Hey i got a quick question when its time to harvest can i cut off half of the plant so like that the bottom buds get some light? will it be safe for the plant ?.

o and now for my second grow its gonna be a doozie my friend gave me this plant i belive its purple but it looks wierd i belive he had it in a 12/12 cycle and then changed it to 18/6 and now i have it pictures up in a bit
