GratefulBud's Summer 2023 Outside Grow

Wayminit.
Are those adams apples?
Oh and that took way too long to notice, you better stay away from alcohol 🤣 you might wake up with a sore bum and a vague memory 😳😳 and someone laying beside you with a bigger 5 o'clock shadow than you 🤣🤣

All of your plants are looking awesome so far this season! Seems like your droopy SFV OG has worked itself out. :thumb:
The Gorilla looks just fine - a few leaf hoppers but no more than the plants under nets. Maybe less. I'm thinking nature balances things out. I just need to stay on top of the BT spraying and I should be fine.
For my outdoor grows, I get a few leaf hoppers and occasionally thrips, but I've never felt the need to spray my plants. Once the plants get out of the seedling stage, they grow fast enough to not really get affected by a few chewed-on or sucked-on leaves. The only thing I spray for is those evil caterpillars, and weekly BT seems to do the trick.

Hi GB! Hope you don't mind me stopping in and hanging out while you finish up! I'm going to try and get caught up today if I can! Hope all is well friend!

I sprayed BT a few days ago and WHAM! Yesterday I saw bud damage on the White Widow and sure enough it was from a caterpillar. Today I saw a caterpillar on the Critical Kush. I squished him. Gonna spray BT again once the hurricane tropical storm blows past.

Thanks! I finally got it back to where it was drinking the same as the Gorilla and now I get to deal with a storm.

Hi Krissi!
Welcome aboard!

All is well except for the remnants of Hurricane Hilary blowing through my neighborhood.
I moved all my plants under the patio so they don't get soaked - raining like crazy here today. The res in both SIP buckets was still half full but I topped off thinking more weight will help keep the wind from knocking them over. Nope. 2 minutes later the bigger one - Gorilla - blew over. 5 mins later the OG blew over. Yikes! Liquid nutes all over the patio now. I placed chairs next to both to help prop them up. Starting to get really windy here now.

Gonna be fun today!

Yeah, pretty crazy weather here in Cali. Still dry and sunny here so far. Looks like your area is getting hit pretty hard. Good luck with the plants.

Good work with the chairs for support! We haven't gotten any wind but it been raining pretty much all day. I'm glad you've someplace to keep them dry.

Hey Shed hope you had safe travels!
Crazy day. Plants blew over, pouring rain all day long, earthquake, floods, and my power went out from 8pm to 10pm.
Wild!

We are 29 days in flower and still chugging along. All six plants are looking good, although I'm seeing some yellowing lower leaves. The Gorilla in the SIP looks the worst. Not sure why. I've been slowly increasing the supplemental nutes to add nitrogen and potassium. Did not seem to be helping so I brewed some worm casting tea and added that yesterday. Will see what that does. I may flush the SIP. Better PH the runoff first I think.

Gorilla SIP

Watermelon Kush looks good - tops are frosty as heck!

I was too lazy to pull the netting off of the other 4 so no pictures of them but . . . soon.

Party on!

They look great GB! Really great!

Your plant looks good too Shed. My grow style is kinda similar to yours, in regards to the indoor/outdoor mix, but I never get the big yields you get, unfortunately.

I've got the same issue on my SIP plant. I've increased the N and the K, but so far not much change. I've also gone with Shed's suggestion of wrapping the pot in a wet towel. It's still too early to say there's an improvement, but fingers crossed...

They're looking great! Might want to try the wet towel trick since it stopped my SWICK from yellowing.
I’ve got a patio chair cushion blocking the sun. She’s drinking very little now. Her flowers look really good - although I did snip off a bud top. Had caterpillar damage. Sprayed bt again today.

Thanks Tra! I’ve got coca colas galore! More pics soon.

Yeah something is irritating her. The worm casting tea did not cheer her up. Her sip sister (the one who threw a hissy fit a few weeks ago) is doing just fine. I’ll figure it out.

Grow really is amazing so far, GB! The pic of the White Widow on the plant is a PHOTM!

Flowering stage is looking splendid on your ladies, I love your zip enclosures! I had purchased one myself but hadn't even dawned on me to use the supports on the interior surrounding the plant as you did.

Thanks for letting me hop on board a little late, excited to see this grow come to fruition. As for the weirdo in the bunch right now, don't we always have one?! But we always figure it out, no matter how crazy these beauties are!
