Graytail's 3rd: 4x4, HiBrix, Latest LED Tech, Lots Of Light!

Gray... what kind of H2O ya using for cloning...RO, distilled...? Tap? Thanks..

It's just RO water straight from my buckets. I've been mixing in about 1/4 filtered tap water for the extra minerals, but I don't use anything special for the cups.

Much thanks pal...i may take a few cuttings of these Zamal H's. when the time comes. Been pondering having two or three in veg. ...in the corner of my shop (where i start them). Have to do a little better job of isolating it , etc. It would give me a huge head start on future crops. A few challenges with it though. Anyhow, your method of just a cup of water, pinch of "roots", and NO stress, appeals to me. Have an awesome Sunday Gray and Gang! :circle-of-love:

Essential Mineral Electrolytes for Water | Watermins EMDROPS

Are you familiar with mineral additive products for RO water like this one?

I don't know how true it is, but apparently drinking RO water is not ideal because it will actually suck the salt out of your body because it has no salt or minerals of its own.

I topped the plants in my next run. Just for the heck of it, I threw a couple of tops in a bottle of water. I'll be damned if they didn't start growing roots after just a few days! This worked as well (or better) for me than the usual bubble cloner. Thanks Gray!

I've been a bit of a supplements nut for most of my life, mostly mega vitamins and chelated minerals, so yes, I have no fondness for RO drinking water. :cheesygrinsmiley: I'm not familiar with the stuff you linked, though. Mineral supplementation is tricky - it usually doesn't get absorbed well, so it has to be bound to a carrier molecule. :Namaste:

I can tell you well water works, mine does at least. PH neutral and about 70ppm. Earlier this year I kept a couple male cuttings for a month in a cup. Both rooted much the same as you see in GT's pics.

It's working pretty damned well for me right now, too! :slide:

The Y Griega cuts took Really well - 11 days in the cup

The Carnivals are running a bit behind - same 11 days
DSCN8717.JPG

These are kinda cool. Three days ago they ran completely dry. Dry. Limp. Shriveled. So I poured another couple inches in there and the next day they looked better, and now they're not bad at all. Go figure, eh?

And that top from Carnival I took 31 days ago finally is making some root nubs. :laughtwo:

I'll have another update posted in a couple hours. :slide:

Wow Graytail! Not only are they rooting for you but the leaves look fabulously healthy in those earlier shots. I have to ask, doesn't this feel great, to have things clicking? Sitting over here reading as fast as I can while keeping an eye out. :nomo:

Update time!~

I almost chopped Tikal today. I found some spots of mold growing at the base of the fans, where they sink into the colas, but when I took her out of the room today for a good examination, there was hardly any more of it, so I'm gonna give her a day at a time for awhile. She's been growing lots of nice new calyxes, she smells great and she's positively greasy.

BH x Destroyer is gettin' all knobby 'n' stuff. I think I'll try to get this one to go another couple weeks. I really like the new explosive calyx/trich growth - reminds me of her mother.

Tikal1 didn't exactly stop growing - she put on another 6 inches in the last 5 days, now at 36 inches tall.:laughtwo: Buds are developing nicely, so there can't be much more ... can there?

Taskenti is doing just fine, and I cracked a Freddy's Best and planted it yesterday.

It's gonna be fun here pretty soon. I have two harvests coming in the next two weeks and two more in late October. Then in late November all hell breaks loose. :laughtwo:

Peace, All.

The Perfect Update Gray.

Aha! That reminds me - I have a group shot of the cuttings, too ... the pale ones are the BH x UH that went totally dry.

DSCN87192.JPG

It Does feel good, thanks! :slide:

Soooo neat Graytail. The OHS cut1 - more orangey than the mother or about the same, by your memory? Any idea what run soil she's in?

Your Tikals get my blood boiling mister. Damn! Everything's so gorgeous it's almost sickening! LOL! Just kidding Graytail. :battingeyelashes: Don't know if I told you yet how sweet it was of you to have a Carnival running right ahead of mine. It gets me real excited to see where I can expect mine to go She says wistfully.

I'll be back later to stroll through again. Now I can finally start Callanetics. As always, I'm in awe. You keep getting better. That's a good thing, but we're having a hell of a time keeping up, you know? :kisstwo:

You da man, Mr. Tail!
Your updates are spectacular. Carnival looks quite different from Sue's. Both are beautiful. Maybe it is the training or where they are in their veg/bloom cycles (?).
Looks like it will be a busy holiday season on 420.

Heheh, I'm feeling a little picture-happy and plant-proud, so here are some more ... ! :yahoo: :cheesygrinsmiley:

I checked the bloom room this morning and had one of those moments of great satisfaction, y'know? When things look especially good? I put on my two pair of reading glasses and squinted carefully at Tikal to see if she grew any new mold, and got sticky strawberry fingers from it. Very nice. :cheesygrinsmiley: No particular problems so far. She's in a building phase so I don't want to interrupt that right now. The pic doesn't show the trichs well, but you can see the new growth.

On the other side is BH x Destroyer, also building ...

DSCN87271.JPG

And then I realized that I hadn't posted a pic of my light setup in awhile ...

:yahoo: I'm very pleased! And the results I'm getting justify it. It's pretty much ideal for the room. :slide:

@SweetSue - The OHS still doesn't smell much like orange, but the hairs are going all orange, which is part of why it's named that way. :cheesygrinsmiley:

[Edit]@Duggan - yeah I know, I know, I need to clean my pre-filter bag. :cheesygrinsmiley:

That's quite the setup, Gray! Looks perfect.

I'd be proud too. Your plants are gorgeous!

Do you just remove it and clean with warm water and dish detergent, let it dry and return? That's the way I do my lawn mower air cleaner. Jim

Wow GT You read my mind. I was just wonder this morning what your room with all the plants in it looks like after seeing your latest set of pics yesterday  What are the dimensions of that room?

Just beautiful!
