Currently I'm a little over 3 weeks flowering. I vegd for a little over 2 weeks or so. It was about less than a foot when I switched to 11/13. Currently Its a little over 2 feet with many branches, and flowering nicely. Its in a 3 GAL pot. I'm using Roots Organic soil, and a little Advanced Nutrients GROW, under the Platinum LED p450w. She looks like she does not need ANY nutrients yet, but I hit her a couple times with some Cal/Mag and a little grow nutes. Afterwards, I saw a little nute burn...So I will probably not try to feed anymore for several weeks or so.

I seem to have a short Thai phenol. I think I have the 2015 Fem seeds. Supposed to be more THAI phenos.

Here is how it looks at 6 days old.

also, the growing suggestions on the sativas from ACE usually say use lower than usual nitrogen.

Yes, keep the nitrates very low after mid veg, which means keep your HB soil free of them after they take off. You're gonna be able to control the stretch that way and you won't have any surprises in taste department

I had to try a long-shot experiment ...

I was checking my rooting cups and saw some roots in the bottom, and they turned out to be from the rotted soggy remains of a little cutting. So I thought, hm ... ... I wonder if those roots would grow a shoot. So Ima gonna find out.

And say goodbye to Carnival - she's goin' down today - an icky sticky reeky thing, she is.

I immediately pulled out my flow sheet. At the end of this next week mine will be at day 136, so I stand a chance of really getting her full term Graytail. Mine looks so squatty next to yours. It takes all that light to get that lovely stretch, obviously. I don't think mine stretched at all. But she's a lovely compact cousin to your elegant, long-stemmed beauty.

Congrats on the harvest of a true beauty. Thanks for having the foresight to run right ahead of me so I could watch so closely. That was really sweet of you, my friend.

I can see some variation in the Carnival phenos, but so far they've all been exceptional! CarnivalB will be my 3rd pheno and I can see a difference between this one (CarnivalA) and the B. The B is more like yours, SweetSue - much more compact.

But yes, I'm also finally getting obvious differences in the plants under these lights. These colas from Carnival were heavy. I've cut and trimmed and washed an awful lot of these suckers so I'm getting a sense of density (heheh, aren't words fun?). These felt all weighty and meaty in my palm. I'll know better in a few days when it's dried, but I'm pretty sure I'm finally getting some of those dense buds everyone talks about.

That thing in bloom seems to don't stretch at all and has node on node.

Its a bad pic but the 2 bigger in 7gal are Carnival going in bloom in 1 week.

Other 2 are cut down mothers I give 2 weeks.

My Panama gave me 3oz of great weed but she needed longer than expected so she got an 3,5 week flush.
That stuff is strong and taste even stronger.

It'll be nice to see a few more examples of Carnival. I've been sampling and whew! it's got a punch to it! It's been awhile since I had fresh smoke - my stash is several months old. I think this is one of those undiscovered gems, a really great strain. It's still my goto strain. I like a fruitier taste or a thicker buzz, but I always return to Carnival.

And Panama is pretty special, too. I pulled my jar out a couple weeks ago and tried some after a few months of being sealed up and I swear it had an even bigger kick - a thick sensory hum.

It's time for another update!

Carnival is almost dried and I've been smoking the early sweet budlets and this stuff kicks my butt. It's gotta be 20%+ THC. I'm so pleased! I only ran the one plant and then 8 clones and I didn't really know if it was characteristic of the strain. It is! I can't wait to hear what y'all think of yours when they're ready. I absolutely love this strain!

Next up will be Tikal1. This will probably be the best plant of the three Tikals I will have grown. It's far more fragrant than the first one - heavy heavy strawberry - and it's going to yield more. I need to find a healthy leaf for a brix test ... it looks pretty good for the last week of its life.

Tikal1 - 161 days old - 83 days 12/12 - 71 since pistils

Channel+ continues to be virtually effortless. We're just a week away from chop and she's nearly ideal. This is going to be a nice harvest.

Channel+ - 138 days old - 54 days 12/12 - 44 since pistils

DrGrinspoon is at 10 weeks and still working at it. I have her scheduled for another two weeks. The colas are going to be nice - fat and frosty.

DrGrinspoon - 142 days old - 70 days 12/12 - 60 since pistils

Y Griega has been sitting in a back corner and I skipped last week so I really haven't had a good look at her in two weeks. I'm surprised at how much frost she's producing already. She just finished her second Cat yesterday so we'll see what she can do with that.

Y Griega - 136 days old - 54 days 12/12 - 44 since pistils

Here's Rio1, in bloom for three weeks now. Nice pheno, nice strain.

Rio1 - 103 days old - 21 days 12/12 - 11 since pistils

CarnivalB is going to be a stockier pheno than CarnivalA. I have a cut if this one and I'll veg it longer next time. I'm impressed with the thick stems - I'd like to grow a bigger one.

CarnivalB - 99 days old - 14 days 12/12 - 4 since pistils

Grin1 grew up kinda fast so I stuck her in bloom earlier than I had planned. I still have Taskenti, Rio2 and Y Griega1 plumping up in the veg room.

I've gotten a little backed up in veg which isn't an entirely bad thing. I have a plant to put into bloom every time I chop one and they're doing well while they wait.

Taskenti was scheduled to go into bloom over a week ago but I'm going to keep fattening her up as long as she doesn't try to bolt. This will be my first indica so I'm playing it by ear. Rio2 is also overdue but again, she's been behaving so that's not all bad.

Taskenti - 79 days old, in the white pot and Rio2 - 103 days old, in the fabric pot

Here's newly potted Chan1 at 55 days old, and Grieg1 at 74 days old

Freddy's Best at 62 days old, and Rio3 at 20 days old

Down in front, a CarnB cut at 30 days old
