GratefulBud's Summer 2023 Outside Grow

Here are a few pics of my 6 plants. Getting really close to harvest IMO. A little droopy but they should be just fine. I'm seeing a lot more trichomes. I seem to have the "stress your plants to produce more trichomes" thing down. LOL!

White Widow looks ready. Tops look a little dry; lower buds look good but very few new white pistils.

Watermelon Kush had quite a few damaged buds - I chopped them off.

Mimosa had a little bit of damage as well but still looking good.

Critical Kush had a few damaged buds as well but not too bad. She's about another two weeks out I think.

The OG SIP looks really droopy. I removed a few damaged buds but she is still rockin' and smells wonderful.

The Gorilla SIP looks better than she has in weeks. Both SIPS are about 2 more weeks out I think.

Beautiful pic, GB!
Is that Convict Lake?

Won't be long now- they're all looking damn good !
You're gonna have sooo much weed...
Hiya Carcass!
No this is Upper Twin near Bridgeport. I absolutely love it up there.

It was a warm day today so Mimosa and the OG sip decided to go for a swim.

It got very windy this afternoon.

I absolutely love it up there.
I do too- my Dad and I used to trout fish on the Owens river- those were some damn good times...

You might want to throw a life vest on those plants.. 😁

I've caught a lot of fish on the Owens. My favorite place on the planet is Twin Lakes and Robinson creek.
And one other secret spot I won't mention.

That one looks like it's drink'n out of the pool. "See a man attempt an underwater grow!" All joking aside those are some damn good looking plants. Aquatic Marijuana coming in spring 2024.
Thanks POG!

This summer has been a challenge for sure. I've had to deal with:
Excess heat
Zombie Ladybugs
Rain and humidity
Unusual cold spell
Caterpillars
Botrytis
Hurricane
Earthquake

Sheesh.

Thanks POG!

All you need now is a plague of locusts!

You’re nearly there babe! Not long now. I love your summer grows 💚💚💚

Yet your plants are doing remarkably well, despite all that!👍

Throw in some drought, famine and pestilence, and you've got a little apocalypse going!

Yep. Seems like all of growing outdoors have had challenges.

I saw a HUGE grasshopper on the patio today. Huge.

Thanks Carcass!
For all the problems mother nature through at you, you have done a great job.
Thanks Keith!
I think I'm gonna chop one or two tomorrow.

My buddy is not convinced Low and Slow in the fridge is the way to go. He had some half inch corrugated panels along with a chiller so what did we do?
We built a drying box:

Dimensions are 6ft wide by 34" deep by 34" tall.
Still need to cut a hole for exhaust air and the drain tube. Should keep the temp inside the box around 60˚F so I just need to worry about humidity.
I'll put some inside the fridge, and most inside the drying box on racks.
Should be interesting.

Looks like you're going to be busy during the next couple of weeks - lots of fine-looking buds on those plants! :bravo:

I'm a little jealous of that dry box you built. My wife is not pleased with me whenever I put buds into our refrigerator. It smells up the kitchen whenever the door gets opened.

Oh yeah!
This cooler weather is finishing the buds I think. Not quite as "plump" as a week ago.
