Finished my vortex brewer. I think I'll still make some tweaks to it eventually. The spout is pretty low so I'll fix that soon. Aside from that it works great!
I ordered a 3gal plastic carboy off Amazon.
And a 1" uniseal. This is checking for placement.
Drill with home saw 1 3/4" bit.
I drilled out using a 3" hole saw the bottom so I can add water and amendments.
Push the uniseal in from the inside and put in a 3/4" 45° elbow.
Got a rubber coupling to fit the bottle neck. Couldn't find one that fit the pvc but found a piece that worked well.
Found a rubber ring in the toilet section. Used that to cushion the bottle.
Here is the bottom
We go from the jug down to a Tee. The tee goes out to a spout. I read that 1' is recommend for a better vortex but I will eventually shorten it
The other side runs to another tee and goes up into the jug. The last part is a 90° elbow that is threaded. I picked up a nipple that accepts airline
I'm using the eco1 commercial pump. It's only strong enough for 1" pvc if I recall correctly. I used 1 1/2" and it didnt work so now I'm using 3/4"
Here it is on the table. Added rope to keep it more stable the vortex is better when it's even.
Here is my vortex!
