fast version smell like?
Cinderella 99 fast version seeds' flowers contain some of the sweetest and fruity flavored terpenes in the world. Opening a bag of cured buds releases prominent tropical paradise scents with hints of earth and forest pine.

Strong grapefruit, pineapple, and sweet citrus aromas fill the room when you combust one of these flowers. The subtle apple, smoky wood, and skunky tones blend beautifully with the exotic fruity concoction.

The tropical cocktail of fragrances complement the flavor, with mouth-watering candied fruits delighting the palate. Cannabis connoisseurs will be able to detect soft and long-lasting sweet soil and pine notes lingering on the tongue after exhaling.

Cinderella 99 fast version seeds grow guide
Cinderella 99 fast version seeds are easy to grow and produce the best yields in experienced cultivators' hands. Thanks to their strong resilience to common molds and pests, these cannabis plants shouldn't pose any problems for rookie gardeners.

With constant monitoring, Cinderella 99 fast version marijuana crops will thrive in optimal conditions. These fast-growing cannabis plants require you to keep on top of their nutrient schedule, especially during their vegetative stage.

These photoperiod plants prefer dry climates with plenty of sunshine outdoors. Use soil pots to enhance their beautiful fruity fragrances and protect them against wind and rain; these elements can hamper yields.

The plants from Cinderella 99 fast version seeds may need assistance to keep their heavy colas propped up during the flowering stage. Use support beams to aid any branches bending under the weight of the buds to prevent breakage.

Trim some larger leaves to increase airflow as the buds develop in the 7–8 week flowering time. Cinderella 99 fast version yields are generous with 12–16 oz. per plant outdoors available for harvest in late September.

These cannabis seeds also grow well indoors with LED lamps. Remember, these photoperiod-sensitive marijuana plants require a strict lighting cycle of 18/6 during their vegetative stage and 12/12 during flowering.

Use a Sea of Green (SOG) cultivation technique for more abundant bud hauls, faster turnarounds, and to optimize your indoor growing space. Expect to gather 12–16 oz./m² every harvest with the proper care and attention.

Wellness and Cinderella 99 fast version seeds
Cinderella 99 fast version seeds' marijuana is a popular choice in medicinal dispensaries. Its impressive cannabinoid terpene profile includes myrcene, d-limonene, alpha-pinene, linalool, and beta-pinene.

Myrcene is reported to have a wealth of benefits and effects, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immune-strengthening properties. This wonder compound may help relieve stress and enhance your mood.

Medicinal marijuana cardholders suffering from daytime fatigue buy this cannabis to avail of the initial energizing boost. The mental clarity enhances concentration and focus and may benefit folks with ADD.

Thanks to its uplifting and euphoric cerebral effects, Cinderella 99 fast version seeds' marijuana may also help combat depression and reduce anxiety. It may help cast aside negative thoughts and promote a brighter, positive outlook.

The terpenes' anti-inflammation combatants can help ease physical pressure in joints and muscles. Folks with arthritis and Crohn's disease report relief from this weed's pain-killing characteristics.

GLOWSTARZ (1 seed)

Linalool, Humulene, Myrcene*

Photoperiod
Phenotype:
Indica-Dominant (40/60)
Breeder:
Paradise Seeds
Genetics:
SFV OG x Gelato 33
Projected Flowering Time:
56 to 63 days
Projected Yield:
500g/sq. met.
THC %:
20
CBD %:
<1

*Terpenes for this strain were determined by combining the terpenes from the strains in its lineage as I couldn’t find any for this strain.

Luminous Fun… Growers of all abilities will fall in love with this 60/40 hybrid with a lean to the indica side.

Glowstarz flies off the chart with its superb Kushy/Cookie flavors, and rampant resin production which coats plants with a glowing trichome trail. Just like a glow star, you can stick this versatile plant almost anywhere and it will illuminate your grow space.

Cut this plant and it will bleed pure California with its swag of premium Cali genetics. It’s adaptable, it’s tough with good resistance qualities and it’s bountiful with its high yields.

Lineage
We can’t emphasise enough what a fun plant this is and it will leave you with a smile on your face at every stage of the grow process.

On the one side is an original San Fernando Valley OG Kush (also known as SFV OG), supplied by Paradise’s Californian friends in 2018, which is a hybrid renowned for its earthy/pine smoothness and potency.

On the other side is Gelato 33, a Cookies influenced strain which is known for its energetic euphoria and pronounced sweet taste. Glowstarz exhibits the best of qualities of its parents which is reflected in its flavor and effect.

Aromas and Flavours
Glowstarz brings the highlights of two signature cannabis families together in one extremely aromatic and flavorful plant.

From the Kush side there are deep tones of gas (diesel), pine and metal while the sweet and pungent edge is evidence of the Gelato 33 influence.

This meeting of both worlds has produced a strain with real full-blooded smell and taste.

Cultivation

Difficulty Level: Easy

Indoors: Underpinned by super reliable genetics, a Glowstarz cannabis seed is like a rocket, ready to launch wherever you want it.

The fun extends to the grow experience so expect great results in all environments. It’s a medium sized sturdy plant, which displays the architecture of a typical Kush, although with a more open structure to its growth. It should not exceed 1.5 meters in height.

Outdoors, its tremendous versatility should make it a no brainer for outdoor growers. From sea level to mountain heights, Mediterranean heat to rainy north European gardens, this is an incredibly adaptable plant.

Growers in cooler and wetter parts of the world will especially appreciate the high level of defense against disease which makes Glowstarz shine in the garden.

Yield and Presentation
Bud development is prolific and this strain develops nice thick flower clusters which grow closely together to produce long fox tail colas.

The buds (as well as fan leaves) sparkle with the promise of sweet resinous reward like sugar coated cookies. In their formation they are more in keeping with the Gelato/Cookies style in their compactness, although slightly bigger and their density adds weight to any harvest.

Indoor Yield: 500g

Outdoor Yield: 800g

Effect
Recreational: With the heavyweight credentials behind the lineage, one might expect a knockout blow from Glowstarz, but this is not the case. It soars with a feel-good euphoric charge which is the perfect fuel for creative activity and socializing.

The significant indica element shows itself with the warm glow of body relaxation and contentedness which characterizes the downswing. Like we said, ‘fun’!

Medical: There is much to recommend for medical cannabis consumers seeking relief.

It’s a good appetite stimulant and a rapid mood lifter and consistent use throughout the day will produce a deep relaxation and sedative quality sought after by many medical patients.
