Graytail's 3rd: 4x4, HiBrix, Latest LED Tech, Lots Of Light!

Yeah,me too. I know why tho, toooo many good reads around here, start/finish reading one journal and find 2more.

I hope youre ready to jump into the next journal without an extened break? Give me the chance to follow along and learn from the beginning?:Namaste:

LOL, thanks, both of you. I always groan when I find a 50+ page journal I want to keep up with. :laughtwo: I'm afraid all my pictures will start to blur together after awhile, though.

:thanks:

Pictures are always nice, but honestly...i can see pictures anywhere.
Its the ever valuable text that i wish i had time to read. Im sure theres an assload of knowledge to be gained, calling my name, beggig me to read. I did go back, finished page 2 and 3. Smoke break!

I just smoked my first buds this afternoon, and now that I'm home, I smoked a few pipes for a fresh buzz. My first impression is that it's a lot stronger than I thought it'd be. Utopia Haze is no lightweight but it's not as strong as Carnival for instance. And Buddha Haze wasn't remarkable 'cause she hermied before she had a chance to finish. But this cross has a solid punch! I've been smoking the Rio (Carn x UH) and I think this may be stronger. :cheesygrinsmiley:

And I think it's primarily Brazilian with the typical spiritual high. :yahoo: The aroma is ... there's a characteristic aroma that the old Colombian sativas had, that I seldom see described. It's hard to put a finger on - a light tingling scent, the kind a light lubricating oil might have. I've called it sandalwood, but this has a citrus topnote too. Fresh cut oiled wood, with a bowl of cut limes on top? :hmmmm:

Mostly, I'm startled at the punch it has. My head's still thrumming ...

Better have another pipe. :cheesygrinsmiley:

[Edit] Now I'm getting a mild floral taste ... this one has my attention - gonna watch the terps develop. Or maybe it was the grapes. Has anyone had those Holiday grapes in the stores now? Big crunchy seedless red grapes? Holy crap that's a fine grape! I discovered them a few years ago but last year's crop must have been a bust, 'cause they only had a few and they were gone. This year they're spectacular again.

... might be a munchy buzz associated with this strain ... :hmmmm::laughtwo:

I also tried to pinpoint this particular composition in my CPR, it's definitely incensey and some call old school Colombian Gold smell frankincense. The problem is I don't remember how frankincense smells, but it might be in the ballpark. Great growing!

Lol like I told sue.... when I get to a journal that's like that with 100 pages and going 4 or 5 a day.... I am like a kid who can't read I just flip through and look at the pics lol

This is why I've decided on one open journal for the outdoor season and seed soak to smoke report journals on the indoor stuff. "Just the facts" journals with the whole thing right up front. Pics from day 0 to cured buds all posted at once. You'll be able to read the entire grow with all details in a half hour tops.

I have 3 different strains going right now. Two going for the last month and one started today. And more to come. So it was either one jumbled journal of everything, three separate 'live' journals or three separate JTF journals and more time to look at everybody's pics and try to keep up with some hyperactive threads.

JTF's for the win!

I know, mine runs so fast some days it looses me! :laughtwo: I keep considering doing some sort of reference page for all the info in there, but that hasn't materialized. I just decided to stop trying to fight it and roll with the tide. I'm sure glad you guys care enough to at least, browse through the pretty pictures. :battingeyelashes:

I think you do my favorite smoke reports Graytail. It's that intimate relationship with the language. Well done, considering how stoned you were. :laughtwo: It's a few hours later, my friend. How'd it hold?

Thanks, Sweetie. :cheesygrinsmiley: It's a typical clean sativa high - no crash, just a slow fade. :slide: I'll get to know it better over the next weeks. :blunt:

I like that slow fade. One of the nicest things, aside from that sweet floating feeling I always have, like my feet are barely touching the ground. Do you ever feel like that?

Just wanted to let the HBers know that Flowerfarmer has a new journal up ...

In my 20s I once got so stoned that I couldn't feel my feet when I got in the car to drive home. :laughtwo: I walked to the car and sat down alright but I couldn't feel the pedals. Had to sit there awhile until the rush passed.

 Ahhhh..... Something to aspire to. :laughtwo:

I went and smelled my vintage 1979 Columbian Gold joint - it smells like the plastic tube it has been stored in for 36 years:rofl:

I smelled two frankincense incense samples, and they smelled plasticy and soapy. I didn't find pure francincense resin. to my memory it is not plastic smelling, but is soapy.

I then went to Copal Negro (black) resin - much less soapy but still there but added notes of light kerosene/pine tang.

I then smelled Copal Oro (sun colored) resin - no soap, light oil/pine tang.

My memoy of Columbian Gold (unburnt) is close to the smell of Copal Oro resin.
Burning Colombian Gold just smells like weed to me :)

You know yesterday we were browsing for some stuff in a local appliances supermarket and we got into this whole stand of Yankee Candles with 125 flavors or more and there it was... frankincense. So I smelled it right away and it came pretty close although had more piney spike to it. So I can side here as much as you can do it after Yankee Candle experience :bong:

Looking forward to seeing that Golden Tiger!! The one I'm growing took almost 3 weeks to show pistils! I think there is a difference in the 2015 FEM GT and previous versions. 2015 is supposed to show more Thai expressions!! We will see!!
