Graytail's Cupwinners in High Brix Soil - 4x4 - 600W HPS - Perpetual

Happy 420 Graytail!

Carnival yielded 80 grams, 2.82 ounces over 125 days = 0.640 grams/day. Not bad! :slide:

It's nice and potent with a clear buzzy buzz - yum! It's a mystery Haze crossed with a sativa dom, and the breeders (Ministry of Cannabis) did a great job! This is a new favorite, better than White Panther and a perfect alternative to the more fuzzy Jamaican Dream.

I'll get the pics for the weekly update posted later today. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Nice Gray... I did a 420 harvest myself..:passitleft:...:circle-of-love:

I know!!! And you've been ahummin' and afloatin' ever since, eh? :cheertwo::Namaste:

Gratz on the harvest GT, she's another fine specimen - a carnival of trichs and pistols.
You like her for daytime? Low lethargy?

I LIKE 'er for daytime! Yes! I've been searching for a clear smooth buzz and this is the best I've gotten from a well-behaved hybrid. The Utopia Haze is absolutely amazing, but I have to hoard that until I can grow more, and it's just not an indoor stain - tricky to grow I think. Tangerine Dream is weak and tempermental to grow. SLH is jus' too disorienting for me. I love my Jamaican Dream, but she's never an ambitious companion - we jus' like to hang around when we're together. Carnival makes me itchy to go do something - that's a good thing for a loadie. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The sample I took of my SBR is like that and honestly I don't think I have ever smoked anything like it. I was stoned to the bone but actually got more done that day than I normally do in 3 and it relaxed my muscles to the point of being able to do a lot of yard work that day. The one I chopped yesterday is pure and simple couch lock so it will be nice once I chop the SBR and have them both. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood....:circle-of-love:

Perpetually, congratulations Gray.

Nice, Gray! A tame relatively quick finishing sativa dom that is a walk-in-the-park to grow... Carnival is a winner!

And not just a sativa dom, but a clean clear one. I've been hunting, and nothing has been this good. Lucky me also started three Carnival clones, one finishing in five weeks. :yahoo::high-five:

Perpetually, congratulations Gray.

Thank you, Reg - always nice to see you here, and thanks for the reps!

Some fortuitous cloning.... The 0.64 gpd is giving everything else a run for the money. Wasn't the Utopia down in the 0.4 gpd range? Thanks for growing the Carnival out and showing us.

I can't say that I'm all that happy with the way my garden is growing. Brix continues to drop across the board, even as the youngsters look as good as any I've had. The soil bin continues to digest everything I throw at it. There are a couple of approaches I can take. One is to reduce my Energy usage - brix suffers with too much nitrate. The other is to follow Curso's path and add fresh Pro-Mix, especially now that it's readily available for the season. I'll probably add the Pro-Mix in any case. The nitrates are a puzzle. My finishing plants, WP2 and SLH2 are both yellowing rather dramatically after the Cat drench, which might mean that I didn't have a lot available. Would excess nitrate cause a reduction in available cationic nutrients? And how long does it take a plant to consume excess nitrate? My Grapefruit is still too green 6 weeks after the three successive Energy feedings. If my soil has excess nitrate, then I should substitute water for the Energy feedings until I see brix rise ... I think ...

Grapefruit has been packing on the trichs, and is starting to get a little color in her cheeks. I think she's basically finished, but I'm going to let her go until this weekend. I can't get her brix to rise, stuck at 9/10, but the whiteflies seem to be leaving her alone. The trichs have started creeping out onto her fans ...

Next up will be WP2 and SLH2 both due in about five weeks. I don't think either one will be a standout, although it'll be nice to see a SLH that went full term in HB soil. I think WP2 will yield less than WP1 and will probably be lower brix, unless I can get a handle on things. WP2 is yellowing really early and fast.

I think I put Green Love Potion into 12/12 a little early, but I wanted to get it finished before it gets hot this summer. The topping/training went well.

I have two seedlings, a Carnival cut and a freebie White Widow x Skunk#1. I also popped an Afghan Kush, but it dried up right after it sprouted, dunno why.

I also found some seeds in my Carnival, which I think were pollinated by my hermie Cotton Candy, so I may just pop that in soil and see what I get. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Great update.

Hell, Utopia Haze was 0.272! Tangerine Dream wasn't much better at 0.394. My overall average for 23 plants including hermies and clunkers is 0.541.

Graytail, did u budwash the Carnival? :)

I've washed every harvest without fail. :rocker: I've smoked unwashed test buds, so I know the difference. I always wash my test buds now, too. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Graytail, are you foliar spraying anything? Also, are you using and mycos/compost teas?

I use all of the stuff in Doc's kit, DrZiggy. They get Brix once a week and De-stress every 4-6 days, depending. I haven't done any teas, but I keep saying I'm going to. That would probably help to kick-start my soil biota. I dust the roots with mycos at every transplant. I did try an extra Tea feeding from the kit, but it made no difference.

You're going to have a hard time getting more biota in the soil than what you have in the kit. You need to be careful if you brew a tea...you don't really want trichoderma if you can avoid it. We're all VAM now.

My new "Roots" product is tweaked for MJ....more magnesium and organic plant food along with the rock powders, trace minerals, etc. It is VERY strong with regard to myco.....Curso will attest to this.....our soil can digest leaves in a week if everything is cooking right.

:cough:blasphemy :):):):):yummy:

 Looking Amazeballs! Cotton Carnival sounds like a beast. Awesome that you did the legwork, finding a clear sativa that doesn't suck to grow - there will be a pack of Carnival, in my next bean order.

I'm digging my WiddowSkunks, hope you get similar phenos, they're spastic brats - but heartable. Grapefruit looks delish! GLP looks like she'll do well, even with the early push, she Thick. I just enjoyed some of the cured stuff, and it kicks so nicely. :) :peace:
