Grape Ape & Golden Tiger Hit the Shower - DBHBB & 600W HPS - Winter 2016

Hey Major, can you snag a fan or two from some plants and check to see how far apart brix is between the green ones and the yellow ones?

I can see your dilemma. There has GOT to be an answer.

I'll see what I can do.

Have you contacted Doc?

No. I should but the GASS are quick. With only another 2-3 weeks left, I'm not sure how much more I can manipulate things to help the one that is yellowing. To keep from drowning it, I can only drench about once per week, maximum. Since she had one Cat drench, and I want to finish on GE, it doesn't leave me with a lot of options. The yield would be small anyway so I think I'm going to concentrate on the Tigers and the Ape that is looking good so far.

Hey Major, lots of stuff to try hey?! You don't really have much to lose at this point so if it were me I would work a handful of "roots" powder into the top of the soil and do a double dose of growth drench. I wouldn't worry about the schedule for that one. I've got a test plant that I really try to "overfeed" within reason and my conclusion is the drenches won't burn the plant (within reason). You are feeding the soil not the plant. Just a thought but maybe the herd is unhappy or lacking. FWIW I have gone as high as 2X the drench amounts without issue. You should also go heavy on the transplant. I don't know if you do the super drench or not but man that is a ton of transplant and I have yet to see a burn from it. Transplant is great stuff! Go heavy! I mean you can't really do anymore harm.

Well, I did not see this coming. I have a new ... tricot (?).
I popped this because one of the two Panama(+) beans never did and I wanted to replace it (potential summer girl).

Cool, I like new plants! What is it?

My mutant had 3 nodes with weirdly deformed leaves, but after 6 nodes it seems straightened out. It's behind the others, but I'm going to let it go.

Shes(Panama??) so cute!! :)

Yes - this replacement is also a Panama(+).
I'm looking forward to see how it develops. It will probably look like any other after a few nodes, but who knows? I just hope it's a "she". I only started two of each strain in hopes of getting one female.

Girly girl vibes coming your way!
Go Panama!

Weekend Update (beginning of week #13)
46 days since flip to 12/12, 37 days from first pistils

Happy Sunday gang! :welcome:

This update looks a lot like last week's.
GASS#1 had its 2nd Cat drench while GASS#2 had the 1st Cat. GT(+)#2 is beginning to bulk. She had GE last time around and now has a lovely, bright citrus smell - lime, I think. The other Tiger is still much slower and acting a little droopy. Both appear to have stopped stretching. Tiger #2 will get its 1st Cat for the next drench. The Ape with yellow leaves is doing much better but it still wants to turn older leaves yellow. I've thrown everything at it: lots of Tea and Trans, as well as GE. All of them get one Destress and two 1/2 strength Brix sprays per week. The buds are filling out nicely and both Apes are finally beginning to stink up the shower. Maybe the differences I'm seeing are from the soil, or it may just be the difference in phenos.

Here is the weekly picture dump. I think pictures explain what's going on better than my blabbering.

The whole group under HPS & LED. Potential summer tykes along the side.

This is GASS #1. She has never had a yellow leaf. Pistils are more orange than usual. I believe it is due to being close to the LEDs. I'm keeping all plants closer than usual as a test. The Tigers are so tall, I decided to let the very top get a little too close so that the bulk of the plants get more light.

This is Ape #2 - the evil twin. She has bulked up and the yellowing has slowed.

Golden Tiger(+) #2. I didn't pull the other Tiger out of the shower. It is a real hassle. Even after supercropping the top 12" - 16", she is too tall to move easily. Next drench for her will be Cat #1. Buds look very wispy, but actually have a fair amount of density to them. If they continue to bulk up, this plant could have 2' long colas.

Here are the babies: Panama(+) on the right, Zamaldelica(+) on the left. The small Panama mutant is the replacement for my bean that didn't pop. It is 4 days old. The other three are 13 days above ground. Once they have been sexed, they will be put back into my veg area (or the compost bin).

Too many pictures?
I was hoping to have an update on the outdoor grow setup but weather hasn't been cooperating. I plan to get the cages placed and filled and the fence built soon.

Have a great Sunday and thanks for hanging in there with me. :thanks:

:Namaste:

Looks really good Major. Glad everything has bounced back for ya.
