I was curious how much change since 6:00 pm, just 3 hours 44 minutes ago, and they are moving. The one grew 3/16 of an inch, well, technically I guess it just straightened up more so than grew.

I could use some feedback if my frequency of posting is interesting or too much. I thought, at least at this phase, it would be interesting to see just how much they grow throughout the day.

Starting tomorrow, I'll need to change my format to record the height for both plants. Anyhow, pics attached.

Plant#2 looks like it is coming in with a helmet. I thought about putting a little soil on it like I did with #1, but I caught that one earlier. If it comes up with it, I will figure it out, tweezers maybe.

I mentioned cutting back on postings, but at this phase of their development, I find it too interesting to see the changes. I'll cut back soon enough unless I get feedback from several people to the contrary beforehand. This forum is my only documentation with pictures from their beginning.

Yea if they are that far out the soil with a helmet on I go ahead and spray water on it ever few minutes and let it soften up and then just take a toothpick and carefully slide it off. Keep up the good work.

Thank you. Before I saw this, I had to go down to my tent to put my paper log back that I used for my posting and saw she was a little further up with it on. I gently used my fingers and it came right off. I'll remember that if (optimistic, when) there's a next time.

What kind of soil are you using? That may be why they were slower starting. Cannabis grows best in a very airy soft soil mix with quite a bit of perlite. The one you have looks very "fiberish". You also dont want to "pack" the soil down hard. Just lightly tap it when filling containers.

Espoma Organic Seed Starter (pic on first page). I don't pack it, I pour and that's about it. The water may pack it, but I'm using a spray bottle, so it can't be much. My Durban Poison is in the same soil and came up in 4 days. Might just be I put these down a tad further or they are just a slower seed.

I moved plant#1 that went into veg today out of the dome based upon the look of the leaves, thinking the humidity was too high. I also gave each of them a couple sprays with the bottle as foliage spray. I thought too that plant#1 would need it in the lower humidity.

No further numbers being reported for this time and no pics. Closed the 3 HVAC vents in the basement. Note: The HVAC is running on the cool cycle with the thermostat set at 69 F during the day and changes to 63 F starting at 2:30 pm until the morning on the the days the wife works, and runs 63 F all day on her days off. This accounts for lower temps (than the ideal plant target range) and a fluctuations between reports.

I moved plant#2 that went into veg today out of the dome. Not knowing the anatomy of the seed, and considering I removed the helmet, she had what I'll describe as a soft tissue like material on one leaf that I sprayed with water and gently removed using some of the pieces of wood in the soil.

I said I wouldn't post for a week but I had to share this. My wife picked some sweet basil from our garden to use for cooking and put a sprig of it in a glass of water in the kitchen window sill. Although I have successfully cloned 3 for 3 in the past (for marijuana), she unintentionally got better root results than all my special cutting, cloning gel, and rockwool . I may have to designate her the cloner.

Early post due to a few strategy changes with dome and watering. Soil was dry with last watering 3 days ago 07/09/20 6:00 pm. I read how to water your plants and wanted to give a good deep soaking for overall root development.

This post is to document the plants conditions beforehand for comparison.

In the reading I also learned about up-potting. I use peat pots to avoid handling as I don't do transplanting well. My plan was to go to a 7 gallon fabric. Now I have to rethink that plan, but I used everything I have for a veggie garden and finances are tight. If they were in the wild, they would just go, so I may have to do that.

I moved them in the dome with the vents open 07/10/20 12:00 pm to increase humidity, which has gone from an avg 50% to 70% and they have been doing well.

I moved outside with the goal of speeding up growth that I think have been stunned for two reasons, one, the low temps my wife has to have in the house that is resulting in consistently low temps for the plants as documented, and two, to dry out in the event I've been overwatering (to which I credit @adudecalledjay for pointing out as a possibility, as well as pointing out the stunned growth).

Seem to be loving the sunlight, and I made a pot rotation to prevent too much leaning in one direction. No sure I believe the temp/RH reading, it doesn't feel like a 100 F and the forecasted high was 81 F.

I included the forecast because my meters are for indoors and read high outdoors. I took readings throughout the day but just used the forecast temp and last RH, which in the case was in the tent, instead of detailing each recording. This will be the practice for outside days.

Moved 5" peat pots into 7 gal fabric containers at 2:30 pm due roots showing on GSC#1; no other pots or funds available.

Moved GSC#2 also since growths are so close and that is where she will end up too, besides, no harm in meantime while in peat pot. Note: Third pot is Durban Poison.
