Graytail's Cupwinners in High Brix Soil - 4x4 - 600W HPS - Perpetual

I just put SWD on my list! :cheesygrinsmiley: Jack Herer x Blueberry sounds good, even without watching your spectacular specimen blossom. :thumb:

Outstanding news, I'll PM you what I know of her, when you get her going. I'm ordering more as well, and will be building a semi-automatic-mother-box for the best one. I'm not sure what that is yet, but I'll know when I build it.
Thanks for being such a positive presence in my journals, you're the best GT! :thanks::peace:

Here's what Graytail's clown car looks like today: :laughtwo:

Back row, L-R ... Carn2, Grapefruit, PanaSeed
Middle row ... Carn1 and WP2
Front row ... SLH2 and Carnival

DSCN4479.JPG

Carnival is getting pretty sticky and quite aromatic - a very sweet, distinctive smell. I went back and read the strain description again and I hope it ends up being interesting. It's billed as a cross between a Haze and a mostly sativa with a 23%+ THC level, and it's easily going to finish in 9 weeks from the flip - a nice quick one. I'm "rooting" for it to smoke right - we'll see - I took another test branch today. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Cool to see your setup. Up until now, I thought you were growing in a clown car.....cause plants just keep piling out, and no one knows how! :scratchinghead:

:rofl::blunt: thanks for this careStaker has me laughing!

.....what else can be said other than what has been said over and over here due to the updates being so damn great......ummm........Looks flip-tasticly-su-perbliciously-srumdillyumptious (disclaimer yes im super medicated right now:)

:amen:

The test branch of Carnival was very encouraging. This plant cloned well, so I ended up running 2 more clones, with another in a solo cup now. It would be especially convenient if it turns out to be something I like. This was a spindly lower branch with a few buds on it, and ya, this feels like 20%+ pot. :grinjoint:

It's nice and punchy, a good clean high, very conversational, with an easy comfortable wind-down. I'm really ignorant of cannabis aromas - this one has a berry sort of aroma, like raspberry - raspberry diesel? It'll take some more testing, but I like it so far.

I was going to chop it on Sunday but it's still making some calyxes and it's very sativa, so I may let it go a little longer.

Another week has gone by and things have developed nicely in the garden. :slide:

Carnival is with the program, swelling up beautifully, making gorgeous sparkly new calyxes, so I didn't chop her yesterday. The plan is now Wednesday, but I just may let 'er ride. I took another lower branch for testing. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Carnival - 122 days old - 59 days 12/12 - 50 since pistils - brix 11/12

Grapefruit continues to look mousy and pathetic, all limp and funny colored with low brix, but those colas are going to be interesting. It may not turn out to be snob-quality smoke, but it'll tell me whether I like the strain or not.

Grapefruit - 123 days old - 48 days 12/12 - 37 days since pistils - brix 9/10

WP2 looks great! .... Again! ... what a great strain this is to grow!

SLH2 is coming along, a few weeks into flower.

Carn1 will be the biggest yielder of the three I have growing - she big. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Carn2 is just barely showing pistils, still stretching, but it looks like she'll be smaller than her sister. This is another strain with a great growth habit - very nice.

PanaSeed is a couple days behind Carn2 - probably show pistils by Wednesday or so. Interesting leaf shape in this one.

Green Love Potion is almost ready for flower. She'll replace Carnival. This is an indica leaning pheno so far - very strong, non-pliable stems. I broke off one of her apical tops when I fiddled with it, and then another branch snapped on me - gotta be more careful with this one.

Graytail, theyre REAL, and theyre spectacular!!!

LOL, thanks! (I hope the dooz didn't end up feeling unwelcome ... I was jus' sayin ... :cheesygrinsmiley:)

Gt,

Is there a typical pattern to the brix readings through the plants life cycle in your experience? If a plant brixes 12 in late veg would you have an expectation or prediction for how it will read near harvest?

appreciate you thoughts

ludweed

There should be a rise in brix as the plants come out of veg and begin to form flowers. 12 is a typical reading for a vegging plant, sometimes higher, but the number a plant reaches by harvest doesn't really depend on that - other factors are in play. I believe some strains naturally produce higher brix, for instance. The best prediction I could make for a plant that reads 12 in veg is that the soil is healthy and if nothing changes it should turn out very well. :cheesygrinsmiley:

For the time being, my brix is really unstable - I got a problem somewhere.

Some big ones this round! You betta get more jars bro. :)

LOL, I still have a few quart jars left from my second dozen. I stopped buying the fancy larger ones after I filled up the first 8 of 'em.
