H00k's Not So Hillbilly This Time Grow - Girlz 2017

...I haven't had to use A/C yet...if we start getting warmer overnight temps, I might have to take the portable from the house...temps will get in the mid to high 80's...that's still within MY comfort zone...extraction with the six inch unit is much better than the four...I still have the four in the room as well, so fire that up as well...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

So in 14 hrs this is the difference

and might I add for just one grow it is pretty dirty so I strongly recommend you clean after every season

switched out 600w led for this 2 bulb 1200 lumens 5600k 14 w equivalent to 100w bulbs just to keep her warm cause she's sitting in my room. Should I not have these on and just keep her in the dark? This light will keep it too cold and maybe not hot enough to know to sprout?!

btw what's better then some late night munchies and some Frosted Flakes !

this light lets me keep temps just right

Good stuff!...I'm glad you are using CFL's to start her out...I really meant to suggest that!...LED's are new to me...but I have always started seedlings on less intense light...once your girl breaks ground, its amazing how quickly roots will fill a space...

...thats 2 weeks in 4 inch pots ...so keep that in mind...typically I will up pot seedlings around two or three weeks when started in 4 inch starters(solo cup equivalent) to a gallon pot...then to final home ..I've played around...but that seems to work the best for mee...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Update time...with the exception of the Mexi's and one Lily...I'm a lil' underwhelmed with rest of the girlz...the other lily seems a different pheno...narrower leaves and much shorter...the sugar loafs and oriental express are shorter than I would expect normally at this point, although both strains are new to me...as long as they're healthy, who knows what will happen post flip(that will be next feedin in 4/5 days)...The one Malawi is significantly bigger than her sister...they're just taking so damn long!...lolool...they're stated as a 70 day flower(auto), but I'm guessing another month...oh well...it is what it is, as they say...

So it was just water for the girlz last evening...but...they all got top dressed with some new EWC I found at the nursery yesterday...African night crawlers no less!??...we'll see...also picked up some organic bat quauno based liquid ferts which will introduced at next feeding in a few days...Will have to research this organic growing some more this winter while I'm sipping cerveza's and having a puff on some inferior mexican produce...lolool...on to the Pic's...

Malawi sisters...believe it or not the smaller one has eight guy wires trying to spread her out...I even tried saying please...lolool...

...When I went outside last evening, was probably 10/15 minutes after lights on...temps/humidity were pushing my comfort levels...88/67...ran the 4" fan as well overnight and things were settled down this a.m. ...79/54...

TGIF tomorrow(doesn't have the same appeal any more...every day is Saturday now...)...stay safe...stay smiling...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

kewl...haven't ever done that...yet...lolool...just so convenient to go shopping...so many strains!!...will be following your journal more regular...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:
I like your lineup, cant wait to see them in full flower.

Can I please have some advice on if should keep my seed started in the dark or have it with cfl light on in tent

leave the CFL on and keep it close to the soil...will give a bit of warmth...once your girl breaks ground...keep her about 3 or 4 inches away as she grows(or as she will tolerate)...hopefully in a couple weeks she will be several inches tall and ready to up pot(maybe sooner cause you went with the smaller cup)...when you do start them under the LED...keep the light high at first to see how they react...I went with roughly 36 inches on average as my lights vary on wattage and LED's are new to me this year as well...just keep an eye and watch how she responds...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Looking great hook! What schedule is your unexpected flowering reg on? Did she come in a breeders pack or repackaged? Would lad love some Malawi close ups! Peace

Thanks Bud...other than the Malawi's...the rest are(or at least supposed to be) fem photo's...and all the seeds from Ace were repackaged(and a SOB to unpackage...lolool)...IMHO...the mali's aren't close up worthy yet...but will take a couple when I bring them out next for feeding in a few days (I dislike blurple pics for the most part)...pistils coming out the ying yang...but no frost yet...can't remember whose journal I followed that got me interested...maybe search my subs in the morning over coffee and see if I can find it...I do remember them finishing very nice...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Hey Hook! Sorry I'm late to the party! Love the grow shed set up. the lights kinda remind me of duggans lights but looks like you have more room. Like the pics under natural light. :passitleft:

Thanks Ween...and welcome!...the lights were acquired over a period of time...this is my first run with LED's...they are performing well(if I had to do it over again...would do things differently)...although a lil' hotter than my previous hillbilly lights...but between having a cooler summer(except for the last couple days...plus 90's) and getting the feel for them...I'm doing OK...yeah...natural light pic's are the best...for both presentation and for anyone watching to better identify a problem I'm missing...sometimes just not practical tho'...can't remember Duggs dimensions...this is basically 6x7x7...just a once a year grower and manage to get harvest to harvest with surplus...but I'm a light weight..lolool...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Awesome journal hook I'm late as well bt I'm loving the garden and the training ur doing on those girls it should improve the yield. I'm with u I'm not really a fan of autos. I've gotten about an oz from my only one bt it also went over 70 days too. Personally since I have the room I'd rather have my plants yield more and veg longer even tho they gave u some frosty buds! Great job!
