My First Grow In My Closet: Poor Man's Grow

Looking a Hella lot better than your start up Dude. I been peeking at your shit going. I'm into the 35th day of my trip with Low rider 2, and still don't see any sign of sex. So it seems you are from the Lone Star State. I use to live out in Carlsbad afew years back. I'm a resent transplant to Misery or as they say Mo. Can you believe this, this state has on the books "Life WITHOUT Parole for a large grow yet Life WITH Parole for 1st Degree Murder" Makes alot of sense huh? Good Luck Dude WOOD

Be careful with the chord of that little CFL taped to the other light fixture. The heat may loosen up the adhesive and let that cfl drop and pop.

The plant looks great...good job man.

Day 20 of flowering... Well the plant is still doing pretty good. Although I think I still have bugs. There are no webs at all now, but the leafs do look like they are being eaten, any ideas? The plant is 17" tall and has a lot of bud sites... :cheesygrinsmiley: what ya think?

Look into Safers Insect Soap and Neem Oil. If it is really bad start off with some Pyrethrum Spray. All of these should be available at your local hydro shop or nursery. They also sell a Pyrethrum fogger if you need to address an issue with the whole room. These can be used on fruits/vegatables up to 1 day before harvest. These methods require repeat application every few days for 3 weeks or so to ensure you are killing the insects throughout their different little life cycles. Just check out what the instructions call for. Pyrethrum is non-toxic to mammals after about a day since it breaks down very fast. It's actually a derivative of Chrysanthemums.

You might want to look at the bottoms of your leaves with a magnifying glass and see if you can see any black dots. I'm pretty sure you will even be able to see them moving around abit. That's if they are spidermites. Hard to really tell, but I'm pretty sure you are early enough that any treatments won't harm your buds to be. If they are mites you do have them way early enough to rid yourself of them. Spidermites are the nightmare of any grower. Man they sure love weed too. Makes you wonder why? I've had them so bad all that was left of my leaf was the vein structure, looked alot like lace. Safers works well. I have also just used dish soap to tho in a pinch. Just read the destructions. GL and Stay Down

I see your still with the fluorecents. You might want to try tying them over. This will let alot more light to the interior of your plant. It works wonders as long as you don't break or kink ur stem when doing so. As old as your plant is it can be tricky. And you don't want to damage any of your bud sites either. I use bread ties, like 2 or 3 depends and the distance between leaf nodes wrapped losely around the stem them tied with string, or whatever, the tied to a hole in the top of your pot. Are you using full spectrum lights? Well Stay Down

thoes looks awesome bud but i dont think you gotta bug problem otherwise it would of spread much faster then just 5 or 6 leaves or 1 bottom of 1 plant. when i had mites they took over the whole plant in almost a week and then i murdered them all mite-rid. that looks like some sort of over fert or nute lockout cause the tips of the upper leves are curling it looks like and turning brown. with bugs its all over most of the time i aint no plant doc either its just what ive seen from experience. other then that that plant looks healthy as a horse. its great dude keep it up. your plants are 1 day into veg further then mine and allot of my water leaves are yellow yours are still green ;)

Hey thanks for the comments everyone!! Day 23 of flowering.

The plant is 18" today and doing good. Im really busy with school/clinicals this week and it's going to be even worse next week... so I probably won't be able to update for a week or two. Since i've been so busy I haven't had time to fix the bug/whatever problem with my plant. The problem looks like it has stopped or is progressing really slowly so we will see... The buds have a lot of white hairs and I can't wait for them to start getting bigger. Ok that's it for now, I will update with pics as soon as I get some free time. Thanks for watching :peace:

Well while taking a break... I read a lot about the fungi rust. This really sounds like what my plant has. At some points during the day it does not have too good of circulation (a good way to wear rust develops), and the leafs look that of what i've seen fungi does to plants. Also, the stems have a orangish tint like that of rust over them. From what i've read to cure this one must: flush, and spray on 1 tea spoon per quart of baking soda all over the plant. I think im going to try this... I mean it couldn't hurt it... right?

I dont know about curing that, but get a fan on her!

I dont know about curing that, but get a fan on her!

Yeah I do have a fan on her for about 12 hours of the day. but some times I have to close the door to my closet and no fan. I also think it is rust because I have orange spots on my shower curtain which could be rust fungi..? My shower is on the other side of the wall of my closet too... hmmmm.

Is she alot worse that the pic's show now? At that point, in the pic's, I don't think I'd do all that. Now if it looks like it's hurting the plant severe or fixing to be, not just some lower leafs. I know the baking soda is a ph thing. Well have a good break. Stay Down

Day 34 of flowering. 19.5" tall, seems to have stopped growing... It's getting a little frosty around the buds. Im thinking the buds should be denser by now but oh well I guess. check it out..

Looking good. lack of bud density is probably due to lack of using an HID light. You're growth may be stunted too as a result of the insect problem you had. That really stresses the plant out. If you upgrade your light to a 400w MH/HPS you'll be very happy with your results.

Tx, give it a chance to fill out. It has now slowed down growing upwards and will now focus on filling out. I can see mine putting on weight nightly. She will fatten up nicely..

Looking good dude. Mine finally started to flower out too. All 3 turned female, not that I'm complaing. Except that I need a bigger light out of storage. Stay Down
