Graytail's 3rd: 4x4, HiBrix, Latest LED Tech, Lots Of Light!

Shoot Gray, I wouldn't of thought you could get any better but here you are turning it up a notch!
:high-five:

By the way, I'm just about ready to start the side by side run of PJ's Organic Soil Mix & Doc's Kit. As soon as I order the Promix I'll be calling on your assistance.

BAR you are 30 days out - kit soil needs 4 weeks cooking time...:)

Man... all your girls have such nice, even, flat-top canopies. I shoot for that goal but often miss the target. Jealous.

He taught me to do it my first try out Tead. If he can teach me, you certainly can catch this. It was easy. So easy.

Destroyer was from CannaBiogen. Mine was a fem, but they're out of that batch now. They still have regulars, though. :cheesygrinsmiley:

As soon as the fems are back in stock, I'll be picking up some more. It was an amazing strain and pheno! I hope the next batch measures up. :slide:

I've been smoking some little budlets from the good DrGrinspoon and I have to say ... :thumb:

I'm surprised at its potency, for one thing. I had a little taste earlier in the day, but I had already been smoking, so it didn't make a real impression. I noticed that the high was clear and clean, and now that I've had a chance to study it more, it's also very firm. It actually reminds me of Carnival. :cheesygrinsmiley: This may be a keeper. I'll do a better review when it's dried and jarred.

Oooooo.... another keeper. Senses went on alert there Graytail. I'll watch for your future report. That's a really beautiful picture of that bud on the tray. You know my weakness for a great shot. :battingeyelashes:

Looks really smooth, Gray :tokin:

Very nice GT! How long did she flower for? Sorry if you already said.

You have some great looking buds there.

I had the impression that Dr. Grinspoon has multiple phenotypes - is that true?

Looks really smooth, Gray :tokin:

Yep look worth of some more study :ganjamon:
....think I should study some more myself :volcano-smiley:

Looks like Jack Frost hit you too Gray, those are some frosty buds!

Now I'm not worried about tossing the Dr. Grinspoon seeds I have in the soil; that plant looks manageable, unlike the one in the ad (which is what I was hoping for when I got them).

:thanks: Thanks y'all!

I definitely wanted to run DrGrinspoon because of those pictures of that funky pheno, but I wasn't sure I really wanted a harvest of swollen beads on a stem. :laughtwo::hmmm: But also ... those genetics! As it turned out I ended up with a perfectly normal growth habit. The only plant I've seen on 420Mag with that weird habit was DrZiggy's White Widow. Sptiz's DrG was similar to mine, too - no beads on a stick - just a normal looking hybrid-like habit. So I dunno - is the odd habit just more prevalent in DrG? Or is it simply a great marketing picture? :laughtwo: If you read between the lines of the genetics, it looks like DrG is probably the funky bead pheno of Senor Garcia.

But also ... those genetics! Highland Oxacan Gold x Chocolate Thai x Panama Red? :laughtwo: Um, sure, I'll have some!

And it looks like it's a winna! :yahoo: I'm impressed! I'm reminded of that first review on s'finder where the guy says he wasn't really expecting much, but wow. Moi aussi. The potency is listed as ~25% but yadda yadda, heard that before. I'm really glad I have another one in bloom and a third in early veg. I'm hitting on it now and after just three hits so far, I'm feelin' pretty ripped. :laughtwo: Nice high, too, very nice!

It appears that there are still a few phenos in the strain. As I recall, Spitz had a stretchier one, but still not at all unusual to work with - not a fluffy thing. I ran this one 12.5 weeks in bloom, and took it just as pistils were browning.

... three hits and I forgot about the fourth sitting unlit in the pipe - that's usually a good sign ... :slide: :bongrip: ...

GT, great job!! :bravo:

Is it possible that with the kit, the less probable, recessive phenotypes, manifest its greater potential? I've been getting weird phenos since I starting using it. :) True, i use smaller pots, play with the kits ingredients, etc...fun!!! :all good: -Even more so now with the 10.5/13.5 schedule.

:) mixed some Golden Tiger and Panama :thumb:
going to add some Purple Haze to that mix...
and if I remember, some Zamal. :)

What a delightful madman Ziggy. :laughtwo:

Graytail, your last comment sold it. If one can forget the loaded hit, you've got a keeper. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The common wisdom is that the Kit "brings out sativa traits" but beyond that, I don't think any of us have pinpointed it yet. You and I have probably run more strains than any other HB grower that I know of, and I haven't seen the more remarkable things you have, but as you say, you tinker around with the schedule more than I do. :cheesygrinsmiley: The one odd thing that stands out in my experience is that Orange Hill Special I ran. The mother from seed grew fat leaves with tight nodes - the first clone had thin leaves and longer nodes. :hmmmm: Same plant, literally. They were both in HB. What's that term for gene switches, where the offspring turn on genes that adapt to the current environment? It had to be something like that. The cut came from the lowest side branches, so it was part of the mother that had the original habit. Then both the mother and that cut grew progressively more sativa-like, the mother during her lifetime and the clone from the outset. Very odd to watch.

My cuts in cups aren't doing well in this low humidity, so I'm going to start a bunch of seeds. Golden Tiger and Purple Haze are on the list, along with Caribe and a Purple Panama. :slide:

:slide: Envy.

This is going to be so freaking difficult, not growing at all for two months.
