HashGirl Implements A Perpetual Grow

Congrats on the cool beans and the circles to let us know it's not just a glass of water! The flowering plants are looking great and Candy is really all in with the stretch thing. Are you raising the others to maintain their distance to the light? There's an 8" difference between Candy and the shortest plant already.

Thanks. No, I haven't raised the others but Candy is only sharing a tent with Babs currently. With the PM issues I was having, I decided to keep 2 of the FLOW2 girls in each tent but I'm supposed to be putting the VEG2 girls into flower this week so I'll have to move them around.

By the way, did you look at the article Stone posted about increasing humidity for plants with PM? I've put the humidifier between the 2 flower tents and the tents' humidities have both gone up 3%. They were at 33% and now, they're at 36%.

Also, what does PM look like before it dries? The leaves on Candy were wet today but I don't know if it's because of the humidifier or if this is PM or not.

Also, I noticed that one sprout had water on the leaves. It's better to keep them dry so that the plant only gets moisture from pushing new roots out down below. It's the same reason not to spray leaves of cuttings you're trying to clone. If they can get moisture directly from the leaves they don't bother growing roots.

The sprout is spritzed with water until it gets its second set of leaves.

Oh gotcha, thanks!

I didn't read it but I do remember reading that lower RH is not a preventative for PM. I would imagine you would need to be in an RH range too high for flower for it to have an effect on PM, which leaves you deciding which is worse: PM or budrot.

I'd recommend against that personally. If your RH is in the 20s then go with a dome, but I'd say make the plant grow roots for its water.

I don't see the issue with an auto going into flower after 30 days. Most folks would love to get that every time they plant one!

The problem is that they're supposed to be photoperiods not autoflowers.

Oh, your captions say autoflower.

They say they're autoflowers because they have now turned out to be autoflowers.

I got rid of all my autoflowers last year. I didn't want to grow autoflowers anymore. These were supposed to be photoperiods but they're obviously not and now, I have a dilemma.

The vendor has given me 6 months to find out if the balance of the seeds are also autoflowers or not as they will only send replacement seeds once.

So, I have 3 Clementine seeds and 4 Pineapple Express seeds left. I had planned on not having 4 new indoor veg plants this month due to the long-flowering strains I planted last month but I guess I'll put all of these seeds in water on the 18th. However, if they turn out to be photos then I might have more plants than space. So what do people here think II should do?

I would also like to have an answer to this question, please: ⬇︎

Also, what does PM look like before it dries? The leaves on Candy were wet today but I don't know if it's because of the humidifier or if this is PM or not.

I don't think of PM as ever wet so I'm not sure I understand the question.

I thought you told me that PM that is dry and white isn't an issue. So, what I wanted to know is what does PM look like before (when it is an issue) it dries and whitens?

I just read some stuff on plants sweating due to being too leafy. Candy isn't too leafy but I guess I'll remove some (all?) of the wet leaves.

Shed's being very glass half full about the seeds, which is probably the right way to be to keep one's equilibrium and avoid conflict. I'd be pissed. I think it is bad customer service and a ludicrous expectation. Most people would not have the facilities to grow them all at once! I suppose there isn't much you can do to get them to be honourable and give you new seeds! I think they are wrong. They are damn nice strains too. How disappointing.

Yeah, it's a pain but if they're all autos, at least I won't have to worry about flipping them if they all turn out to be autos.

I definitely won't be buying seeds from them again. I actually thought they were a sponsor (Seed Fair) when I bought them but I had the second name wrong.

*** FLOWER1 UPDATE ***

Good afternoon and Happy Good Friday to all who celebrate. We're having brined lamb shank and roasted potatoes with my Dad. :battingeyelashes:

This week's Flower1 girls are different from last week's Flower1 girls. Babs, Candy, Roxy and Suzy are now all in the Flower2 tent. These girls were in the Veg tent last week but I put them into the Flower1 tent today.

Other news is that they were all uppotted to 5-gallon pots prior to their move. Without further ado, here are the pictures:

*** FLOWER2 UPDATE ***

Good afternoon.

There will be no Flow1 update this week as the VEG2 girls are now the Flow1 girls and I already reported on them.

The Flow2 girls aren't looking great these days. I think I didn't rinse off the citric acid spray as well as I thought. It's tricky because I usually tend to them just before lights out and since the lights come on at 1 a.m. and I'm sleeping then, I can't do it then.

Most of them have shrunk over the past 9 days except for Suzy who grew a whopping 5" taller AND 5" wider. Without further ado, here are this week's pics:

*** VEG1 UPDATE ***
Good afternoon.

I currently have 8 plants in Veg1, which is double what I'm supposed to have right now. This is because Clem and Piper turned out to be autos and the seed vendor who I found out is a sponsor: The Seed Pharm (They don't appear to have a handle on 420 as I can't tag them.), told me he would replace any seeds that turn out to be autos but that it was a one-time offer and they could give me six months to see if the balance of the seeds are autos or photos. I suspect they're all autos since it doesn't make sense to me that a package of 5 seeds would contain both auto and photo seeds.

In other news, I've renamed Dayo to Dumi as I just didn't like the first name. Dumi means "one who inspires others".

Mala and Cassie have both had big growth spurts this week. Without further ado, here are this week's pics:
