Graytail's Cupwinners in High Brix Soil - 4x4 - 600W HPS - Perpetual

Graytsil, has docbud seen your grapefruit? He might be able to suggest something for you.

I haven't asked. Clearly, the biota ain' happy. :cheesygrinsmiley: But I've seen this before with a couple other plants, and when it finally does hook up, it does really well with all those undigested minerals. I'm not sure what could be done without testing the soil, although this would be the perfect time for a well-designed ACT, I suppose. I gotta get started with teas and learn how they work.

LOL, yeah everyone says a successful reveg becomes a beast - they ain' lyin'.

How many days on that reveg, Gray? Was there a transplant, or is it still in the original soil?

I harvested it the first time at 87 days and it's 270 days as of the last pics. I cut the rootball down to a 6 inch cube and repotted it into 6 gallons of high brix soil at around 160 days - it was in mineralized the first time. It went back into 12/12 at 197 days.

First harvest was 2.4oz - I'm expecting 3.5+ the second time. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I like it - gonna do it again with my JD4.

Dennise, what light are you now getting? Inquiring minds are... Nosey

I got another 48x3w for the closet. I think it needs a little more and if the Mars II is to much for the tent I can swap them out and put the 5w in the closet for extra lighting and put the 3 w in the tent. Going to bend the girl in the tent a bit first and try to keep the mars in there. Any who got a real good deal on it so figured it would come in handy somewhere....:circle-of-love:

Down memory lane...

LOL. Is Laverne going to get a second reveg, BAR? Can that be done? Or, should I make sure I have an extra box of tissues around when you chop her in a couple of weeks?

Go, Laverne! :headbang:
LOL... Gray, I'll be looking for your guidance soon when I'm ready to DOUBLE Re-Veg her. I think it'll be time for a transplant & whatever else you decide we do.

Sheesh, we can do that? A third run? LOL, worth a try, although not for this SLH. I have another one right behind her.

I definitely believe it's a good idea to prune the roots back and repot into good rich soil when it's far enough into reveg to produce clonable shoots. That was a perfect time for mine - enough energy and growth hormones to withstand the pruning.

The other thing that concerns me are the stems. PeeJay, does the woodiness of the stem affect hardiness and new growth at the branch tips? I have a lot of very thin stems branching from the hard woody old stumps. Can they pass nutrients properly?

i wanst around for the start of the reveg but seeing her from the first harvest to now is extremely cool to say the least!! + rep

I have no idea, Gray. Perennials send out strong growth from woody stems when they get cut back year after year. We know from observation that a revenged cannabis plant produces smaller leaves and buds, generally, than the first go. We also know there is crazy branching so the result is more smaller buds. You won't get the most photogenic product but you'll get lots of it. It will be fun to see what happens on a second reveg attempt. I'm not sure what will happen but it will be fun to see if Reg keeps the Lavern love alive.

Hi Graytail, I had time so I read through this amazing thread. Hope you don't mind me subscribing here, there is some serious stuff here that I'd like to gain a little experience from. Man, all of those plants look awesome.

Hey, SABO, good to see you here! :welcome:

Heheh, it's probably been awhile since someone read through the whole thing - thank you. I did that for a couple dozen threads when I first got here - it gets tedious. :cheesygrinsmiley: But it saved me from fumbling around too much.

I have some fun harvests coming up! In fact, I think I'll chop JD4 tomorrow. Actually, harvest is a better term - gonna reveg it - gotta be gentle.

Found another old pic of SLH Reveg at 183 days old.

Gray's journal is one of my all-time favorites, SABO. He is just a guy growing for himself. There isn't ever any attitude. He keeps great records and answers questions well. If it was up to me there would be, at the least, a member of the month under his name. Oh, and the porn is outstanding - always!
