temps in grow space- 26 degrees Celsius, 45% relative humidity, everything blowing around nicely in the tent

New update- hey everyone thanks for stopping by. Today everything looks great, the plant has bounced back from defoliation , it’s almost like it never even happened , I tied down all the taller stuff so all the lower stuff is now the tallest part of the plant and all energy has been focused there, with this strain and pheno type , this plant explodes in growth after a defoliation and there is noticeable new growth on all the stuff I didn’t tie down. Now I also have a 3 blue kings ( 70 indica 30 sativa) and this plant doesn’t seem to enjoy the defoliation , also my first time growing the strain so it’s trial and error. Back to the mint chocolate og by HSO. I also like to defoliate to crest more airflow through the plant and I constantly get rid of lower growth on the regular. Here are the pics from today



So I watered today ph@ 6.7 some of my plants in the small pots were wilted a bit didn’t have any time last night to go in the tent. It takes a long time to eater my fabric pots properly, to ensure water has penetrated through the whole 10 gal pot my smaller ones are easier obvs but still need to water slowly



I couldn’t be happier with the way everything is going the canopy is looking beautiful, nice and even , such a beautiful strain, and gives off a pleasant smell of what’s in store when I defoliate.

She is growing in nice and thick again , it almost looks like I didn’t even take anything away from her the other night I think about 48 hrs ago. She’s got lots of budsites, I will be installing the SCROG net on her before I flip to flower. Just waiting for some of my other plants to get a little bigger before i make the switch .


This measurement is taken at soil level , she’s a very wide short plant , power of the indica baby this is the best canopy I have made on any of my plants yet, but every grow seems to be getting better and better

Continuation of previous post!



Thanks for coming back so after adjusting some more ties she’s looking nice , I try to keep a flat canopy so everything is getting equal light , so come flower all buds are in the sweet spot, now that I have a lux meter good for burple leds I know exactly where that is


I have to move this 60 pound plant out of the tent to take pictures under a 5000k led light , it’s the only way to get a nice shot
I put a 4L just beside her just to put her size into perspective


This is a shot of everything in the punisher , I am waiting for my new in-line fan to come , it’s gonna really help keep my climate in check



So that’s all I have for today , I hope your enjoying this as much as I am, this is a big learning curve for me so please offer your knowledge , I welcome all criticism, I’ve got big shoulders. Man,that was a fast recovery from the defoliation,she's looking healthier than ever!
Not really anything to criticize,looks like you're doing everything right...
That 60lb pot is why I stick to 3 gallon-my old back couldn't handle anything much heavier than they are..If I used a 10 gallon,I'd have to put it on wheels to move it around...

Intro- hey everyone thanks for stopping by, joe has your week been??
Things have been very hectic this week, i had extra long days at work and had a lot going on aswell in my family life, my youngest boy was jumping in the bed when I was at work and he fell off and hyper bent the bone he’s only 2.5 years old . So they put a temporary cast on and Friday he seen the specialist and turned out it was a bad sprain, but my wife had to stay home all week and so things go a lot busier and I had no time to take pictures or do any updates.

Climate in tent- tent currently sitting at 30 degrees Celsius, and 40 % relative humidity , things are not as I want them, I am thinking about moving the grow to the basement, it’s almost 10 degrees cooler down there . But the plants are showing the signs of heat stress they are drinking more water then usual. I hope when I get my new in-line fan things will improve , I just have a powerful 6 inch desk fan in the hole pulling air out , it just created enough negative pressure. I am going to get black out curtains to block the sun coming into where my tent is but something needs to be done soon.

Update for the week- so all week I just watered ph@6.5-6.8 and everything has been in cruise control. I did a defoliation on my last update and it looked like it has never happened , but there is a lot of new growth, I plan on putting the scrog up soon so I’m just growing as much as I can gonna see how things fill in with the scrog, before I remove everything that isnt part of my main canopy. I will just veg longer to fill the scrog to let everything else catch up.

Today I did another defoliation but I didn’t go as heavy on the romoving of the fan leaves I just removed what was blocking the lower growth.
So that’s enough of my just talking on and on let’s just dive into today’s photos


So the canopy is looking nice as always she’s nice and green and always reaching for the sky except for light off of course , but one thing I have noticed just before the lights come on she starts reaching up as if to anticipate when it's about to come in which is incredible

Everything is filling out nicely there’s a lot of new growth, in curious as to how she’s gonna react one so lay her flat with the scrog

She takes up about 65% of the 2x4 !grow tent, I feel like I should have just grown everything to the right and left , to fill the space better she’s almost a perfect square



I decided to start to bend some more branches down to try and get her more even across , this is when I started to defoliate the plant to open up her insides a bit,

I didn’t go quite as aggressive on this defoliation this week, I have started my own supersoil compost bin where I am putting all my trimmings into , it will be a while before I can use the soil but I am excited

I like to rotate the plant and look at it at a different angle you always miss something, I know I do anyway.

I started to bend things back with the rubber coated wire.


As you can see, I still do have some open space in the canopy, so that’s why I’m letting some of the smaller stuff grow just to see what things grow into, I think I am going to veg this plant a little longer then I expected but I already came this far might as well go big or go home right

Update-- second update of the day( had some time on my hands) FOR ONCE -so tonight I decided to install my trellis to see how room is going to play out and I decided as soon as my fan comes I am going to flower this tent I just don’t have enough room for the other 3 plants , so I’m gonna let things go for another 2 weeks and then do the flip . I may end up taking the other 3 out and put them outside I’m not sure yet, or I may turn my downstairs bathroom into a veg room and veg the 3 blue kings the black D.O.G and the Amherst sour d and once this plants done flower pop them in and do another flower run. Anyway getting off topic here ,

does anyone have any suggestions??? what would you guys do , pull the other 3 out and run them in my bathroom in veg under 2 mars 300s , or just run everything under the mars 300 and mars 144 reflector?? I have never done a scrog so I’m unsure on when to flip

I am sorry for the burble pics I just wanted you guys to see the scrog , is there any pointers anyone is willing dnebfs

@Kingjoe83 problem is there is 4 diss strains in here and I had issues last time with them finishing at the same time , I will be using this tent to dry my harvest, so I’m just wondering if it’s a good idea just to flip it to 12/12 or should I pull the other strains out and let this plant run longer to fill the space, I just have a few sativas and don’t know how much room they will take with stretch and I don’t want a headache grow . So would it be better to just set up a light downstairs in bathroom and just veg them there until this plant is done ? They are just in 1 gal smart pots until I get some more supersoil to up pot them. Hey joe I really appreciate the offer my friend but I have 3 mars hydro 300s , but the other 2 would be used in the veg room, do you think the mars 144 and 1 mars 300 will be enough to flower this tent ? Your such a solid guy dude

What size are your plants now currently ?

From the base line to top of highest cola?

You want to inticipate double what your plants are before you flip essentially if not mistaken especially if sativa dominant hybrid

I had headband 818 by Reserva privada just take off when I flipped her .

If it gets crazy super crop up until they stop streching or a few days before .

Or lower lights that reflector is full spectrum so be careful it's not the best flower light but decent for sure you will see lol always turns out a okay remember anything over 1000 umols is a waste of light hydro unless running or supplying unlimited CO2 supply

I’ve seen a few people do alright , but I’m sure there nothing compared to the unit farm light. But I completely out of Cannabis and I need to get this into flower, it’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve smoked and it’s been very stressful, even working 6 days a week I stil cannot afford to purchase any. This will be the last hard month for me and my family since my wife will have an income next month, just been really tough while she’s at school . I really appreciate the offer to borrow the lights but if something happened to them I couldn’t afford to replace them, so I’m gonna pass on that my friend.
