Graytail's 4th Perpetual: 4x4 Samsung Panels

The Zam x Pan is a cross I made and they all seem to be fairly fast. The male seems to have been a fast finisher. They seem to be finishing in the 9-11 week range. It will stretch about 300% though, so be prepared for long internodes and floppy branches.
Thanks so much for the info and the creation of this great strain!!!

You're welcome. I like spreading around the seeds and seeing them grow.

Ace has made that cross as well, (it's in test), but I'm pretty sure they used their elite Panama mother, which should up the frostiness and bulk over my cross. Dubi does an excellent job with parental selections.

Awesome update graytail! Those plants must love to be neglected because they are producing some frosty buds! The variety you have is amazing. Have you grown that GojiPupil before? She really looks potent! I'm growing a Zamaldelica x Panama from Sweetsue that is a shorter flowering sativa it seems and im new to sativa's so I'm definitely excited. Might have to consider some Ace seeds for some more unique sativa's because she's smelling super lemony!

GojiPupil is a test strain so far, so there isn't any history for it. I'm interested to see how the Goji part comes out. I've only had Himalayan once before, in a Kerala, and that was unimpressive.

Looking pretty good for being neglected. The Gojipupil should be some top shelf nugs!

Thanks Penny! There is something to the idea that stress causes increased trich growth. I'd rather have healthy pretty plants, though.

You're handling the low humidity well Gray, the Bubba really does well in a dry environment. I'm fighting low RH like everyone else but my Bubba took it like a champ and looks to be the best run yet with it.

Who is the Y Griega from? I'd like to run that someday.

Bubba always seems to grow the same, no matter the conditions - amazing pheno!

Y Griega is from Medical Seeds - Amnesia (a SSH pheno) x Kali Mist (original). The Kali came through strongly in the one I ran before. :slide: I like the old Kali Mist!

Excellent update Gray - something for everyone in all departments :ganjamon::thumb:

What sized pot is that rangey carnival in?

Carnival is in a standard square 6 gallon pot. It looks like it's a bit smaller than the last one, which yielded 120+ grams.
I'm lovin' that GojiPupil, Bro! :welldone:
What's she smell like? :yummy:

I just bruised some GojiPupil and the scent is rather typical which surprised me - thought it would be more berry from the look of it.

Great update! Everything looking great despite the low rh you're dealing with. Even that destroyer doesn't look that bad, leaves not Crisping up on her. Looking forward to seeing the Goji all trimmed and dried.

:bravo:

Yeah, that damned Destroyer. First I overtrained it, then the leaves clawed and the pot was heavy, so I withheld water, and then a bunch of lower fans dried and fell off while they were green ... I don' know what the hell she wants.

Very nice Gray, yes... a bit more ragged than usual but overall i'd say they look good! So frosty, as you say we are growing trichs here!
That destroyer does not look too happy... but at least the leaves are all still green at this point. Wish I could give some pointers... but you know far more than me when it come to this stuff.
And man... that variety...

Thanks Daj. I do have quite a variety this round. :) I've been gingerly exploring indicas, and this Black Domina cross should be distinctly different than what I'm used to. I have hopes for GojiPupil and I have a StarPupil started ... got a Kalashnikov and RedDiesel on deck ...

:slide::bongrip:

Evenin to ya Gray...haven't been around, keep losing touch ...
Hope you are well my friend.:high-five:

Ya,I've been bad about speaking up too.:) I read everything but I don't necessarily pipe up.

I've been struggling with the seasonal blues but other than that things are as good as they should be I guess. :D

A warm humid breeze in my face and the sound of slapping leaves would be helpful...

Ah well, there's still some charm in howling blizzards. They OWN cozy. Ain' nuthin' cozier. :slide:

Have you ran Ace's Kali China? It uses the old Kali mist.

Even as raggedy as you feel like your grow is, you still have nice looking plants Gray.

Tanks Morglie. :)

I've read Ace's description over and over and something about it... I just never pull the trigger. :hmmmm:

And... there are even more strains to try.

I ran the Kali China. According to their test results the keeper is a 20+% strain. Mine was nowhere near that. I tested it and I think it was around 12%. The buzz was very nice though. It was an all over buzz that left you feeling very content and happy. The plant looked prehistoric according to the wife. It was supposed to be compact and have more indica growth patterns and mine tried to grow out of the tent. I'd like to grow it again and see what else comes out. The Kali China crosses are getting great reviews. I know the Thai Chi is at the top of my list of favorite ACE strains.

The most prehistoric-looking plant I grow is DDA with those improbably leathery-black leaves covered in red-stalked trichomes. Graytail, you owe it to yourself to grow one someday. It's by far the tastiest plant on my menu. My last harvest fills the air with the snap of lime every time I crack the jar open.

The DDA beez harvested recently had a sweetly-fermenting fruitiness I'd never found in my own or anyone else's.

Gray.... this is probably the most difficult journal to catch up on. The photos and smoke reports are often heart-stopping. You do grow them pretty, my friend, and I can only imagine the heady experience of opening the door and walking into the wall of perfume. :slide:

All this traveling and sampling I get to do, and delightful as all of it has been it all never fills the void left by the absence of Carnival at my disposal. I'm still trying to get mine to perform at the level of yours. Lol! Best plant you introduced me to. :battingeyelashes:

I can't tell you how much it warms my heart to watch DC come closer and closer to a stable chemovar. :circle-of-love:

My purple DevilsCarnivals had that sweetly fermenting aroma, like mulled plums. And the green ones were lime. :slide: I popped another one and put it in dirt yesterday.

Mulled plums...... that's close to what I'm smelling at this very moment. There's something particularly delicious about fresh buddage, isn't there? :battingeyelashes:

Gray.... I haven't smoked this much since Jamaica. Lol! It's pretty much non-stop coming into the end of this visit, but I think I'll have sampled more sativas in the last three weeks than I thought possible. Lol! I'll need some down time when I get back to the Gulf.
