Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

I made the list . I am so honored. Thank you for compiling this list G2HM!

Oops there are formatting errors, sorry guys, but I do believe this thread is special because of everyone. This is still the best family thread around. I wanted to start the new year off right since Grandpa is on yet, another journey. We are doing something really unique and it takes a community to do this. Cheers everyone, it was my pleasure. :high-five:

The soil advisor gave ya some great advice.. sounds like a good plan. Id stick with your organic nutes if you wanna keep everything organic.
Yeah. It actually made sense to me as he was telling me. I can see how the nutrients in the CL, not being as hot as the ocean Forest, would be really well-rounded for a Seedling and through the veg. cycle. When final transplant comes around, the idea that actually doing the flip at the same time is unusual, however I believe it will be effective. I will have a fresh 3 to 4 weeks before having to even worry about nutes. Of course, some Cal/Mag made me needed under those LEDs.

toasty...not only are you a seriously talented grower, you also have given me the honor of becoming my friend. The evidence of this is the fact that you took it upon yourself to not only send me that light a few months ago, you are now sending the CL and pH crystals and the Great White! I can never thank you enough. For all of the advice, friendship and of course, this great stuff! Big hand for him, everyone! :cheer:

Hall of Fame, huh, Lady G. What a wonderful and unique idea! I am so honored that all of you on that list took the time to spend here. You all is why this thread is as good as it is. Thank you! May God bless everyone in this coming year! :circle-of-love: .

Good evening everyone... We need serious prayers year! I cannot get into detail, but please prayers for healing. Not for either of us, but someone very, very close to us. Thank you in advance and may God bless. :folded-hands:

Dear Grandpa and Kelly - My thoughts and good vibes are with you and those close to you.

I've been trying to catch up with your journal for a while now, subscribed late, and been too shy to speak up. I might be jumping on the band-wagon here but your journal is inspirational in every way. You have pulled off a brilliant community grow. Just shows you what perseverance, positive attitude and community encouragement can achieve.

You have brought together a very positive group of 420 members, and some of that positive energy will be on its way back to you now.

Thanks for the kind words and thoughts, Bizz. Now that the first post is out of the way, don't let your shyness stop you. There is no reason to be shy in this thread, or any other on this forum, for that matter.
Frankly and honestly, although This Thread is about my trying to grow, I didn't gather anyone. They gathered themselves, and took it upon themselves to do whatever they could to help me succeed. They are all great examples of what this community can and will do. Hopefully, this next one will be a huge success, so all of us can celebrate! These people are my family. They truly are. I wish I could nominate all of them for member of the month, every month. They all deserve a lot of recognition for what they have done here. Once again, thank you for your kind words and thoughts. May God bless you and yours. :namaste:

Goodmorning Grandpa, hope all is well in your world!

Goodmorning Grandpa, hope all is well in your world!
Right back at you, HS. I hope everything is well with you. Glad to see you are home safely from your trip. Hope that your Christmas was a wonderful one and your new year will be full of new discoveries and great crops! May God bless! ;circle-of-love:

Okay everybody, here is the plan.

This time we will be running One auto and one photo plant. The auto will be planted directly into CL soil with a 1-2 inches of the Build-A-Soil on the bottom. The photos will be initially placed in a cup with cl soil. When she is transplanted, it will be into a 1 gallon pot to veg until either the auto is ready, or she has outgrown that pot. The final transplant will be into her 3 gallon fabric pot filled with FFOF. We have the Cal-Mag and Earth Juice Bloom, Grow and Micro-Blast ready.
both Growant and Mars Hydro panels will be used from the start, with the Mars Hydro set to bloom and the Growant to veg.
With this run being rather experimental in some areas, I will probably be a real pain in the butt. But I'd rather stay on top of things, than have to react to a possible issue. From this point on, it will be up to God to help them to grow healthy, and up to us to follow your directions and make it easy on Him.
Thoughts and observations, please. :thumb:

Everything sounds great Grandpa.

Now in terms of your future transplant of your photo gal. I have an option for you to try.

You could technically fill up your 1 gallon pot for veg now, and place your cup in the middle. You can bury your cup up to ground level so it's level. This way when you transplant, you'll be able to feel your way back into the hole with your fingers and place it in. This may have the least amount of impact while transplanting from cup to 1 gallon and guide your fingers to the same place every time.

Just trying to think of techniques you can do now, that will save you time and effort in the future. :Namaste:

Still sending prayers to your loved one's.

First, let me thank you for the prayers. Things have taken a different turn with that, so the more the better. Thank you again!

Now...as for your transplanting technique. I love it! I did a variation of it, except I dug a hole in the final pot and buried the cup to the soil level then I remove the cup, removed Jane from the cup, and placed her in the pot. It was way off center, because I didn't accurately determine where it was. By doing it your way, I know it will be in the middle, and it will be just a matter of taking her out of the cup and placing her in the pot

WOW that is surreal in similarity, I love it.

See Grandpa, all this stuff you already know by instinct. It's just a matter of linking your instinct with growth stage techniques. That is crazy how we can relate so closely like that.

I haven't coached you from the soil stage, so now I get to think ahead for you. ;)

Keep up the good work. It will get easier. Setting the stage is the hardest part for everyone, when it comes to one...little...seed. ;)

Much luv to you and yours. This is our year Grandpa, I can feel it. :Namaste:
