2015 Dr. Bearkenstien Goes Crazy Grow Journal

switched to a new bloom nutrient it is from fox farm the local grow shop didn thave my roots organic so had to switch hope i dont regret it this far into the grow. Everyone got their water and feed today they recieved:
15ml Big Bloom
15 ml budda grow
15 ml Trinity
10 ml HPK

The Jack clones are now nestled in a 5 gal grow bag and They got a gal of ph balanced waterThe clones in the dome are holding their own for now am keeping my fingers crossed. The budz i have forming right now are small and tight and spread around so not expecting much from this bach. I did some cost analyst over the past month and it is costing me about half of what it was costing to keep two lights going ( one on 24/7 the other 12/12 ) than it was costing me to run one 600 w hps gotta love theses LED's. Last month my light bill was at a 2 yr low at 82.00. Am sitting here thinking about building a cabinet to do my clones seeds and veg in. The dimensions I am thinking of using is 3.5' x 6.5' x 6.5'with a door on one end for acess. A shout out to OG for the idea and basic design. Some pics I took before lights out

everyone is hanging on. all clones are now out of dome and in their veg pots will up pot one time before flower. everyone got watered yesterday. I estimate plants in flower are in their 5th week ( give or take 3-4 days ) so i am guessing another 4-5 weeks before harvest. will take new pics when lights come on in flower room.

everyone got watered and fed today am not feelling well just came on to post some pics i promised the other day

dont know if it is spider mights thats why I posted the pics of the leaves could be other prob

best I can do with the cam i have

todays update
yup I have lots of spider mites did a dusting of diatomaceous earth on tues did a foliar spray of that and water Wens and tonight and will continue to spray until grow is finished was told as long as i have my dog near my grow then i will have spider mitesalso puut a think layer on top of the grow mix that will be watered in when i water the next time. Other wise the flower room is doing well they are starting to stack on lots of little buds all over. the 2 older jack clones are now in their first week of veg they are about 3 weeks out of the cloner gonna let em go 24/7 on lights til the young ones get to the same stage then shut down the dome and flip to 18/6 light till they are 4 weeks then flip to 13/11 till done. That is the plan but like the saying goes if you want to hear god laugh tell him your plans. Will get pics when i aint had 2 pots of coffee and shaking like a fool

Hey Bears. You are going to need more than DE to deal with spider mites. To be clear, there is leaf damage and mites/eggs on the leaves not the soil? Are you seeing any webbing? What else do you have for pest control? Do you have any extra funds to purchase anything?

Dogs are always around my grow spaces and plants, very rarely do I see spider mites. They are just as likely (if not more) to come in on yourself or other people. Healthy plants/soil, an ipm routine, and correct temp/rh deter spider mites and other unwanted pests.

gonna get some neem oil next month when i get paid any other suggestions will be appreciated

harvested the flower room last night because off massive webbing from spider mites .took 6 clones off the jackalope and 5 off the blue fire and dropped 3 blue fire seeds. have 2 jacks in their second week of veg that just got flipped to 18/6. will be moving the grow next week into another room so have to get it ready. started dismantling the grow today and will be finishing in the next couple of days. This is the 3rd grow i have had to shut down because of mites. List for next week shopping
NEEM OIL
FIND LADY BUGS
GET 3 DOZ WORMS

I think that will hold me over have to inventory nutrients while i am at it will take pics when I get done doing what is going on

Alot has been going on I harvested the flower room because of the mites cam out with very little everything went into making oil for cooking made about 2/3 of a cup final product but it is a dark green to redish brown may have scorched it? found seeds in both the blue fire and the jackalope so did not get males out in time there was only about a half dozen from the blue fire and 10 from the jack. here is a pic of the harvest drying

was a sad looking harvest hanging theregot to taste a couple nugs from the jackalope and enjoyed it. was a nice mellow buzz which kept me going at the same time rate it about a 5 for now see if that changes when the new stuff comes in. I have 2 jacks in their 3rd week of veg right now and i gave em a mix of 1 gal water 10ml budda grow 10 ml trinity 1 capfull of ph down to balance ph.
these are the 3 week olds

I also started dismantling the closet except for curtain fan and light and veg plants. will be moving across the hall to another room sometime in the next week. I also planted 3 blue fire seeds 4 days ago and have 1 that is 2 days old it is lonely in the big pot since I took the jack out this morning lol might need to remedy that buy planting some more seeds. I have a question for the great and powerful OG I have a 5 foot long closet i am going to be moving the grow into would you put in light mover? It is only about 2.5 wide.

Spend the money on environmental control, ipm and soil ingredients in my opinion. Don't further complicate things with moving parts. Do you have a country store or feed store near you? Organic dairy farms? You have organic orchards near you and fruit stands, you may be able to get cheap or free old produce for compost. Bring a 5g bucket with you and offer to buy a bucket of whatever good compost you come across.

am using the 300watt leds not the hps anymore sold the hps's love these MARS 300

Oh shit, yeah I forgot.
Ok so two Mars lights. Then yes I do recommend a mover and get the plants as close to the lights as you can. The one I use agramover.com is great, cheap, rebuildable, and American company.
What was the real draw on the lights again?

Going to need a mover and more lights if you want to get the best yield out of a room that big. I use 260w x 3 in my 2x6' cabinet and it works great.

That being said, I would stick with what you have and just get a successful harvest first. Dedicate all of your spare money and time to solving the bug problems. Once you get good harvests reliably then start worrying about optimizing with bigger lights and movers and stuff.
You can use the money you save from a successful harvest to buy new equipment. Reinvesting in yourself :)
