an 8x8 flood tray is just not in the budget, nor do i think its practical in the tent.

The removable waterproof floor insert is more than adequate to catch something like 200L of water i think the specs said.
 
Good afternoon, and welcome all who are following.

I have a small picture update of the White Widow i have in flower. Shes now on week 2, day 4, but the pictures were from last night during lights on.

Nothing really to report other than a res change tonight for the Widow, and shes really putting on the buds and starting to have a nice smell to her. I think it might be time to hook up the carbon filter very soon!

The Grow box is going to go into flower on Wednesday. The plants are getting to be about 9" tall in there and if i remember from last run, i let them veg a bit too long, got too tall, and grew too close to the glass. This time around, i will flower them a little bit earlier, so that they dont grow into the glass housing, and i will also let them go 10 weeks if needed, for the best quality smoke i can get, then the GWS strain is DONE! Not all that impressed with it so far, but maybe i need to run it in the big tent and let it have some space? we will see, maybe i will take a clone? I doubt it since i have about 15 GWS plants that are in seedling form right now that are going to grow in the Monster tent with all the space in the world! (at least all the space they can fight for in the tent hahaha)

I mentioned in my last update that the grow box will go into flower come wednesday, but just judging by how much the plants have grown over the last 48 hours, i dont think i have the space for them if i dont put them into Flower TONIGHT!!!

So, in about an hour, i'm going to turn off the grow box and switch out the MH bulbs for the HPS bulbs and hit the light rocker switch to the "12/12 Flowering" setting. This will turn the lights on from 9am to 9pm. The 18/6 time period is 6am lights on, 12am Midnight lights off

Everything is coming along very nicely. With the grow box being a good 2 weeks staggered behind the Widow in flower, i'm hoping that after drying and curing the Huge Widow, the grow box will be ready to harvest! in about 3 weeks i will put my widow clones into flower as well, which will bring another harvest approximately 3-4 weeks after i harvest the grow box.

I have 2 very healthy, very vigorous Girl Scout Cookie seedlings that i am very excited for. I will be starting a separate journal for these 2 plants because i feel they need to be front and centre in a journal, not sharing the spotlight with a ton of other plants!
 
If theres something good going around the local market, i might pick up an 1/8, just for the variety...

And might be getting a couple Purple Kush clones in the next couple weeks. Pretty sure its the Clone-only version of PK that i haven't seen around here in a couple years..

I think i got Variety covered! i think i said that cause all that you see around here is Kush this and Kush crossed with that, and i only have one Kush strain that i'm going to grow.

Like theres some really nice Pink Kush floating around my area here in BC that i'm waiting to get my hands on (a bag of it, not clones... i wish, would save me time from ordering and vegging a plant hahah)

But yea, i dont see myself buying any smoke for a really long time, unless something that would knock my socks off comes around, but chances are, i'll be growing it!!
 
By the way everyone,

The Widow is on day 12 now of flowering, and shes already starting to produce trichomes!!

last run in the grow box it took almost 4 weeks before it started to show any sort of frosting. Now, this time around, within 2 weeks i'm already seeing trichomes.

I'm going to attribute this to having much more watts than the grow box did during flower. Grow box was 2x400w bulbs, but each Widow i had in there, each only sat under 1 light.

This time around, the Widow is sitting under 1200w of HPS, and i think its very clear that its loving it!

I'm actually thinking of picking up one more strain specifically for the GF. for two reasons, its medicinal benefits, as well as the name... Dr. Who!!

She loves that damn show!
 
So at 9am, today, the HPS lights came on in the grow box after i swapped out the MH last night, and i've just taken a peek inside at all the plants, and i'm already seeing female calyxes and pistils from some of them.. WTF less than 24hrs into the 12/12 cycle and we have sex showing already!!

Needless to say, i am almost in shock i'm so surprised/excited. With the addition of the AC to the two rooms i have grows in, the temperatures have stayed in the 17-25C range with the odd day it gets really warm outside and it heats up the two rooms faster than the AC can cool it.

Also, to everyone following along, i am very pleased to announce a particular strain that i have been wanting to grow for almost a year now, is ready to transplant into a 4" square pot, and i will be starting a journal documenting my BC bud Depot's Girl Scout Cookies very soon!!

Today marks day 1 of flower for my Great white Shark (inbred) and my White Widow x Great White Shark cross. I expect them to flower for about 10 weeks for full trichome production and ripeness.

Kool on the fast flower.

Just put jock to bed as I was tucking her in and reading her bedtime story I noticed a pollen sak.

I had to cut off some exaust ducting to fit a small desk between two closets must have created a light leak. Gonna pull her out of closet and give a good up the skirt inspection.
 
I dont actually like that.. theres just no "dislike" option haha

Make sure that you snip it off with scissors, but MAKE SURE that you spray it down with water before and after so you dont have any pollen spread to any buds..

And i am very stoked on the fast flower! I have to be doing something right over here!

Hell Yeah!!! I'm so excited to make that my second grow! She is going to be so well loved.
 
Okay so its sort of day 14 of flowering for the White Widow, and i have to say, i am really looking forward to this plant being finished and having a sample of it. To be able to walk around and see all sides of the plant, is really nice compared to having to stick my head in the box and move plants out of the way.

She is starting to cake up in trichomes, and i expect this to be a real sticky harvest! I have a feeling that this particular plant will really live up to the White widow name and be just caked up!

I upped the N in her last reservoir change a couple days ago and the next day i noticed all the bud sites were nice and lush green again, rather than the light vibrant green that was coming in.

She is looking very happy i must say!
