Light degrades the THC in your buds and is terrible try a dark area with a osclating fan so long as your 65-75* and <60% rh you should be good and get a better dry bud

I did a goofy thing for the heck of it.
I had Carn2's leftover pot and carcass to recycle, and I wanted to up-pot Grapefruit Cut2, and I thought, hmm ... Carn2 loved this soil enough to produce 18 brix, so what if I just cut Carn2 outta there and popped GF2 in its place? I've read that undisturbed biota populations perform better than tilled ones, for instance, and the biota and soil must be in great tune already, with plenty of mycos on all the existing undisturbed roots of the same species.
So I have my nice serrated knife. I saw through the old rootball keeping a slight taper to accomodate the new rootball.
I pull the old one out.
I dig enough out of the sides to fit the new rootball.
I dust the hole with Roots.
Here's the new rootball.
Dust that down, too.
And I forgot to get a pic of the finished product, but if you use your imagination ...
So now I'll see if it works better or worse than new soil.
Nice idea, one of my friends swears by the no till approach. He uses huge pots though, probably 30 or so gallons. Just cuts out rootball, top dresses piles on the outside and transplants a new one in. Cool to try that, makes me wanna.
+reps for trying stuff
Graytail, great idea to keep used roots and make room for new root ball.
This is fantastic GT!!! I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out
Nice experiment.
I think it will turn fantastic as weed rarely uses all P & K in soil when grown indoor.
i once stuck a cutting into a hole where i had just ripped out a male. it rooted fantastically.
Can you get into detail about that technique? I'm like batting 0 for 100 in the clone department. I've tried nearly every technique mentioned here on 420.i once stuck a cutting into a hole where i had just ripped out a male. it rooted fantastically.

Also Gray, can you show the roots of the solo cup 2 week plus old clones? I have a cutting that's been in a cup of water for over 5 weeks and still has no roots but it was taken during flowering & is from my mutant. It's still healthy.
