Grow #2: Outdoor/CFL Auto 420 Blueberry & AK-47 Smart Pots With Dr Earth Soil

Well...I was going to do a regular update and show y'all how I had started the first turn on AK 4, but instead I saw these on all three plants this morning so I'm aborting this grow on day 26. Any reason anyone can think of to keep this going?

No way any plant as tiny as these should have pistils, and not this early for these strains either, and certainly not all three.. Only think I can think of is that the early heat stressed them out so much it put them into survival mode.

So three more seeds will be sprouted this week, but I'll be keeping this journal for them and just starting over with new seeds and new numbers. RIP little ones, we hardly knew thee.

Sorry to hear about your little ones. I had to start completely over this grow also. I was finishing up my Blueberry photos and had a jug of full strength flower nutes sitting around like a dummy and I accidentally grabbed the flower nutes and watered my auto seedlings, you can guess what happened next, nutes burn bad. I flushed soil but they stunted really bad and didn't grow any for over a week so I jerked them up and started over. Im just glad I wasn't a month or more into the grow, I was only a couple weeks. The main reason I started over is cause I knew they would never yield what they should have. I am running a bunch of photos now so I can control veg just in case I have a problem I can veg a little bit longer if need be.✌️

Maybe they'd have a crazy flower stretch? Lol
Smaller plants = less nutes lol
Maybe just plant them outside and let them ride?? They just wanna live!!! Lol

They wanna seed to produce offspring! And since that's not gonna happen I can't keep them. I've already grown both strains and know what they're supposed to do, so waking up early every morning to move them into the sun and mix up nutes and measure PPM in and out for 3 grams/plant...not gonna happen.

Thanks for being their advocate though...and feel free to cheer for the next ones starting here later this week!

yea i dunno much about them auto's but they look to small to be flowering, do you know about what day they starting showing pistils in your last grow? (day 26) would seem right for the timeline they list for growing the seeds...70 days right? sucks bro, hard decision to make, but it seems these seeds have been giving you more trouble than the last right? maybe starting fresh would be best. Either way im right here with you bro!

Exactly. Since I know what I can get off them it won't be worth the effort to see what I get off these micro versions!

Thanks to all you guys for jumping in so quickly! Yeah LED this would be early compared to the last grow which had none of these kinds of problems. The total grow time for the last ones were 84-114 days (prob should have been 84-100!) and pistils were around day 37 or so for both.

Do stick around all. A fresh start is what I need here.

Thats what we are here for lol. You will be alright, things could be worse lol. Im excited for you to pop more seeds now lol.✌️

Hey Thunder, welcome aboard! I don't think you've gone too far at all here. The only thing I can tell from your pic is that you're pulling pretty hard to the edge of the pot so you'll have a hard time changing direction, which it is time to do. I'd take a wire and stick it in the soil to hold down the existing growth and then start to train her around the edge of the pot.

If you can post an overhead shot that would be helpful. Also, start a journal so we can follow your grow and help you along the way!

Welcome back. Thought we'd lost you!

Not sure if these are going to be transplanted or if they're autos, because once you start your LST you can't transplant them. So if you'll be upsizing do it first.

You need to take the furthest growth and begin to train it around the pot. One way of doing this is to add a leverage point, like a barbecue skewer, to hold the stem in place while you train around it. Then you gently pull the new growth down and around the skewer. Additionally, you should be looking at the new growth coming out from the lower part of plant and training that down as it gets big enough to grab. And last, you should be tucking the large fan leaves under the new growth so they don't block the light.

I hope these photos are helpful:

Also, your signature link didn't take. You need to copy the main URL (go to the first page, not to a specific post) of your journal and then go into edit your signature. Highlight what you wrote (GreenThunder Grow Journal #1; four strains in coco; indoor; 1000w; sprouted 8/15/17) and click the icon of the globe with the chain link on it in the middle of the text control boxes. That will pop up a URL window and you paste your journal link there. You should then have your sig text in green as a hyperlink to your journal.

Good luck!

Thank you sooooooo much!! This is exactly what I was needing (visual clues are my best friends) ✌

I will try to fix my signature.... I thought it didn't seem right but didn't know how to fix it

I think I may have added my entire post as my signature.... but how do I add to to comments? Is it automatic when I post (I guess I'll see when I post this comment)

Still not a link. Make sure you highlight everything you've typed to be in your sig before hitting the link button (globe with the chain link) and paste in the URL of your journal. Make sure the URL doesn't end with #post... after the .html at the end.

We'll sort this out!
