Thats right Bt has a expiration date. Better check mine.I went out and got a new bottle of BT because of your experience! with the rest of the killing.
Thanks Tra!Hello you!
Sorry to hear about the caterpillars and rot.
Growing is not for the faint hearted that’s fo sho.
Thanks man! Good luck to you as well. Those little fuckers just do not die. I feel for you brother.
Hey Shed!I went out and got a new bottle of BT because of your experience! with the rest of the killing.
Hopefully, whatever they gnawed on gave them a bellyfull of bt...It's weird. I spray bt, then the next day I see a bunch of damage.
Hiya Carcass!Hopefully, whatever they gnawed on gave them a bellyfull of bt...
I sprayed Castile soap yesterday so that should help. Her buds are sticky gooey. Sun is finally out in earnest today! First time in weeks it seems like.Damn that little bugger and your neighbor's tree! WK flowers are getting thick but something is nibbling the leaves (mites or thrips - I have a hard time telling those white spots apart). On the plus side the treatment's the same if you feel like spraying. if you think it's close to coming down though it might not take enough damage in the meantime to matter.
Sun's out today!
LOL!Man, that plant has a lot of issues!
Lol.
Don't give up on her!I’m afraid the gorilla sip is lost. She looks like absolute shit.
There you go! Actually, I think it's looking better than my SIP plant. The Gorilla SIP is still kicking - and looking better than she did a few weeks ago.
I've found there's two different issues that caterpillars cause. One is botrytis, which is caused by the caterpillar poop. Throw that stuff in the trash! The other is just the bud drying up because the caterpillar chewed its stem off from below. In the later case, I don't think you need to throw the entire bud in the trash. At this stage you should be able to keep it and use it for oils, or if it's really close to ripe, you just dry it and treat it like tester weed.Today 6 of her best tops were showing rot damage.
Those buds were rock hard sticky and gooey.
The way BT works is that the caterpillars have to eat the treated plant material, and then it slowly kills them - over a couple days, I believe. It doesn't kill them on contact. So you're going to continue to get damage for a couple days. It's weird. I spray bt, then the next day I see a bunch of damage. WTH? It's like I piss them off and they chomp like crazy.
From the pictures you've shared, to me it looks like White Widow still has a couple more weeks.I'm thinking these two plants may be close. Hardly any new white pistils, and the red hairs are enveloped in the calyx. Buds on these two plants are thick and chunky whereas the others are still fattening up.
Thanks HashGirl!Sorry I missed most of your grow, GB. It was a busy summer.
And, I'm sorry about the bud rot. I've had to deal with that in past years so I definitely feel your pain.
Nonetheless, I think your plants look pretty good all things considering.
Thanks Beez!In spite of your caterpillar issues, I think your plants are looking fantastic!
Don't give up on her!
