Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

Thanks a lot folks! As soon as we go lights on at 5 p.m. our time, we'll check out how they are doing today. I especially want to check the weight of the pot and have Kelley take some more pics if she thinks they or one of them look a little Wilkey. I expect Emma to start doing that very soon.
I agree that the new light will make a huge difference not only in heat but also in lumens so they have plenty for each. The new one will be mounted right beside the old so it will make as much of a light bar as we can.

I'm actually very excited about two things tomorrow. One is definitely the light, and the other is my baptism at a local Lake and then church service and barbecue at the lake. The only downside is that it will be between 102 and 105 degrees tomorrow. I have a sneaky suspicion of light will probably not be installed until Monday or Tuesday. I hate to hold my excitement that long, but my spiritual life comes first and I know I will be very tired from the heat. As soon as it's up, I will post pics.

As far as the girls... Kelly tells me their color is great, no sign of any wilting at all, and according to my touch they are very happy, and there's stems although very thin and fragile still, are much stronger than the last grow thanks to that extra breeze. Forgot to take pics, so I will post some as soon as I can..

Good Monday everyone! I feel quite at peace, relaxed and quite worn out. It was a very powerful Church Gathering and baptism yesterday. We did manage to get some pics of the girls this morning at lights on. Here they are. As soon as that light is installed, I will post pics.

They're looking darn good to me. :thumb:

Thanks a lot for the responses, guys. Unfortunately, the top clip for the light that IT sent is too small to fit around the top poles of the tent. Will have to go to Lowe's or somewhere similar and pick up one that's a little bigger so we can hang it. Other than that, it's ready to go.
Kelley tells me the girls are doing well, Emma is about half an inch taller, and Elsa is sprouting up New Growth as well even though a little shorter. Neither one show signs of needing any water yet. Both standing strong and unwilted in any way. I don't know if I have mentioned this yet, but we have the air pump all connected and the air stone bubbling away at full strength in a 5 gallon bucket of water that we are now using for water when they need it. As soon as we picked up the batteries for the pH pen, we will test the pH of that water. So... The story continues as it is now.
I don't even see any reason to start being concerned at all about nutrients. I just wonder if I should be starting to think about at least the grow and / or the micro blast. I know the soil still has plenty for them, but I just don't have any kind of a schedule for these products. I don't want to wait until it's too late, and I don't want to start early for the obvious reasons. I'll post pics in the next day or two. I just want to be sure that Emma is not stretching for the light. Other than that I'll let them tell me when they need something. I know the Thirsty signs of the leaves wilting and pointing down and the hungry signs of the wilting with the leaves still pointing up... So I guess we'll just go with that and look for any discoloration or holes in the leaves. That's the best that I have learned up to now. If there is anything else I should be looking for, please let me know.

I wouldn't worry about stretching just yet (maybe pics can clear it up..maybe emma), in a way I think maybe you want them too right now (too a point), least till say bottom leaves get near or clear pot-tops, then you can worry about stretch, I was so worried about that early on both my girls later I have issues with massive fan leaves growing into sides of pot lol... if I had to do it over again I would have kept my light higher for first 5-7 days out of the ground, then brought it down to keep them short from that point on. You live you learn. lol - what a difference an extra inch can make (that's wide open for a 'that's what she said').

Good afternoon everyone! We took some pics of the girls at lights out this morning, and checked them this afternoon at when lights went on. Kelley tells me that they still show no signs of needing water, that's the pots are feeling very light. I'm trying to keep the balance between not getting too much or too little water. Due to the weight of the pot, even though they show no signs of wilting, I'm thinking about giving them a little drink sometime tomorrow, probably after lights come on. Maybe you guys can see something she can't or that I can't feel. I am also thinking that it might be better to wait until we get the batteries for the pH pen. Just so we can be sure that the pH is good.
Here they are in all their Glory.

Looking greats.

I think this was about the stage I feed mine just a tiny bit, like 50ml each about 3" out from the stem just to tide them over till a more full watering days later, but like you said, no obvious signs so maybe wait for the ph pen to be available.

Lights went out a little while ago and I'm told the girls still look good. However, they don't seem to be doing much growing. They look healthy, but Emma is only three to four inches high and Elsa about one to one and a half. That sounds rather small to me. We were going to put a little bit of water out to the leaf line from the stem today after we went to the lights on. Do you guys think we should add some nutrients to that water to help with growth? I'm thinking that at approximately 13 and 15 days old they should be bigger than that since they're autos. Any thoughts?

I think they are more or less fine, I would do what you feel with the little water, but I would not add nutrients other than little cal-mag maybe. My Candy Cane and WWidows were the following sizes on said days if it helps for general comparison:

Day12: CC: 2" WW:2.5"
Day13: CC: 2" WW:2.5"
Day14: CC: 2.2" WW:3.00" (growth really started kicking in daily)
Day15: CC: 2.5" WW:3.25"
Day16: CC: 2.8" WW:3.50"
Day17: CC: 3.5" WW:4.1"
From ~15 to 20 though they about doubled. Only thing I did around those days was move my lights up a couple inches (daily matching the height growth; no nutes till day 20 other than cal-mag on mine; Day 15 was first real whole pots type watering in my case)

/2cents for what it's worth.
