Grow #2: Outdoor/CFL Auto 420 Blueberry & AK-47 Smart Pots With Dr Earth Soil

Wednesday and I got tickets to see Walk off the Earth for next March!

Let's start with the flowering AK 4 on day 49, because though it's tiny, it's trying. I gave it half a gallon of nutes today. ½ tsp/gallon Open Sesame, 1 tsp/gallon TigerBloom, and 3mg/gallon cal/mag+. PPM in was 750 at 6.2pH

They both were dry today so I fed them 32 ounces each of: 1 tbs/gallon BigBloom, ½ tsp/gallon GrowBig, and 2ml/gallon cal/mag+. PPM was around 550 at 6.4 pH.

For fungus gnats i laminated yellow index cards and put some good old KY jelly on them, slapped them on a popsicle stick and put it right by the base of my plants. that takes care of the adults...for the larvae (which are really the ones hurting your plants) i use the mosquito bits you can mix in the soil and with some water they will eat it and die...something to try or atleast think about thats how i handled them in the past. I'll be at homedepot this weekend anyway so I'll have a look. Hope your backyard has been more secure lately!

they havent made it back over to take more yet, i was drinking last weekend and might have been yelling random warnings over the fence for anyone else trying to get any ideas. only thing left out there are the unders i didnt cut yet, if they want to take that by all means, i have enough to keep me going for a long time lol. Im tired of trimming anyways! Hope your babies start taking off, (ive been catching up on your journal, dont get discouraged dude, you know what you are doing and you are good at it, i think you should really try a photo period plant next grow!) your still one of my favorite posters on this site, you put in the time and do your homework. Those autos i showed you are outside all day/night right now, only get about 5 hours of sun a day, lookin pretty good still

Thanks LED! I was thinking the same thing about growing a photo. Don't really want to buy 5 seeds though so I'll see if I can find a place that sells single feminized photos. Since I'm in a warm climate I can start pretty early and make it yuge by mid-September (or as yuge as it will get in one of these pots)!

Here I am looking out a year and I can't even get my second grow "off" the ground ;)

Post some more pics of your haul as well as your construction site please! I want to see that grow addition in progress.

Unfortunately the way the shed is laid out (long and narrow) I would need three, and these are $180 each anyway so even one is way over my budget. If I only had room for a tent. Next house I guess :)

I guess I'm just stuck with the actual sun.

Okay what we talking for funds Canadian to spend bro so I can help you more flower red for bloom or veg? Or a balance?

Joe you are really trying to turn me into a tent grower!:circle-of-love:

What I was wondering was whether those little LED bulbs would be better light than the CFLs to supplement the sun. It is becoming clear to me that those LEDs are nowhere near enough light to do anything for the plants, and since I want to go cheap (cheap cheap like under $50 US cheap), Waffle suggested T5s might be higher lumens than the CFLs.

Of course, with the T5s there is a lot of wasted bulb length between the pots so I'm not sure on a $/kw basis I'm getting my money's worth.

I measured my existing fluorescent fixture and it's a 4 footer so I'll see what bulbs are available at HD this weekend.

No prob bro, shit I'll gift you a fem photo seed if you want to try one next year! I will update and close mine soon. I was thinking about starting a new thread for my new shed and planned grows for the winter. But right now I'm working 10 hours days then coming home and trimming until I fall asleep lol. So I haven't had much spare time at all. Here's a lil photo of the bag of autos I have here lol
