Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

No no I seen his humidity levels need to go up 27% not good for roots to do their thing correct?

RH being low, in my opinion based off first hand knowledge of running most of my 1st veg cycle in a New England winter with RH between 16-24% for most of the entire veg cycle, is the least important factor behind the plant having good light and good nutrients, good air circulation, and good temps. RH to me is least important. It will slow the growth rate down perhaps a touch but to me thats a simple fix....grow the plant an extra two weeks in veg to compensate.

Now when it comes to flower time, really high RH can be far more dangerous than low RH during veg.

Some good information being passed around here today Gramps! Hope all is well in your garden :circle-of-love:

What about a timer? Not Sure If that Will solve all the problems but setting a 5 sec delay can help in combination with the selfie stick?
I really don't mean to be a negative Nicholas here... But setting a timer was only giving me a chance to screw up the shot trying to hold it in position. Not a bad idea though. Thanks for tossing it out there. That just might help somebody else who is having problems taking the proper picture.

Goodmorning Grandpa! Hope you got an awesome weekend ahead of you

Gramps one you have an area figured out how to take a picture of the plant maybe mark out the area with something you can feel so next time you can go a standing spot feel for something as a marker

And then once you have the same thing for pot mark that area so you know maybe run a sting connecting it from the side of your pot? Holding it in place the string on pot ? Then have your other area marked with tape and the string to floor and just simply follow the sting kinda deal?

Just thinking outside of box here brother

I understand completely about the mold, having spent over 15 years and was Pest Control industry. And in reading a lot of posts and a lot of articles on the subject. But I still get confused trying to remember what humidity is what in veg or bloom. Also, this is the first time I even kept track of the humidity. I'm also happy to hear that there are no time constraints with these photo plants. If she's stunted, give her a couple extra weeks in veg.

Thanks, HS. Will find out when lights come on later this morning. I was a bad boy and did not check on her yesterday because everything was so hectic. Today will not be much less hectic... But I'll be sure to look in on her, and may even try a new method of taking pictures that I have thought of. 😉

I must apologize to all of you. I really have not deserted This Thread, but moving our daughter and Grandson in, doing the grocery and household supplies shopping for the months, and simply trying to beat the rain caused me more stress than I could deal with. So, I stayed as medicated as I could. And doing that, I just had no energy to do anything. Even pick up my phone and post. When we get the rest of the shopping for Thanksgiving done today, I'll experiment more with taking pictures myself. I'll also post a report. Once again... My sincere apologies. :sad:

Take tour time grandpa. Whatever the reason is for them moving in I hope you have a wonderful time together and I wish that you can really Enjoy eachother company.

Stress is a No go and your life Goes before the journal.

Hope to see You are all ok and balanced soon :)

Thanks so much, NS. We appreciate your kind words. You're right, stress is definitely not a good thing for me. It's the one thing that can make my heart start to reject. The anti-rejection medications that I take do not do anything for stress. So I avoid it at every turn.

Take your time, I wont be going anywhere :)

I for one definitely care about the stress you're going through Grandpa, you gotta focus on you before anything else :circle-of-love: nothing but love here, take it easy and relax, have a good time - I'm sure Kelley would love to hear some sweet-talk :Love: Enjoy your daughter and grandson, we're all so proud of you.

Report time...
Temp = 76°
rH = 28%

It looks like I'm going to have to water her every couple of days right now. I don't think her roots are as far down as they should be. The bottom of the pot is very wet when I water it, and the top of the soil is bone dry within 1 to 2 days. Yet the bottom of the pot remains wet. Have I somehow it screwed up compacting the soil? Here is the sad result of the soil going that dry on top.

That is very sweet of you to say, HS. I am definitely getting some rest and relaxing as much as I can. :circle-of-love:
We all must take care of ourselves, regardless. I am a perfect example of what can happen when you abused the temple of God that is your body for as many years as I did. I'll be fine. Thanks to my Lord I always am... .

We got cal mag going now ?

Coming along better still gramps wish I could help get that humidity up somehow . Roots thrive with the right humidity.

Guess what we got to figure something fats for ya bud.

Is your pot in a saucer or dish?
It is in a planter tray designed for a 4 gallon plastic pot. It is one of the same ones we used on the first grow. She is also standing on top of a small plastic platform that has a checkerboard pattern of holes in it for air flow to the bottom of the pot. Hope things are going well with you, my friend! :namaste: :folded-hands:

Oops! I forgot to mention that she got some water at 6.6. The temp today was 74 degrees and the humidity was 29%. Kelley got a bee in her Bonnet last night, and moved the tent while I was sleeping. It is much more comfortable and easy to access since I now only have to sit on the bed and open it up. The one disadvantage is the fact that it is exhausting the air directly into the room. But now it is quite easy to play around in there and everything outside that teunt is easy to get to and use as well. Thank you, honey!
