Thanks Jg!...and welcome!!...MY thoughts have changed a little in regards to autos...as Spitz pointed out...they have given me a couple zips of different strains, in a timely manner...photo's will always be my main focus...but...will prolly try a couple other auto strains...just because...lolool...cheerz,,h00k...:Hookah:

Awesome journal hook I'm late as well bt I'm loving the garden and the training ur doing on those girls it should improve the yield. I'm with u I'm not really a fan of autos. I've gotten about an oz from my only one bt it also went over 70 days too. Personally since I have the room I'd rather have my plants yield more and veg longer even tho they gave u some frosty buds! Great job!
Not a big fan either. But they can be fun now and then

Congrats hook! I try and vote in every MOM and POM contest "just because". I missed this one as hrs turned to days/week/month...

I'm sort of happy I didn't have to make a choice! Im down to only following a few and yours will always be one. That damn T.S. won't share his plants with us. Guess will have to live with the "edgy" common sense comments he scatters around the forum! They're always my favorite reads! Congrats again!

Hey there Doc.. still on the mainland here ... hot n humid. Your plants looking mighty fine, healthy and happy.

If you wanna dabble a little with AUTOs and I do from time to time, try Dark Devil and/or Dark Cream and/or Red Poison.

These flowers will put an extra skip in your jump, and the pretty colors are off the charts... any of them look freaky but have a very very good medicinal effect and easy to grow. Made for the great white north. I grow them basically for my head stash. Each plant MAYBE a zip dry. Grow a half dozen and you have some killer stash. Friends go wild .. you go happy.

There's a Dark Devil grow journal ongoing.

Dark Devil Auto - A Community Grow Record

Page back to see some finished goodies. I've been growing this particular strain for several years now. I'm a very very cheap bastard, so $10/seed is usually not going to happen, but these 3 are exceptions and I've not been disappointed.

Cheers and can't wait to get going up to the cottage!

Hey H00K, I haven't been avoiding your journal because I'm stuck up or anything, lol. Figured if I didn't, sooner or later I'd end up wishing you good luck and unthinkingly start a guideline-violation type discussion. So... now I'm back to pestering everyone ;) .

try Dark Devil

I've read encouraging reports of this strain. Would like to try it, myself. I got a wild hair and joined one of the "Community Auto-Flower Grow Threads," so I soaked and planted a Cream Caramel Auto (Sweet Seeds) recently, but I either screwed that up or the seed didn't like spending a couple(?) weeks in my attic this Summer. When I opened the tiny Ziploc to pull the seed out, I discovered that I actually had TWO of them. I'm thinking about trying again. With a name like that, it ought to be good on the nose (and the taste buds). IDK about potency, or even the type of effect. I'm trying to keep my expectations low (in regards to all aspects of it) so that I don't end up disappointed and might might be pleasantly surprised. Still hoping the first one comes up, but I let the cup get kind of dry and may have watered the cracked seed too far down into the soil to have a chance. Who knows, maybe I could end up with two (or none), lol.

I'm known for being... thrifty, too, lol, but... Ten bucks a seed seems well below cheap to me. You do know those things turn into bud, right ;) ? Cannabis seeds are the only items that, when I'm shopping, I try very hard to NOT look at the prices. Of course, that means that I might pick out a strain and then have to save up three months to get it.

I have occasionally realized that, "Hey, not only can I get those right now - I can get TWO packs!" due to not looking at the prices beforehand. But, yeah... that's rare.

I wouldn't strike a strain (/breeder) from my list because it is expensive, nor would I bump one up because of price. But everything else about your recommendation of this strain is encouraging (thank you!) . It is already on my list, and I'll add another * beside it (designates another recommendation). The thought of being able to produce head-stash quality bud from an auto-flowering strain is nice. I'm still used to expecting a (minimum of) 14- to 20-week flowering period with that descriptor - and that doesn't count vegetative time (or, at least, time to root the cuttings). Cool....
