Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

I will let tead give you the sermon on how to distribute the osmocote+ because I am not familiar with the details.

Basically perlite, as you may be aware, is a highly pourus volcanic rock that's is very lightweight and floats. Tead may have some advice on his planting instructions. I personally think a rapid rooter plug would be your best option if you have one avalible. If not, I can send you a few. But tead may inist on leading you though his way. Which is okay by me. He knows his hempy stuff.

Regardless. Have we lost jane??? It just makes me sad that we got her sorted out and then she went south again ..

Well your resilliance is certianly commendable my friend. Hope your new years is off to. Great start grandpa and miss K. Be well and God bless

I have some rockwool cubes I'll be sending, should work a charm.
I want everybody to know that PW has stepped up to the plate again! He is not only sending rockwool, there are some other things as well. Thank you so much, my friend! :circle-of-love: :namaste:

My apologies, Dabber. I somehow missed your post. Thank you for that info on perlite.
Unfortunately, we lost Jane. I'm sure you have read that the soil that was put forward to me as water only, was not. I was told after describing the situation to build a soil, that that mix was definitely not what I thought it was. It needed a lot of amendments to become a seed to harvest type of soil. So it was way too hot to grow any kind of a young plant, and I suspect that it would be problematic for even a mature plant. So... Now we have been on a search for a good medium for a blind man like myself to use. That is why I have decided to use these three different mediums and see which works better for us. Obviously and as always, any input you have is taken seriously and placed into my thoughts what action I will take at any given time during each grow thanks again, bro. :namaste:

Good morning, 420 mag family! We are getting closer and closer to dropping the seeds. A couple of things came to mind that for the life of me I can't figure out. With the hempy, how exactly are the seeds planted? Are they germinated in a wet paper towel and then placed in the perlite? Are the seeds soaked for 24 hours, then placed in perlite directly? Regardless of how it's done question how deep do you place the seed in the perlite when you plant it? How and when is the nutrients placed in the pot for time-release efficacy?
I just can't figure out how that works to picture it in my mind. I hope and pray everybody's day is full of peace and joy! :young-plant:
Any other input? Not to be demanding or anything... :tongue-out: .

100% agreed... Except for one thing. I don't know about the deserving part. But, we'll Keep On Keepin On, and to refer back to the 70s... Keep On Truckin. :winking-face:

Thanks a ton, NS. Like I am so often saying, the more the merrier!
I am quite excited to be trying this soil-less hempy bucket. I am also quite interested in seeing the difference in growth between that medium and the Kind soil. Then we will have our little Auto plant in Coco Loco with a little layer of the build a soil at the bottom of the pot. This whole grow should be very interesting to watch, and in my case, to do. Thanks for checking in! God bless! :folded-hands:

Seriously, Jeffie??!!? Really?!!? Don't you and the doj have things much better to do and in the real interests of this country to do? Things like... Oh... Maybe looking into Hillary's email server, the Clinton Foundation, the uranium one deal... And so many more things that had a direct effect on this country in the past 2 or 3 years! Seems to me these hold a little more importance 5and priority than trying to deny people with legitimate medical concerns, and legitimate medical treatment with this wonderful plant of ours! Even president Trump said he was not going to mess with it being in the state's hands, where in his opinion, it belongs. Once again, you defy our president! Mr. Jeff sessions, mr. Attorney general... Get the hell out of the way of progress! And while you're at it, resign your position!

Why do I say this? If you haven't heard it yet, here's why...

"Poll: Majority of Americans Oppose Federal Intervention on Marijuana
BY DUKE LONDON ONJANUARY 10TH, 2018 AT 1:02 PM

In the wake of Jeff Sessions rescinding the Cole memo and attempting to reignite the failing war on cannabis in America, many politicians and citizens alike have come out in defiance of the archaic approach to law enforcement. Now, we have tangible evidence Americans are not in favor of Sessions and the Department of Justice (DOJ) unwinding years of drug policy reform progress.

According to a poll conducted by HuffPost and YouGov shortly after the DOJ announced new federal prosecution guidelines for marijuana at the state level, 56 percent of Americans surveyed said they are opposed to the federal government interfering with states that have legalized cannabis for either medical or recreational purposes.

Additionally, respondents believe fairly overwhelmingly that marijuana laws should not be determined at the federal level, with only 32 percent agreeing that federal law should rule the issue.

In case anyone was worried that all 1,000 U.S. adults surveyed are marijuana users, 74 percent said they had not consumed cannabis in the last year.

Regardless of smoking history, 55 percent of Americans surveyed believe marijuana should be legal at both the state and federal levels. Other polls have found even higher rates of national support, with a recent Gallup Poll finding a majority of Republicans want prohibition to cease.

Even with updated prosecution guidance from Sessions and the DOJ for U.S. Attorneys across the country, many lawmakers have come out and said their priorities will not change as they continue to focus time and resources on issues that truly danger the people in their jurisdictions, such as violent crime and the opioid crisis."

Well gramps, as frustrating as it may be, his actions will unintentionally push federal legalization. As van said yesterday, too many Americans support medicinal use, or use it recreationally themselves for the federal government to succeed. I know there are representatives (dem, rep, and ind) joining forces here in Alaska to fight him on it.

Jeffie? Your nicknames need work. If Trump has taught us anything its federal taxes suck, dont use twitter, the media is extremely biased, and everyone needs a good nickname. How about Jackass Jeff or Jughead Jeff?

Why you say that you don't know about the deserving part? The harder it is to grow for you the more stuff gets sent to you. You're family Grandpa...:)

He is mentally retarded.. is that what you meant growchy?? .. Im interested in hempy too.. my guess is youll get a bigger plant/bigger yield in hempy but your kind soil buds will be more potent and have more terpines.
Nah...he's just your run-of-the-mill one minded idiot.
.
Oh yes, those things will be quite interesting to find out first-hand.

Oh... I have no doubt that the federal government will fail in this. And we all know how president Trump feels about failure. :winking-face:
The Man simply has his priorities all screwed up, needs to stop acting like such a milke-toast and do his job properly.
